Did not enjoy the self serve system as there were too many issues and we had to get help multiple times. Added about an hour to our trip just trying to figure out how to get the rental and return it. If everything had gone well I would feel otherwise but that was not my experience. The truck was also not well kept. It doesn’t seem it gets cleaned in between customer use. Will never use this service again.

getting the key out of the rusted box is almost impossible.

It was difficult to find the key box. The key box is located on a light pole. When I was picking up and dropping off, there was a large UHaul truck parked in front of the light pole with the key boxes so, it was not visible when leaving the building.

The self check in procedure was tedious. The wait time to be approved was too long. It must’ve been about 15 minutes waiting for the approval on my phone. it should’ve been under five minutes. The concept of the phone check-in is fantastic. It should be sped up.

SCAM/ RIP OFF ALERT! My emailed estimate for a 40 mile trip (my estimate) was $115.55 which included the Safe Move Plus at $28.00 and the Rental Rate at $39.95. This was all expected. I returned the 26' truck with 46 miles (I always take pictures of any rental vehicle and the dashboard), this was accurate. I received a charge of $297.83. The milage was correct however I was charged $84 for the "safe Move Plus (it is $28.00), $119.85 for the Rental Charge (not a charge!) and the Rental Rate of $39.95 (which is correct). Additionally, they charged me $24.75 for fuel when I left MORE fuel than I took it with (and have the photos which I sent in which have the geolocation and metadata showing the time they were taken). There was no one at the location, it was a virtual manager, who told me to call Haul or email them. Well, still waiting. I am disputing the charges with Amex by EOD if I do not hear back with a correction and how they will compensate me for my time and aggravation and trying to scam. Factoring in approximately $8 for the additional 6 miles over the estimated milage from and taxes etc from the estimate, that brings the estimate at $130.75. This means they charged me 2.27 times MORE! Best part, the proof of fraud is in writing, sent by them and I have photos of the fuel level and receipt. Nice try Uhaul.

My experience was very frustrating. I reserved a truck at the Internet Pl location and was told my truck hadn't been returned yet. Thought you should have alerted me prior to my arrival. Then despite having a truck in the lot, no one was on site to give me a key. I was them directed to the Lena Rd location, 5 or 6 miles away adding to my mileage usage. When I arrived no appliance hand truck was there even though I had originally requested one. Virtual assistants while polite and friendly can't always take the place of on-site personnel.

I am 70 y.o. female and I rented a 10' box truck to move furniture. I had the assistance of an 80 y.o. male. Once we got to the location and were moving a chest of drawers we see there is no pull out ramp!! Why would anyone have to rent a ramp!?!? The lack of a vital part of the moving process ruined an otherwisw pleasant rental experience!!!

Read above remarks! This entire experience cost me an additional $150 as it set me behind on meeting the packers that were loading the furniture. Not to mention that I had a full tank of fuel, which should have been done before I picked up! You all need to fix the communication between your website and the destinations for pick up and drop off, not to mention to be sure there are the requested supplies needed to make the move easy as it should have been in the first place! Never again, and I will refer future people that need a truck someplace else!

I was told that this location would be open until 6 pm today (12/2). I returned my trailer at 4:30 only to find the location closed and I had to take the trailer off my car myself… I’m a 66 yr old woman and struggled with it and left with the trailer hitch still attached to it… I did the best I could.. was not anticipating having to remove it

Was unable to use the app to pick up the vehicle off hours and had to wait til they opened. The attendants were congenial but not apologetic about the app not working and basically just said “ok mamme, here’s the truck. It was parked in very tightly and was difficult to get out without hitting another vehicle. They offered no help. Did not walk around the truck to verify if there was present damage. Not helpful at all.

I waited 40 mins for someone to come to the door, when I had a scheduled pick up. Then there were no dolly’s. So I had to drive to another location to find a dolly. Then after racing to get the van back at 5:00. No one was there again. Horrible service. Completely unfair and they do not value anyone’s time.

I returned the truck and they took my paperwork and said all was good. Then they called me minutes later to tell me that I need to return somewhere else. My contract had their address. When they looked at the highlighted field for rental return they agreed they were the correct location. I could hear someone else arguing in the background of the call. I am UHaul loyal and from all my rentals and purchases, this was the most confused and strange interaction. All ended well.

The app is terrible but the staff was great. You cant backtrack on the app to get the key code. So, if you accidentally skip that screen your truck is “dispatched” and you are unable to get the keys.

Passenger mirror was not secure so driving through Atlanta and Nashville with a mirror that would not stay put was interesting to say the least. Air conditioning would work for 10 minutes then shut off for 10 minutes throughout the entire trip which was extremely difficult for me but mainly for my diabetic dog.

I reserved dozen blankets, two dolley. But they didn’t have neither blankets nor a moving dolly. You should let the customer know at the time of reservation about the availability of the equipments. At the time of pickup the truck creates disaster. I am going to call my credit card to stop payment. I end up buying two dolley and 12 blankets. It cost me lots of money and frustration and the headache at last moment. Front desk response was that they are third party authorized dealer, basically don’t care. You need the truck or not.

I ordered 1 doz blankets at the time of my reservation more than a week prior to my move. On the day of my move at check-in I was advised there would be no blankets provided due to a high demand. I inquired could we source blankets from another location. The response I received was "No I'm sorry I'm only a 3rd party vendor", so now I'm left high and dry with no blankets to protect my furniture, I know this from previous experience. Unfortunately, I did sustain damages to my furniture and for that reason I suggest Uhaul review their reservation procedures. It would have been helpful if I received a notification advising no blankets would be provided as part of my equipment hire, I then could have orgainized alternative protection/blankets.
