I requested a small cargo van but the manager gave me the wider Ford van. I am so happy he did that! It was perfect for the furniture we hauled. Plus, the ride was smooth, comfortable, and the van was easy handling. Thank you so very much!!

The Store looked good but the van itself needed a good clean up - dog hair on the seats, the windows inside (and Out) were very dirty and had to be cleaned by us for good visual ability. The guys were really nice and helpful.

Another location totally failed and had to cancel the reservation. Great guys at Kasold location hooked me up with truck in less than 30 minutes. Huge lifesavers!

Great experience - I never touched the trailer at either location. It was hooked up and unhooked by an experienced attendant. I loaded my towed vehicle and never had an issue the whole trip.

I feel like the whole fill up the gas tank ordeal was a bit over the top. Supposedly the vehicle's gas tank was "full". I only drove it for about 12 miles. Now if I'm correct, that vehicle gets about 17 miles per gallon. Why was it that I had to pay close to $15 dollars if the vehicle's gas tank was already full. Plus being charged an inconvenience fee of $5 a gallon for not filling it up is ridiculous as well. Gas is about $2.78 a gallon... I know damn well I didn't burn through 5 gallons of gas just hauling stuff down the street and back.. Just be weary of them telling you how much gas they put in there to be "full". This is the reason why I would not give them 5 stars.

The car hauler was still dirty, understandably due the weather we had. Big issue was the strap ratchets did not work due to being dirty and needing lubrication. This should be checked before letting customer leave with equipment. I will certainly check and not assume they work if I rent again. Otherwise, no issues. Staff was courteous.

The interior of the vehicle was not very clean. Muddy footprints in cab and in the box. Not a problem, however. Reservation process was a breeze online and once I arrived. Return was effortless.

Thank you to the wonderful staff at this location. The truck was ready and warm because they took the time to have the heat running. Everything was explained to me and went smoothly. In edition to knowing what needed to be done, all three workers were super nice and a pleasure to work with. Moving is stressful and they made this part very stress free. Thank you!

This was NOT the original dropoff location, but they sent me to this location. In fact, had I been thinking when I rented the trailer, I would have asked for this location as my final destination, as I was unfamiliar with the site I was supposed to drop the trailer at. They said that the other place regularly sends people there to drop trailers and they handled the return efficiently, saying that they would deal with the change of location between the two sites. I would recommend making the Kasold Dr. location the preferred site for the Lawrence, KS area.

Your mobile app needs a severe overhaul. I won;'t waste your time with my thoughts about how bad it is. But, I will tell you that using my Sonimtech XP8800 with Android ver. 10, it took 4 - 5 minutes to get from the "return my truck" screen to the GPA-enabled "verify your at the right location" screen. I had to refresh that "verify location" screen 3 times from the Uhaul location parking lot (about 20' from the building itself) before it finally let me proceed. On the next screen, it took about 6 - 8 minutes to load. I gave up multiple times after only 3 - 5 minutes, and tried restarting the App, and rebooted my phone once. After giving it the 6-8 minutes is needed to move to on, I was able to photograph the odometer and gas gauge, but then the App hung on the upload (TMobile 4G cell service with 5 bars, thanks to the nearby cell tower mounted on the City water tower 300 yards west of this UHaul location). I see that others have had issues on the upload of the odometer/gas photo because your App does allow one to proceed-- even if the upload didn't seem to go through. I suggest a web-based check-in process to help give your customers more options to successfully check in their rental trucks. Having to use the App isn't time or cost effective to those who don;t have unlimited data (although I do have unlimited data). There was another person in the lot returning their vehicle and as I saw him put his keys in the slot, I hopped out to begin taking my own (personal) C.Y.A. pictures of my truck because I wasn't confident that the App was working properly. It was -6 degrees outside, so the other person and I just had a quick exchange about how awful the App was and he said "yeah, I just gave up and threw my keys in the box. Sick of dealing with it!" I see by me receipt that I was not overcharged and that all seems to be well. Obvi, I'm not the only one complaining about the App and I'm sure your employees also have to do some "cleaning things up" in the computer when the App fails to act as it should. This should double-motivate your organization to make some immediate changes. I chose UHaul because I was going to save about $50 - $60 doing this myself, versus hiring some movers. Next time I will just bite the bullet and hire the movers. But if I ever need a storage unit, I will not be using your App again and will instead go through the staff at the front counter which, for all intents and purposes, defeats the small bit of conveneince that you're offering with the App. Best of luck to your programmers, as I'm sure they're already being pressured by Corporate to get these problems fixed!

Guys were nice and had the truck pretty well ready to go. The windshield wipers were complete trash, making driving tough and dangerous with all the snow melt getting kicked up onto the windshield. I witnessed the check-in technician replacing the blades during his vehicle inspection so I appreciated that he took me seriously and the next person would be in good shape.

Truck rental service was ok. However the comment below is for the moving service that I had to cancel. Please read this. I recently hired Door2Door Movers in Lawrence, KS using U-Haul’s website for a move, and I must express my profound dissatisfaction with the level of service I received. I had scheduled the movers to arrive at 10 am on my moving day, and what ensued was a series of unprofessional and frustrating incidents that left me deeply disappointed. Upon preparing the rental truck at 10 am, I received a call from a representative of Door2Door Movers assuring me that the movers would be there in 10-15 minutes. Unfortunately, this turned out to be the first in a series of false promises. After a series of calls, I discovered that the movers hadn't even completed their previous job from 6 am. Despite multiple assurances that they would arrive shortly, it became evident that the moving company had grossly mismanaged their schedule. The final straw came when, at 1 pm, after numerous unreturned calls and promises of imminent arrival, I had to cancel the service. This three-hour delay not only disrupted my entire day but also jeopardized my commitment to return the rental truck by 6 pm. Compounding the frustration was the fact that I had injured my left leg two weeks prior, and the excessive delay and subsequent need to move boxes without professional assistance exacerbated my physical condition. As a result, I found myself unable to walk the next day due to the strain on my injured leg. I am appalled by the lack of professionalism and disregard for customer commitments displayed by Door2Door Movers. The fact that they were highly rated on U-Haul's website with seemingly positive reviews only adds to my bewilderment. This experience has not only inconvenienced me but has left me questioning the reliability and integrity of this moving service. I strongly advise potential customers to exercise caution when considering Door2Door Movers, as my experience was far from the exemplary service their online reputation suggests. I sincerely hope that others do not have to endure the frustration and disappointment that I experienced with this moving company.
