Make sure that the trucks you rent are in good working condition. Mine was not, broke down and had to be towed to the final destination.
Your online reservation process is missing a critical step when using a smart phone. I tried to reserve a trailer using my Android-based phone. There was nothing available to select how long I wanted to rent the trailer - just a section that told me the average move with a 6x12 trailer took 6 hours. I tried to select it, even went back and re-did the reservation, but to no avail. Finally, I tried to amend the reservation once I made it, but it wouldn't move forward after I found the section for adding duration to the rental. If it wasn't for Jim at the Binghamton store, I'd have been forced to go get a different trailer rental elsewhere. Thanks a bunch Jim! You and your crew at Binghamton are the greatest!

Mike was a great help to us.
I rented a motorcycle trailer. I was in and out very quickly at rental and return. Both guys working there helped me and both were very helpful. I was worried as I was on a tight schedule on the getting ion and out, but it was easy and the trailer worked great; very nice design.
The only problem was ice inside the truck on the walls.
At this point I will never recommended uhaul to any one after all the run aroud I have got from you never again it's not the location it's corporate that has failed
Gas tank was a bit less than half full for a planned 200 mile trip. It would have been nice to have a full tank of gas to start so we did not have to look for a gas station so early in the trip.
The truck broke down twice with a dead battery and a full load. I called road side only to be put on hold for a 1/2 hour each time we broke down.
Great/flexable staff. Will use uhal again in the future!

of cancer stick smoke !! with 5,000 miles on it! I CLEANED IT OUT ! still reaked ! should not have to do that I reserved it three days ahead !

I have one phone and number. I had to give them a friends number which has no relation to me renting a tow dolly from them. Seems stupid to me.

The people that are in this location exceeded all my expectations. In my life I have never been treated better anywhere. You are very lucky to have employees like this, you should be proud of these people as they really care about your customers.
I was informed by an employee that I had an outstanding balance. I was instructed to call an 800 number and read off a code to a women that was not willing to help me much at all. Apperently uhaul feels that I stole a hand cart and demanded that I pay an outrageous about of money. I was faulsly accused of theft from haul and as a result I will never do business with any uhaul again. Go penske

The truck the cab and cabin smelled awful of smoke and seal on the dolly was already broken and they charged me and we never used it.

Mike and Sandra provided excellent costumer and made the rental process enjoyable.
Equipment was not maintained. Took 2 hours to fix car carrier lights before I could start my trip. Later during my trip, car carrier had a rear axle slip which caused back tire to disintegrate. I was left on a major highway for 6+ hours while waiting for tire tech and tow truck. I was charged $75 to have MY car towed! I was told a motel room would be paid for by U-Haul but when I arrived they knew nothing about it and I had to pay for my room. I had planned to be at my daughter's home for Christmas but due to all of the hassles I was not there. I am still upset by my experience.
Everything was great. You had the truck I needed and it was in great shape. Both employees who served me were excellent!
There should be a disclaimer when you first "reserve" a truck online. I did not get the size truck I had reserved. Also the price kept going up. $137 to drive a 10 foot truck 45 miles is very pricey.
Nothing, excellent service
The experience was excellent.
The electrical connection was unreliable - my dashboard sometimes reporting a bulb failure in the trailer, and sometimes not. Trailer was otherwise fine, though there was no handle on the door to help with lifting (only the strap)
We had just one large item left to move into the Uboxes we rented for our move so, rather than hunt down a friend with a truck, we decided to use a pickup from Uhaul. While I was on the phone with the Uhaul location placing the order, my husband was on his way to pick up the truck. I can't say enough good things and ALL the folks at the Chenego St. Uhaul. They have been, professional, friendly, and helpful. Since we chose to load our Uboxes at the Uhaul Center, the staff has seen a lot of us over the last 2 weeks, and EVERYTIME someone there addressed me by my name and made sure I was making out ok. Jim, the manager, is a pleasure to do business with and he has assembled an EXCELLENT staff tha the can certainly be proud of. Kudos Binghamton, NY Uhaul Center!

this is the second time i've picked a van up and the previous renter was a smoker...Moving forward, I will probably rent from a company that has a no smoking policy.
Did online reservation (and drivers info). When I went to pick up truck, all information was there. The service people were great to work with. I will use this location again.
The key did not work in the driver side door.
I wish I could add on to the wonderful experience we had with U-haul. Locked keys in truck, had to pay for a new one, although Jim the manager came right down to sign off so we were delayed only about an hour. I might recommend two sets of keys at the locations in the event it should happen again to some one. If the truck or vehicle is one way, give the customer both sets, if local just one set. Seems practical to me. Over all my choice for rental will be U-haul. Thank you
Keep doing what you are doing, it seems to be effective and efficient. The price is right and the employees are knowledgeable and easy to work with.I have used this site before and will again, the best praise that can be given.
They fouled up every aspect of this rental. They couldn't ever agree on the answers to our simple questions. Every different person we spoke to contradicted the instructions of their co-workers. Calls not answered by the location roll to a call center where the people are even more clueless, useless and indifferent.
The service has always been excellent here. I've used it about 5 times. I found a small hole in the roof of the truck before I left. I went to another local location to repair but they had no aluminum tape. Jim from this location drove over to this other location, got on the roof, and repaired it.(It rained quite heavily the first and last day of my trip) I highly recommend this location.
Have rented 2X in the last few weeks; found the equipment exceptional.

I was asked if I wanted to rent the hand truck/dolly and moving pads. I said No, thank you. I get the 17' truck home (wanted a 20' or larger one, but the 17' was the only one left - so they knew I needed the larger one) and find out that the hand truck/dolly and pads are secured inside - taking up needed valuable space. When I called to tell them that I told them at pick-up that I did not want those items, I was told that keeping them on the truck is standard and if I unsecure them, I would be charged $10. I argued the point, and eventually, they relented. #1 The customer should be informed prior to leaving that those items are stored in the truck. #2 The customer should be given the option of having them removed from the truck. #3 I should not have had to call and argue the point. Then, when I returned the truck, the trip odometer clicked to 68.5 miles as I pulled into the driveway entrance. I stopped the truck about 10 yards right in front of the door. The odometer still read 68.5. The attendant came out, went through the paperwork, noted that I had unsecured the hand truck/dolly, to which I had to remind her that I had called earlier and was given permission to unsecure it. Then she checked the odometer and re-set it. Then, she reviewed the charges, stating that the mileage was 68.7 miles. I argued that it was not 68.7, but was 68.5. But, because she re-set the trip odometer, I could not prove it. Granted it was only two-tenths of a mile, or 20 cents, but it is dishonest and not right. I am not pleased with this rental and will look elsewhere whenever possible if I ever need to rent an U-Haul truck.
Fast and Easy but limited inventory…. I rented a 10’ box truck and it was easy to make the reservation online the same day as pick up. The staff pulled the truck up and I was in and out in less than 5 minutes. The only problem I had was that I could not keep the truck the full 24 hours like I wanted because it was already rented the next morning but I still had to pay the 24 hour price. Talking with the guy behind the counter they sell out every weekend (they should increase their inventory if this happens every time). Bottom line rent early if you want move something over the weekend.

I called with a last minute request for a small vehicle (truck). There was availability; app't was made and I was taken care of as soon as I arrived. Service was as quick and professional when vehicle was returned. My experience was painless and I appreciate that. Thank you.

Wanted a 6x12 trailer they did not have one but they gave me a 5x10 worked out fine
Understaffed with only one person. It took 30 minutes to pick up a reserved truck with only one customer ahead of me. Contrast that with under 5 minutes to pick up a reserved truck at my regular rental place, Ryder. Also, I was overcharged for 1/10th of a mile. 16 cents. No big deal, I don't need it refunded.
The vehicles could be checked over a little better other then that fine.
This location is not particularly the best, possibly due to the location, but overall staff is usually very courteous. The location needs some sort of expansion, it is very small. Possibly facilities need to be updated? The newer policy regarding renting on weekend days (i.e Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.), needs to be noted to customers on website when customers are renting. This will ensure customers don't have false expectations.
I was very, very pleased. I have used other storage facilities in the area before, but this is the best. I am moving items from your competitors to this location this week. Great Job.

Uhaul employees are excellent, although some policies and procedures ex, weekend renting does not include 24hour, although not noted do not reflect the needs of the customer.

I FEEL SAFER BECAUSE OF THE CARDS! VERY WELL LIGHTED, VERY CLEAN, I LOVE THE USE OF THE CAMERAS.THE ELEVATOR IS A LITTLE SCARY BECAUSE OF THE SQUEAKING. I WILL COME AGAIN.

Customer service was excellent, entrance to facility was secure, carts were available for moving within facility, possibly a little more maintenance on facility. Overall good experience.
There was no lighting in the unit which made it hard to see things. The hallway light was not enough.
The staff was exceptional knowledgeable, friendly, and gave good advice. The actual storage units are average but not excellent or exceptional.

U Haul of Binghamton was very good to deal with. James and Sandra were very polite, I will choose them again and recommend them without hesitation.
The staff/friendly professional. The rates are too high for the type of facility it is. Convenience is the only plus that would make me recommend this.
The units are in a very old office building, so the tile on the floors and the hallway floors are `beaten up`. And, some of the walls are pretty banged up. But, it seemed clean.

Elevator could use some updating
A leak of unknown fluids through the ceiling ruined some of our stored household goods. Also, correcting billing errors consumed too much of my time.
Eric and his staff are really the best U-Haul staff that I have encountered. Very helpful.

rented a fourth floor unit and was talked into moving to the 1st floor. a week later the unit flooded. Insurance is giving me the run around about my claim. Worst experience ever.
The Customer service was very poor, because the staff didn`t provide all the information I needed and messed up my order.

I had a problem with locking and unlocking my unit because the door is broken and an employee was not helpful to me regarding this.

For an old building, it was maintained.
I would recommend updating the elevator, making it wider if possible. That was the only downside of the experience.

Manager was rude. My 24 hour access was denied every time I attempted to enter after hours. My card had to be reprogrammed at least 4 times. My unit had NO LIGHTING. Very dirty!

My antique furniture was stored there for 26 mos.I was surprised to find that when I moved out the furniture it was DUST FREE. Nice Job UHaul!
From when I first rented the unit to when I stopped the place made a lot of improvements. Keep it up.
Could use better lighting in hallway on fourth floor, tile broken up around elevator. Everything else OK. Access to a bathroom greatly appreciated.

The facility was clean and dry!, easy to access when I needed it and the staff was very helpful. I especially appreciated having a unit that was inside and on the second floor.

The building is old and has an odor when you go into the office area and they were short on staff. Overall it was fine for our use but I would probably tell a friend to find something nicer.

Overall, I found the level of customer service to be unsatisfactory at best and would definitely not recommend this facility or this company for storage to anyone.

The staff is very friendly and accomodating. For small items, this location is ok, but elevator makes large items impossible to store here.
Small elevator, shouldn`t be considered a freight elevator.Selected alternate storage location. Restricted access wasn`t acceptable. 24/7 keyed access was preferred.

The facility is in an old building and doesn`t inspire confidence. A door to the exterior parking lot seems damaged and less than secure. Otherwise, it seems adequate for our needs.

The facility appearance has improved, epecially the hallway lighting, recently. The staff always treated me well, but were always tired, unkept. Now there`s a new Mgr. and thimgs seem better. Tnx, ABJ

The office team was very helpful. I disagree with the policy of reserving units that are not available. We reserved a small unit, arrived and there were none. What good is a reservation?
Some of the storage rooms were smaller than advertised, and no one informed me when I called before coming that I would have to put a lock on the door that day.
The lights in the corridor where my storage is were not working. They over charged me and couldn`t figure out why. It took 2 hours to rent storage.
