The truck overheated and the emergency brake light came on. We were finished with our moving chores except we couldn't drop off the stuff to charity that we wanted because the truck was malfunctioning. It wasn't feasible to call road service so we just offloaded at home and dropped the truck off. Maybe better maintenance?

Kaeanna PiloWe originally went to the Burien U-Haul earlier in the morning to see if there were any trucks available and the employee had told us that there were no trucks available for rent that day as they were all reserved and told us to call and check another location without even checking his computer. We then went to the Duwamish location and the truck we got died on us before we got out of the parking lot but this was at no fault of the staff that helped us we understand mechanical issues happen. The staff at the Duwamish location were professional and helpful and offered to find us another truck at another location as they didn't have any others available. The assistant manager of the Duwamish location came back and told us he had been able to find a truck available at Burien and he had reserved it for us. We told him that was the first place we had gone to and that they had told us they didn't have anything available. We then left and on our way back to the Burien location I'm assuming the assistant manager of Duwamish called the Burien location to find out why we had just been told nothing was available maybe an hour earlier. When we did arrive back at the Burien U-Haul the two staff members there were acting annoyed with us and asked if we had told the other location that we said they didn't have anything and then tried denying we had even been in earlier that morning when it was the same two staff members. They were then talking to us like we did something wrong and just getting them in trouble and didn't come out to assist with us getting the truck ready to leave and instead stayed inside on their phones.

The people who work there are friendly, responsive, and flexible., There was a dent on one of the vans I rented, and I hadn't marked it in the pre-inspection, but the customer representative said it was already known. That means the staff is paying attention to their equipment. I've rented there twice, and everything went smooth as silk. Highly recommend.

The whole crew Carlos, Keenan, Eli, Jesse, Seth all make the rental process seamless. I’m always greeted with a smile and the equivalent always is clean and in good working order. These guys care and I’m always so impressed. By far the best U-Haul in Washington…!!

I rented a truck and a tow dolly I went and picked the truck up at Burien location and the tow dolly at tukwila location hooked everything up and the lights on the dolly didn't work there was only one employee at this location so I had to wait for 30 minutes to get that sorted out. The person working in there tried to get me a trailer so we hooked up the trailer and the same happened the lights didn't work by this point is already past an hour and half someone from u haul called me saying that they will get me another trailer but I have to drive about 20 minutes the opposite direction to get it by this point I have already lost my appointment so decided to go and return the truck so I ended up paying 20 dollars on gas and 60 dollars for the truck rental just wasted 80; dollars

No. I had to take a picture of the driver (my husband), a picture of his ID that I had already provided the info from, and THEN contact info for 2 people to be verified. Nonsense. I ended up going into the office and sorting out the pickup. I’ll never try your phone option again.

The staff was able to accommodate my request for a smaller trailer once I had arrived and once I completed registration inside the store, the they quickly mounted it on my van. When I dropped it off, they took a picture of the trailer, completed the return process, and I was off within five minutes.

I visited the location a few times for my storage, and one of my employees is annoyingly incompetent. The main office was being renovated, so a bunch of customers were standing outside, and the incompetent employee walked by us a couple of times and never let us know we had to check-in at the garage, which would've saved the customers several minutes of waiting for nothing. To the employee's credit, how can you expect more out of him when his own management can't even make signs to tell customers where to go. Secondly, when I got unit 337, I saw that the vent had been ripped off with a screwdriver so that some junky could reach their hand in to grab stuff to steal and pawn for heroin. I was assured that the location's management would patch the vent up so that my storage unit would be secure. After storing my belongings at this location for almost two months, management never patched up the vent. Luckily, nothing was stolen.

They had no idea how to handle an upset customer (me) when I came in after my unit had been broken into. They need more support there. All they did was look uncomfortable and shrug their shoulders.Whoever the woman was that proactively reached out to me and finalized my move out was especially helpful the past few times I was there. I wish I knew her name. As far as the facilities, they are are dirty and stinky and messy. I wished we had moved out sooner.
