I had a much lower quote the week before; however, the Van Buren location did not have the car dolly. I was told I would have to go to the Spruce St. location to get the tow dolley. Itbis about 8-10 miles apart from the Van Buren location. I asked about getting extra miles for the round trip drive to the Spruce St location (I was moving items closer to the Van Buren location) I was told I could not be reimbursed extra miles for having to . Pick up equipment that you, as a company, should have had at the Van Buren location. I said that wasn't fair, the employee said "life is tough and not fair" because of his reply (my 25-year old son recently passed very unexpectedly) I thought his remarks were unprofessional and insensitive. Later the Spruce St location told me I could of rescheduled my reservation, instead of canceling it and rescheduling for 1 week laterat the Spuce St location. When I told the insensitive employee because of his remarks, and the unavailable equipment at one location, I would be forced to cancel and reschedule my reservation, he never informed me I could reschedule the reservation. HIS FAILURE TO INFORM ME THAT I COULD RESCHEDULE ENDED UP COSTING ME ABOUT $70 FOR THE SAME TRUCK. I FEEL THAT THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THE TWO RESERVATIONS ON THE TRUCK SHOULD BE REFUNDED. ALSO, THE EMPLOYEE WITHE RUDE INSENSITIVE REMARKS SHOULD RECEIVE SENSITIVITY TRAINING...I WOULD NEVER TALK TO A CUSTOMER THE WAY HE SPOKE TO ME. IT

Truck was 3/4's full of gas when rented. I returned truck almost full I was told to fill truck to 3/4 full. Difficult to do because of the single operator. I always rent cars and trucks full.

I rented a utility dolly along with the trailer rental, After we drove away and arrived at our destination we found the dolly was not in the trailer. We had to return to the yard to pick up the dolly. This has happened both times I've rented from this location. With this rental I specifically asked if the dolly rental was included. The gentleman at the counter said yes, and instructed us to pull to the location for the trailer to be hooked-up. At this point in time the concern is that the trailer is hooked-up properly, brake, and turn lights are working. The trailer is in satisfactory condition, etc. So, we didn't notice if the dolly was in the trailer. I realize that we too should have noticed it was not in the trailer before pulling away. However, I believe this should not all be on the customer side. I feel that your staff should communicate with everyone involved with the rental of this trailer so that this type of inconvenience is avoided. Such as telling the customer to stop back at the office to get the dolly after the trailer is hooked up, or make sure the person assisting with the hook-up of trailer is aware the dolly needs to be put in the trailer. Otherwise, it was easy to reserve the trailer. The location was convenient, and return was easy. We were accommodated with the trailer needed.

When I went in and tried to work with Joshua, the owner, he was rude and unhelpful. I was only given a 1/4 tank of gas. Everytime I have ever rented a U-Haul, I have been given a full tank. I asked and he refused. When I was to put my credit card in there was no authorized amount. When I said this is unusual, He said "well I guess we are lucky to be U-Haul and do things the way we like". We were not given directions on how things worked on the truck. The windshield had strips of tape on it. I had a witness to how unhelpful this guy was. I was gearing up for a long trip. I would have left given his treatment of customers. But I had already flown in to California the night before and had movers arranged and felt I had no other options, but to put up with this lack of professionalism. Given that experience with him, I thought while I had used U-Haul for years I would never use U-Haul again.

It was the weirdest thing - the empty truck on the way to Santa Barbara used more gas than the full truck on the way home from Santa Barbara so I ended up bringing the truck back with WAY more fuel than when I picked it up!

Our technician went to pick up the trailer at the 2775 Foothill Blvd., Rialto, CA 92376, and I never got an e-mail stating that the location for pick up had changed. When I called the customer service office, they had mentioned that they had e-mailed me with the new pick up location, but it turned out that they had my wrong information on file. Also, my e-mails come in as Mr. Alonso and I am registered as a female. Apparently,

I will say that the facility was well staffed the day I had to rent a truck. Because we came early in the morning and were done mid-afternoon, we didn't have to wait very long to get the truck or return it. But the truck did not start well and we would have been very concerned if we were making a long trip instead of just around the city. So the Riverside U-Haul does get points for improving the renting experience at this location, but it still is faced with using trucks that are pretty beat up.

I got a blow out on the freeway and the guy at the counter wouldn't even comp me a dollie plus I had to pay helpers an extra hour because I had to sir on the side of the road waiting for the tire repair. The roadside assistance was awesome tho. I just wish they would have offered me something for my troubles but they didn't

I signed up for 24 hours, the rep said return it at 6pm, thr paperwork said 3pm. I have never had such a terrible moving experience in my life. The staff was way too slow and jaded. I feel like I was criminally defrauded. I was not able to complete my move and I am in a very bad condition because of it.

the manager was rude to employee at the front desk during a conversation, in front of customer, told a very professional and nice employee Phil Elash "you don't do what corp tells you to do, you do what i say do!" in a condescending manner. 8-28-14@550pm, the truck we reserved was not available, my reservation was 8-28-14@6:00pm thru 8-29-14@6:00pm, although we were not offered 100.00 for reserving a truck that was not available and waiting for the u-haul office to find a solution. later the afternoon 8-29-14 during my rental, i called u-haul and stated i would be late, the office agreed to a new drop off time of 8-30-14 @0700am, later the evening of 8-29-14 someone called and left a voicemail stating if i did not return the truck at 0600am 8-30-14 there would be a fine 100.00, i received the voicemail approx 1030pm 8-29-14 so it was too late to call u-haul office to discuss the v/m i received, my problem is the verbal agreement was to return of truck on 8-30-14 @ 0700am and pay for an additional full day rental although i would not have the truck for 48 hours, no agreement was ever made for a drop off 8-30-14 @0600. i did not appreciate the change in the verbal agreement because if u-haul had mentioned a fine when i am within the agreement i would not have rented from this store. i wont be renting here again. you can't make an agreement with the customer, change the terms of agreement later without speaking to the customer, then profit from the rental by way of forcing an early backed, by threat of billing the customers bank account. and if the store had, we would surely have met in court. am i upset, yes very much so.
