Setting up the Utility Trailer on my hitch was helpful, however, it probably would have made more sense to teach me how to do it, rather than just do it. That would have been even more helpful since I had to remove it during my trip and then put it back on. Wasn't as simple as it looked regarding chains, clips, and the connecting nut on the hitch, etc. Otherwise - everyone was great.
The trailor had some problems . when I called the store.I spoke with Jason. He came to my parking jot and fixed them He was very courteous

Your computer system (network) seems to be obsolete as it takes for ever for clerk to process customer. I had booked my truck before i went to your location in Plano, TX. It took 55' to get out of the place.
It is not location where the problem is.
Customer service representative at checkout was slow and not as knowledgeable as he should have been. Equipment was new and clean, and only downside to this experience was the initial checkout process.
Train your employees to repair your equipment. I was delayed 2 hours in picking up a trailer because he couldn't diagnose a simple problem and repair it and still had a broken tail light.
To make sure you recieve what you ordered.
I paid for and ordered a 12 foot trailer and only recieved a 10 ft trailer.
The manager said that was the biggest one he had.
But paid full price for a 12 ft.
Computers were extremely slow and delayed the pick up process.
Wait time to return the truck was almost an hour!
Everything was great except waited a long time there were only 2 clercks and ten people in line.
Stay open later than 5 pm on Sunday. If a customer returns a vehicle while you (uhaul) are still at the office - process them. Do not make them wait until the next day.
After a mixup and not having my truck available where I had originally planned to pickup, the guys at Los Rios were great and made sure that my experience was a good one.
This team was great. I was a bit late showing up, causing them to have to stay a little late but they were just as friendly and considerate as they could be about it. They had my trailer hooked up and ready to go in no time. I really appreciate the all night drop off. It was very convenient. In the past, I have kinda felt ripped off by Uhaul with the $19 printed all over the place but then end up paying upwards of $150 in the end but I did not have that experience here. I will definitely be returning for future needs. The only complaint I had was attempting to remove the trailer from my vehicle when I dropped it off. The girl in the video made it seem so easy but I had to have my husband come up there and rescue me as I could not get the hitch to release from the ball. After some experimentation, we were able to get it off and were on our way. Thanks guys.
Cardreaded needs some improvement. It is better with only one reader, second reader to open door was a PAIN in the ---.
The staff is great. The problem was the "fight" for booking a truck rental. I dropped by the Central Expressway location (between Parker & Spring Creek in Plano TX) to check out trucks. The lady there said she didn't have any 20' truck, but saw online that another location (at Los Rios) had 3. And two out of those 3 were available. So she wanted to do the booking for me. I felt pressured during my conversation w/ her to let her do the booking even though I expressed few times during the conversation that I'd prefer to drop by Los Rios location myself to do the actual booking. I felt pressured & so she did the booking. The next day when my husband showed up at the Los Rios Location to pick up the 20' truck, the guy there claimed that there was no 20' available (for local). So we had to deal with a 26' which we were very uncomfortable. It added a lot more stress to the move. There seemed to be a lot of competition for booking among the U-Haul staff. I noticed this during phone calls even before any actual site visits to UHaul stores. Thank you. Otherwise the staff was great at the Los Rios location, esp. during previous visits (before the actual date of truck pickup).

The truck that we rented had less gas than what the representative told us; I had to fill up more than what I even used because of that.
The staff were very helpful, and answered all my questions. I will definitely use again.
I have rent 2 trailers from this location over the last 2 months. Each time is was great with no issues. This time upon return of the trailer, I was informed by the attendant that I had to fold the furniture blankets or he was going to charge $1 per blanket. This was never mentioned before on my previous 2 rentals and it was apparent on a Saturday evening that this guy did not want to work hard. If in fact this is something new, as he stated, than you need to notify the renters to not only return the trailer clean, but to also fold the blankets. Its a cheap and tacky tactic on your customers. I will not be renting from you again.

Truck battery died not once but twice. Road side assistance was required due to dead battery and then once returned to location the battery died again. There is an alternator problem!

Treat customers right. My experience wasn't pleasant at all because l was taken for a ride by being charged extensively over what my final bill was supposed to reflect. That left me very upset and an unhappy customer. I will certainly make this information privy to my friends, family members, colleagues and associates in the surrounding area.

This location is exactly the experience a customer is looking for. Convienent, clean, specific directions and areas identified to return. Greeted on drive up, even though it was a cold rain ahead of an ice storm. Helpful personnel and attentive to the four + customers in the store, with four clerks smiling and friendly. Just the opposite of the initial impression in Denver.

When we were there several customers were there to pick up or drop off and there was only one lady working the desk and one guy taking care of the trailers!! They did a good job but there should have been more help there. Had to wait to long,

First time using uhaul services, I have had some frustrating issues with uhaul, however the GM and his staff at this location were, helpful and knowledgeable I did not want to argue.
1. Trailer had a light out on pickup. Had to wait for it to be repaired. There were 3 other 6x12 trailers there, wondered why I couldn't have just swapped it.
2. While driving, trailer lights went out repeatedly. Traced problem back to trailer wiring. Probably a frayed wire or loose connector. Had to stop several times to jiggle wires to get lights back on. Reported on turnin.
For late drop off, it could use additional lighting, as it seemed a bit unsafe. Convenient location.
Great drop-off experience. Pulled into the lane and as soon as I stopped, the employee unhitched the trailer. As I was getting the paperwork out, he came to the window, checked it out and thanked me. Didn't even have to get out of the car. Great experience. Glad I rented from U-Haul.

We had to pick up at a different location than what I asked for, so you might tell your scheduling people to let customers know they have to use an alternative location.

Several issues at pick up.
Gas gauge did not work. Ran out of gas. Told the person when I dropped it off and he just shrugged his shoulders. Was charged over $100 more for a smaller truck and less mileage than another location two weeks ago. What happened to best price guarantee? Will never go back to this location and maybe not any. Maybe Ryder will appreciate the $300-$500 I spend every other week.
They didn't have the truck size, so the up graded. They let us know ahead of time. Unlike the Plano on 75 location. This is why we chose a different location because they didn't give us the right size truck from the location, last time.
Better training of office personnel. My coordinator appeared to be a rookie.
Customer Service Representative was very helpful in verifying that we were all set and ready to go.
Pick up went by really smoothly but dropping it off did not go as smoothly.

Large storage door no longer works after hours. Difficult to move large equipment in/out through small door.
Minimal effort expended to prevent returning trucks/trailers from blocking the LOADING ZONE. Last night, two large trucks blocked the loading zone, requiring me to cart equipment across the parking lot back into my storage unit.

This U-Haul facility tops the charts: Excellent staff, superb storage facility, easy access.
The facility worked much better than I anticipated. Hours were somewhat limiting but I adjusted.
At some point in the past, U-Haul had placed a second lock on our storage unit, but could not locate the key. The manager Kristopher went to great lengths to rectify the situation.
We`ll staffed, well trained, nice facilities and great security.

Although this was a well maintained facility, the heat in the smaller units was unacceptable! I had to be moved into a unit that was too large. I was promised a call from management, which never came!

The only thing detracting from a 100% satisfaction is the lack of 24-hour access to my storage locker. Otherwise, I was completely satisfied.
My only problem were the access hours. There were a number of times I would l have liked access in the evenings. Getting home late from work prevented me from accessing my storage room.
The manager is great and I would still be at facility if I wasn`t relocating.
They will do whatever it takes to make sure you are getting what you need. Very helpful and considerate.

After hours access never worked. I had to call the GM who took more than an hour to get it working, however I had already left by then. I paid $200 to movers and $10 extra for after hours access.

Staff here is completely incompetent. The GM had to step in to ensure my paperwork was actually in order, had to give staff my new address about 8 times.
The pipe railing at the edge of the dock should be removed so that it is easier to roll items onto a truck.

Staff very unfriendly and uncooperative. Keypad entry system is unclear and confusing. If building is secure why do I have to by your lock when I already have one?
The UHaul registration process is very frustrating and lengthy. It is ridiculous to have to provide so many phone numbers and addresses.

Per website a 10x15 unit was available. Reserved the 10x15. Upon arrival only 3-10x5s were available. Knowing the 10x15 was unavailable would have been helpful - I’m moving my whole apt into the unit.

Only reason I would not recommend is because you have to pay extra for 24/7 access, Which does not have an extra cost for uhaul.

Key cards hardly ever worked.My 6 year old son got locked in the facility because the doors stopped working for about 10 minutes.Numerous times the doors flat out wouldn`t work.

The U-Haul policy on rent due notification is to call you 3 days AFTER the rent was due, making sure you have incurred a late fee. Try Public Storage, they call you before it is due.

My experience with U-Haul spans back to 2005 when I relocated under my own power to Dallas from Louisiana. The entire time I was more than happy with U-Haul.
This is my second time that I use your services and both times had been very pleasant and if I need to in the future I will use them again

The facilty is wonderful, the employee that helped me was not very friendly and was pretty rude to all of the customers that were there at that time.
my online confirmation said I had 1 month free they didn`t believe me. I showed the confirmation that said $0 due. I had to access uhaul.com to show it said online special 1 month free.

The rates should reflect short and long term rates.A lower PIA long term rate would help warrant hundreds of dollars of storage fees per year. Facilities and service were very good.

The Los Rios UHaul location in Plano, Tx has an excellent staff and facility. They might need a few more employees during peek hours though--they get very busy
Major Problems. The 200 character limit is not enough room to document the issues.
If the wiring on a trailer is questionable ... don`t put it back in service with magnetic tow lights and duct tape. It looks tacky and causes a potential trip hazard to those actually using it.
I think that it is very good, even though the person that is not the manager could be more helpful
I don`t like using one keypad to check in and out and another to gain access but otherwise a great facility.
I only have access to the facility until 7pm -- I needed help unloading my truck, and most people could not be there until around 7 pm because of commuting and dinner, etc.
My reservation confirmation showed access hrs to be 24/7, no extra charge. When I got there I was informed there is an extra fee. A bit of a disappointment, and it caused me to change my plans.
This facility is secure, but easy to access as a member. I love the keyless, code entry feature. It was also very clean.
I always feel safe and secure when accessing your facility. It`s always well maintained and very freindly/helpful staff. The convenience of having the carts and drive up to dock is highly useful!!
