In general for U-Haul contracts. There could be a differnt policy for short delays. I was late for one hour and led to a full day charge. There could be half day charge if you are late less than 2 hours late.

We had requested a truck for two days. We had gone to the location to solidify our order and were assured by the employee present that we would have the vehicle for two days. "It won't be a problem." When we went to pick it up, however, we were told we had to have it back in 20 hours. We stated that we were to have it for two days and the employee, who was the owner, said that wasn't possible and there was nothing he would do. We were being penalized because we wanted to pick up and drop off our truck at the same location.

There was only one worker at the location. He was friendly, but unable to assist my needs. There was misinformation given to me by the people who worked at the 800 number and instead of him calling direct and getting everything sorted out, he had me call and waste 45 minutes of my time getting transfered a million times and hung up on twice! So not happy with this expierience. The worker had a good attitude, but was extremely lazy!

I never received the original invoice from pickup location because their printer was down. They said a copy would be sent to my email, but never received. Can you help or do I need to go back there??

I spent a few minutes figuring out how to adjust the side mirrors. I finally went back in for help and found out they were manual and I needed help adjusting them.. If the guy hadn't helped, it would have taken me quite a while to do myself, and seeing out them is obviously saftey necessary... Also, the seat did not shift up far enough for me being short... (Cargo van) a booster or something would have helped. Other than these two things everything was great!

My experience with Uhaul was 100% fantastic. The pick up and drop off was much easier than I expected and the guys working at the store were great. I was impressed with how helpful they were in making my move smooth and headache free. Bobby was especially observant of all my needs, a stellar chap for sure. I wish all customer service representatives would be a replica of his character and professionalism.

When I returned vehicle I followed the gas guide provided on invoice. I needed to return with 3/8 of a tank (tank was almost empty). Guide said add 12 gallons. When I did this , gauge then said 5/8 full. A call to the 800 number said too go back to location for an adjustment. I was told nothing could be done and the call center "was a pain in the ass" for telling me this. No satisfaction whatsoever. This appears to be a scam to get vehicles returned with excess gas-saving Uhaul a lot of $ over the course of many returns. Curious to see other customer complaints along these lines. Probably will find an alternative rental next time.

I made a reservation for a 24 hour rental of a 14' truck. I was told I could pick up the truck between 4:15 PM and 7 PM on Saturday. I arrived around 6 PM and the first thing I was told was "we probably don't have a truck for you because we are overbooked". Then your associate pulled up my reservation and said "we don't have a truck for you because you scheduled a 24 hour reservation and the only truck we have must be back by 9 AM. I explained that I am need the truck for early Sunday morning prior to your business opening and that is why I reserved the truck to be picked up Saturday evening. The associate told me I can not have the truck becasue it is reserved for someone else on Sunday morning. The conversation got ugly and he finally agreed to give me a truck as previously committed per the reservation BUT he told me that if I didn't return the truck prior to 9 AM I would be charged for two days of rental. I had people scheduled to help on Sunday morning but they were not available to help Saturday night. My company had a booth at the Westmoreland Fair Grounds and I had to remove the appliances from the fairgrounds by noon on Sunday. I called the fairgrounds and was told they permitted me to remove the appliances I had at the fairgrounds after midnight but I had no one available to help move these appliances and this is at least a two person job. I called around and found an acquaintance who would help me if paid him. I paid him $40.00 to assist me to pick up these appliances from the fairgrounds. Not only did this cost me additional money becasue your company refused to honor the reservation even though I had guaranteed the reservation with my credit card and would have been billed for the rental if I had not picked up the truck. I consider your business practices to be unethical and very possibly illegal. I will be filing a formal complaint with the Better Business Bureau and the PA State Attorney General's office.

I reserved a van for two days, but when I arrived to pick the van up, I was told that I only had it for one day. This totally disrupted our plans for moving, and caused us to move thru the night to be able to return the van the next day. The person at the store was not apologetic. He said that the person establishing reservations did not know the availability in his store. I said that was ridiculous. He just shrugged. I will never use that particular store again.

A $19.99 10' TRUCK COST ME $250.00 BECAUSE THE PERSON WORKING THERE TOLD ME WE WOULD BE CHARGED AN ADDITIONAL $20.00 IF THE TRUCK WAS LATE. HE FAILED TO MENTION THAT WAS BY THE HOUR. POOR COMMUNICATION BY UHAULS PART.

Make sure vehicle goes straight before renting it to a customer, made u-haul aware of the problem they just got an attitude with me when I mentioned it to them. Make sure tires are properly inflated before renting as well, couldn't see out of the windows they were so dirty! Won't be going back! $128 for terrible service

POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE!! Every time we walked in the place it seemed as though we were bothering the staff. We bought all of our moving supplies from U-Haul. Spending close to $1000.00 on supplies for the move. We were to have the truck back at 7:00 PM….when the unloaders did not have it unloaded by then. The truck was returned at 8:45…they were closed. They charged us for 2 trucks for two more days…including insurance. The store manager would not reverse the charges. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND!

I used a 10 ft truck. The fuel level was a tad below the full mark but marked full. The The Went approx 28 miles. I was made to put almost 6 gallons of fuel back to get it reurned correctly. Basically saying the truck got 4.6 miles to the gallon. I think something is seriously wrong. Not that this complaint will be taken very seriously. It isn't right. I have rented trucks many times this was first time I have ever complained.. But something isn't correct either the recording of the fuel or the equipment.
