Please don't ripoff a customer on the fuel level. I was told that the fuel level was 5/8th and I would have to return it at that level. I didn't check when I started but when I was getting back to return the vehicle I noticed that the vehicle had only 1/4 tank. And I had to put in 10 gallons. I asked the guy there about it and he said. "The vehicle gives only 5mpg". I had driven only 50 miles. Please check the fuel level and all the other stuff before itself.

Couldn't hook up a trailer because the equipment wasn't compatible. I was there day before the rental date to reserve the trailer and the sales associate told me we would okay to hook it up and it wasn't

Why do you even send surveys out? I have filled out SEVERAL for UHaul and have yet to get a reply even thanking me for my feedback. (Yes, I've gotten the little screen "thank you" but that is only system generated.) Why bother if you don't know you are being heard???

The latch on the truck did not latch well we lost our bed
It would be great if you wouldn't have the customers wait in a long line to get refunds after they've been checked in outside. Maybe have the person who checks them in where they're returning come inside to retrieve their refund.

I ended up renting pads/blankets based on recommendation from the site reservation. The movers I hired brought their own pads (saying that the Haul ones aren't very good quality). I ended up not using any of them, but when I returned the truck, I was charged $100 for "missing pads". I don't believe I ever received all of the pads I rented. Nor, did I end up using any. But, end of the day, I paid over $100 for something I didn't use and can't confirm one way or the other. Would certainly never use Uhaul pads and would recommend others from using any extra UHaul equipment as it doesn't appear that the process is valid for checking on how many were assigned out and taken back in.
The truck smelled like cigarette smoke. I'm not a smoker so it was a bit of a problem at first but not horrible.

First, you can be honest and not over charge people. I was charged for twice the van, equipment, and coverage. Then, was charged an additional $7.55 upon return from a 2 1/2 hour same day trip (Whwn I returned the van/equipment I was told I was receiving $7.55 as credit). I discovered this the next day when I saw my emailed receipt (the check-out happened in the parking lot). I called to get the situation rectified. To my surprise, I was blamed for the mistake; was told I said I would return the van in two hours, but kept it 30 minutes extra (was told you didn't charge by the hour). There were at least 3 holds on my bank account for a $55 trip (amount discovered after I went back to the store to get the money returned to my account that I was over charged). I was initially charged $95.13 for a 20 mile 2 1/2 hour rental! People, check your receipts. DO NOT let the friendliness fool you! After all that, I did not receive an apology. Makes me wonder how many people this has happened to. Smh!
Had to switch truck sizes at the last minute. Workers were flexible, accommodating and fast!!! Loved it. Highly recommended.

If A UHAUL Location Chooses To Put A HOLD On A Customer Name To Prevent The Customer From Renting A UHAUL Next Time If There Is A Next That Would Prompt The Customer To Have To Phone Call 1-877-653-0490 As Soon As The Customer Pays Everything In Full That Should Be Removed As Soon As Possible/Immediately To Prevent Unnecessary Delays/Great Inconveniences Which It Caused Me On Saturday December 27th 2014 Should The Customer Choose To Go With UHAUL Next Time. Excellent help getting light kit for trailer

Better communication between the store and national customer service in order to have the same process restrictions/allowances on rentals. I had an excellent service from the 800 call center, when in store the service was not that good.
I asked for 12 moving pad & a dolly and the manager transmitted this info to the person in the trailer yard. I assumed both items were in there and rushed to my office to meet an appointment (in another car!). After my office visit I had to RETURN to the Plano center and asked for the blankets but asked that the dolly be reoved as I picked the one up in my warehouse. They removed it (a $10 credit). and I missed my $50/hour movers by 15 minutes (costing me roughly $17!) because of the return trip to the U-Haul center.
When I looked at my checking account statement yesterday the center in Plano charged me TWICE!! Onc efor the total amount w the dolly and AGAIN for the Full amount minust teh dolly!!
Then in Houston my daughter, who graduated from Texas A&M on Friday was charged $30 because the trailer was late being returned!
All in all I will be looking into Penske next time, as wewill need a trailer to move my older daughter (who graduated from Univ. of Arkansas in May) to Grad school next May unless some thing is rectified for this horrible experience!!
Moving truck ran very poorly! It definatley needed maintenance. Called at least 5 times to try and get ahold of someone but was either transfered, hung up on, disconnected or no one was able to assist in WHO we needed to speak with to address several issues that we were having as of the time we had the vehicle. The store itself though we would recommend to everyone. It was clean and the staff went above and beyond. If you had exceptional experience at the location you rec'd the vehicle give them a call.... instead of the u-haul toll free number who's agents don't care and are unhelpful and unfriendly.
LOCATION IS A DEFINATE GREAT PLACE NICE CLEAN PLACE AND COURTEOUS STAFF.(JUST WOULD NOT CALL TOLL FREE NUMBER IF ISSUE AROSE)

Best Desk Moving Dolly I ever saw.
Went to pick up the trailer, as the Uhaul men were guiding my vehicle onto the transport trailer I kept asking "what is that sound?" They assured me it was just the weight on the trailer...well no the fuck it wasn't it was my side step getting gashed the entire length of it as it made contact with the wheel wells of the trailer. Then it's time to strap the tires down and someone had tampered with the driver side tire straps so they were too short. Now I'm waiting for them to replace the strap... They finally do and they strap my tire down. Once I drive off they call me 15 min later to inform me that none of them secured the safety chains. So now I have to pull over on the freeway and take care of that. I reached my destination 4 hours away to see that the driver side tire strap is just dangling. The Uhaul people didn't even secure it properly. I have rarely encountered such incompetence in a group of individuals as I have at that Uhaul location. I will no longer use or recommend Uhaul, in fact I will more than likely to everything I can to stop those I know from using them.
Dropping off the 20' truck took all of about 30 seconds: there was someone there waiting to take my contract info and keys, they checked the mileage and fuel and had me on my way FAST.
I`m only moving of my unit because we`re moving out of state.
Our service person was very efficient, friendly and knowledgeable. His estimates for mileage were spot on within a few miles and he explained how to use the gas used chart. I will defiant end come back to this site.

Everything was perfect and went smoothly from pick up to return. Excellent staff & service. Not a big deal, but the inside of the windshield needed to be cleaned. It was difficult to see when driving into sunshine.
Chris at this location was absolutely phenomenal! He was meticulous in his explanation of the contract and made sure were completely satisfied before leaving the lot. Customer service at it's finest!

You stuck me with an old worn out trailer with worn out tires that lunged on me the whole trip, but I would expect you to send that type of trailer on a one-way rental. The destination site is likely to retire the trailer.

Overall ok experience. Rates increased one week after my move in, 24hr access then was tacked on later as well, and billing sent out a million reminders per month. Otherwise, storage itself was fine.

Truck I rented was ancient. It stunk like gasoline inside the cab. That gave me a bad headache by the time I returned it, and every time I was at a stoplight it felt like it wanted to turn off on me. You would think that u haul would replace their trucks every couple of years. The equipment was a big disappointment.
You guy's got the system down. Awesome bunch of people. I have used this location several times. ALWAYS good service & trucks.
Tell the customer if they have to pick up their truck at a different location than they requested! This location was 45 minutes away from my house and the only reason I found out before I went to the wrong store was because I called and askedo a question!

Wanted to get an early start and requested an 8am pickup but was told they would not have my size cargo trailer coming in until 10am. I arrived 15 minutes early to find four sitting along the back of the building.
It rained the whole day, I had loaded my truck the night before. When I got to my new apt, my bed and everything else in the back of the truck was wet. There was a leak in the truck. Hopefully nothing was damaged.
I made an on-line reservation for a 6x12 Utility Trailer WITHOUT a ramp to be picked up at 2735 E Belt Line Rd, Carrollton, TX 75006. When I arrived to pick it up, I was told there were none available and that I would have to go back to Plano to pick one up. The counter people were great and they were surprised I was able to reserve it. It was very inconvenient to have to change pick up locations.

Trailer had a flat tire when I went to load.
Improve your standards for tread depth on auto transports. I noticed at pickup that 3 of the tires had good tread depth and one was on the marginal side in my opinion. It was that tire that separated itself on me during my trip, causing me a 3 and one half hour delay waiting on roadside assistance.
There was a storage container in front of trailer which made hook up difficult.
Equipment clean but steering seemed extremely loose and swayed a lot.
If we to the trouble of express check-in why not have a booth outside to check DL and CC then direct to hook-up. The whole idea is to get the vehicle and leave but if you have to go in and stand in line at an understaffed counter the "express check-in" doesn't buy you anything.
The dropping off itself was quick and easy, but it would've been nice if the staff member was a bit more friendly and told me what all had to be done (even if that means nothing) rather than me having to ask...
this place ran like a well oiled machine. quick and courteous. I have been used to the chaos of other locations and this was a welcomed surprise.

Staff was very efficient and I was in and out. Have rented previously and this was the quickest. However, I have enjoyed my previous rentals as well.
The trailer was extremely rusty and one of the ratchets was difficult to operate due to corrosion. The ramps were also difficult to operate, but the newer of the two did slide in and out much better than the one that was rusted through in places. Also, one of the rubber latches that secure the wheel fenders in place was missing. As an aircraft mechanic for a major carrier, I do realize that good maintenance doesn't always show itself to the users eye, but in the case of this trailer poor maintenance was clearly visible. I made my concerns aware to the drop off location in hopes that it will be cared for. I will say that the staff was very helpful and friendly and that says a lot in todays world.

Staff was available and helpful. The only thing that prevents me from giving an Excellent rating is the computer system. It took three tries to get my storage unit rental into the system.

Technician that hitched the trailer to my Tahoe did not connect the 3rd brake chain. He also did not make sure all chains had the rubber retainers on the hooks. One did not & was dangling free later on.
The horizontal bumper strip inside the trailer: One was ripped loose for 2 feet, rendering it useless for tie downs.
The door latch mechanism loosens in transit. It does not accommodate a security lock.
Terrible experience this time.
I always go here even when there is a truck or trailer assailable closer to home. I've used them for almost a decade and they have always been awesome.
There should have been more consideration of guidance for the uhaul customer service. If a customer is picking up stacks of boxes you should ask them if they need tape to put the boxes together. Moves are stressful, you are not thinking thoroughly and uhaul should have the mindfulness to remind a customer they need tape to put the boxes together. Second. There was no walk through of how to operate the tail gate of a truck. They should show you how to properly open and secure the Hand leverage. I understand it is a known common issue when you open the gate it snaps up and the hand lock isn't secured and gets stuck on the roof and you can't pull it closed after all the hard work to load the truck. Adding more stress to the move. We spent close to two hour waiting for assistance to get it unjammed wasting precious moving time. Very disappointed when I heard it was a common problem and we were not shown how to properly operate it upfront. A known and common issue should be courteously address with clients. What a waste of time that could have been avoided by a few minutes of good client service in both instances.

The staff was amazing. Two gentlemen helped me with my rental AFTER 7pm and stayed to make sure I got everything out of storage to my liking. They truly went above and beyond. Thanks guys!!
The first truck had brake problems, ABS light would not go out, and the truck had no break lights.
The second truck had a flat right rear tire.
Third truck rode very poorly, it felt as if was out of alignment, however, I ended up using it because I had reserved the services of 2 U-Haul movers and by now I had already lost the first hour of their services from just trying to find a truck that was functioning.

My experience with Uhaul on North Dallas Parkway was very good and overall. I would suggest that you make it plain that PROOF of renters insurance is required.
U-Haul fulfilled my needs superbly. I am very pleased with the condition of my items.
I had to pay a whole months rent for March although I moved my items in the 5th. Rip off. Rent should have been prorated.
The hours of operation were just adequate. It would be nicer to have later hours. The key card system they use is very difficult to use after hours.

The narrow aisles/hallways make it very difficult to maneuver large items like couches and mattresses into the storage units. A little more room would make it much easier on your customers!

The online reservation for the self-storage should make it clear that we need to bring insurance and contact information when we come in to lease the store room.

the inside of the corgo box smelled like insecticide. it was a very strong odor, kind of make you sick if you were around it too much.

I was surprised by how nice the facility was. I like that there is an elevator and the pathways are extremely wide.

I would only recommend someone to rent trucks or equipment but would not recommend the storage services.
When they saw there was a line of customers waiting other staff members would jump on registers to help give fast service instead of making us all wait longer.
I had a good experience for the 2 years I had a unit here.
The air-conditioned storage building was quite clean, excellent lighting, polished floors and a large convenient elevator.

josh was rude. He drove very dangerously around the lot with uhaul vehicles. He used profane language around us and referred to our belongings as shit in his way. The two people inside were nice.
i turned in a u-haul truck from San Antonio, Tx and I need the license tag number to pay tolls on. Please provide me. The truck has AZ tags. thanks

The main issue I had was with parking. There are way too many UHAULs in your lot, and sometimes you`ll park them up on the loading dock when they aren`t being used.
only complaint: you advertise 24 hour access and when we went to get in access was denied. seems you have to pay extra for that--just should let people know that

I was not told I could not have 24 access to my unit.It wasn`t until I had all of my belongings that I found out.Customer Service couldn`t help me at all either.It was the worst experience ever!

Worst storage experience ever. I moved my things out of there just to put them in another storage facility. The amout I was paying was ludicrous for the terrible service.

Staff was rude/inconvenienced There was yellow powder all over my things they were going to check but no one came as I waited for an hour I had to leave the issue is unresolved keycard never works
The way you have to login, logout after hours is a pain when you have to make several trips.
No major comments to add, the process to rent the storage was very easy, facilities are clean, average prices.
Though I would deactivate the alarm upon entry, an alarm would sound about 50% of the time I accessed my storage unit. The facility is clean.

The alarm system on my unit would go off even when I turned it off on the card swipe before entering. I brought this up numerous times to the staff and the issue was never resolved.

The truck was a bit difficult to drive, espcially with the right side mirror moving but all in all it was an all right experience.

I came in purchased a 10x10 room. I get up there and its HOT! In climate control? The tempature gage reads 93 degrees. It was hotter in climate control then downstairs where people dont pay extra.

My only compliant is that they made you purchase some cheap Chinese made lock for the storage unit. The lock, unfortunately, was a piece of S_ _ T!

The General Manager Jerry is amazing. He took excellent care of us... provided us with all of the information we needed and got us into a unit right away. I will reccomend Jerry`s Uhaul in the future.

Always under staffed. And there seems to be lack of training for most employees. Only one person can actually help you if you have problems with anything related to your rental agreements for storage
