Absolutely awful and i'm going to be requesting a refund. I transported a motorcycle and over the phone. they told me they could help me strap it down and that they would help me put a tarp over it. They had no idea how to put down the straps and they suggested that I pay the mexicans standing on the sidewalk infront of the facility to do it for me. They told me that one of the mexicans would do it for twenty dollars. I was in a hurry as I needed to get back home. So I spent in additional $20. Paying some random stranger because the facility lied to me and had no idea what they were doing. They told me that the straps which I purchased from that location would one hundred percent hold the bike down. After 3 hours of driving, I thankfully stopped for gas. One strap was fraying and the other one was broken. Because of their lack of knowledge and experience, they almost ruined a twenty five thousand dollar harley davidson. Then I had to go and buy stronger straps from an auto shop down the street from the gas station. Wasting more of my time and money. As if the situation couldn't have gotten any worse a few hours after that, the bunji chords that they sold me and said were strong enough to hold down the tarp broke. The bungee corps then scratched up my chrome and my paint on my brand new bike. I then had to buy new budgie chords again. Wasting more of my time and money. A few hours later the tarp completely ripped add flew off the back. Not only was it pouring rain in the location that I was driving through. But they could have killed somebody with their negligence and lack of knowledge if the tarp hard landed on someone's windshield behind me. My money was wasted on the tarp that I bought from that location as it did not hold. My money was wasted on the bungee cords that I bought from that location and then wasted again when I had to buy new bungie chords that were actually stronge enough to hold the tarp. But that did not solve the problem because the tarp ripped and the flu off the back of you're trailer, The tarp that they told me would hold. I wasted my money on the straps that I bought from this uhaul location and then wasted more money needing to buy new ones. Now I'll be wasting more money fixing my paint and my chrome that is completely scratched up, again due to their lack of knowledge in negligence and missleading me over the phone. Now they have cost me way more money than that trip I paid for would including the equipment that broke that I purchased from their location. Not to mention the amount of money that i'm going to have to pay to fix expensive chrome and expensive paint job on a custom harley that I just bought. An absolutely discussed with the service. I don't know how that location is even still in business. I will be emailing corporate, customer service, district managers Add anyone with authority. I request a complete refund of everything that this has cost me. I will then email the receipt for the body work on the bike once that is complete as their negligence caused it. Email me as soon as this is read NEGITIVE one hundred as a review on this location. God awful experience.

Honestly it was great. no problems except with the manager. The manager wouldn't allow me to leave my bicycle outside chained up. I rode my bike there to rent the truck and was coming back in 3 hours just needed to pick up some furniture. Instead, I had to drive home drop my bike before continuing on with my plan. I couldn't pick up my furniture that day, had to take off half the next day from work to not get charged for a second day on the rental. It was just really shitty. I asked if I could, and without hearing me out as to why, just said no without budging. I'll definitely tell anyone who asks to not go to that location.

The truck I had was very filthy . I feel that I am being rushed for me to get out. And watch up with doing the inspection on my phone? I know we have to advance for the short as possible to do business. I noticed that the price of the rental so I expect a better service What happened to the personal touch of the agent? I reserved two weeks in advance and still the equipment wasn’t at the location I requested. The day before I was told I’d have to drive 45 minutes away to another location. This has happened twice now. What’s the purpose of reserving so far in advance if I’m still going to be inconvenienced to pick it up?

Customer service at the pick up location was subpar (Costa Mesa). The example/process/explanation/graph they give you about the refueling was confusing and I overspent on refueling when I dropped it off in Scottsdale. Not to mention that the U-Haul representative in Costa Mesa was short in fully explaining/just breezed over paperwork and explanation of how to gauge the fuel reading. When I asked follow-up questions to get a full understanding, it was breezed over and it seemed like it was an inconvenience that I asked. I spent an extra $45, than was required when I refueled before dropping it off. I picked up the U-Haul just under 190 miles to empty, and by following the directions from Costa Mesa, I returned it with 245 miles until empty. Drop off location was great. (Scottsdale) Also- I have received about 4 phone calls, 3 emails and multiple texts about getting storage, but it’s annoying. I was in the middle of my move today and I get another call about needing storage.- I know upselling is part of the process, but even if I needed storage I would not go with U-Haul, due to the barrage of calls, texts, and emails. If possible, I’d like to receive a call from someone to discuss further and provide more information to better explain my experience. I have used U-Haul for many moves, but this will be my last. The return process was not easy. The mobile app would not work. I requested the authentication code like 10 times and could never get it to work. The location told me that if we didn't use the app to return the truck after hours, we would be charged $10. I hope that is not the case as the app never worked to return.

I was very pleased with my UHaul experience despite a setback on my move with the trailer rental. For background, I blew out a tire on the trailer mid-way through my 1000 mile travel, that caused delays in my plans and move. There was discrepancy on whether the emergency tire replacement that I conducted at a local tire shop was covered under insurance as I did not use UHaul's road side assistance due to the time constraints of my trip and my assumption that it would have been covered under insurance. In the end, I had put in a request to re-review the claim. It was very professionally handled and I was pleased with the outcome. My plans got a little sidetracked due to the blown out trailer tire, but due to how my customer experience was handled througout my entire move planning and more importantly to me how my claim was handled, I will recommend UHaul in the future and will work with UHaul again as needed. Thank you.

Don’t ask for me to provide my friends or family personal phone number and first and last name as a reference to rent a van. Totally inappropriate and stupid. Does nothing to deter theft of a vehicle. All I have to do is get a buddy to vouch for me and voila. That’s all a thief would have to do if he planned on stealing your van. But you want me to call and wake up friends and family in the morning to verify me. GTFOH

There was a crack in the section where the mileage was showing. I mentioned at the Newport location and the check engine light came on when the truck was in Corona CA . I called and was told it was the gas cap and safe to drive so we kept going. Noticed a little play in steering that you may want to check. We arrived safelt and returned truck a day early with a full tank.
