I was disappointed that my original truck was at a different location. I ended up downgrading the truck so that I could pick up my truck and car transporter at the same location, and the truck ended up being too small and we had to give away some of our things. Though it was ultimately my decision to downgrade the truck, I think it is unfair that a truck renter can get sent all over the city to pick up different pieces of equipment. We lost some valuable furniture and are disappointed that this happened.

Scheduled online for 7-7 truck...was told when I picked up at 7:50am that I had to have the truck back at 5pm....ridiculous, and screwed up our entire moving plan. This was followed by a "too bad for you" attitude by the front desk when I told them about the time slot I reserved. Will never use Uhaul again.

Very easy. Had no appointment but vehicles were available being we rented on a Friday just for the day.
Staff went above and beyond calling to let me know I had dropped my debit card and they would hold it in the safe for me.

The manager was aguing with the employee while he was checking my equipment out. He answered her question more than once. Being a manager in several fields and a trainer previously this is unacceptable. If there was a location closer to me I'd use it. It left a bad taste in my mouth. I'd give everything else an A+.

My trailer had a leak so when I got to the drop off, I had to unload wet boxes for storage and repackage. The manager looked at it and found the leak. Said I had to report it back to uHaul for compensation. I think it is only fair that I get some back or should I file on the insurance I bought?

Lower cost. I rented the van a half hour before closing and returned it two hours later--there should be a break for using it a time it would have just sat there.

Originally reserved at one location, and they rented it out on me and I had to go to a different location to find one. Second location didn't seem to care when I picked it up, but the lady when I returned it was nicer and helpful. Mixed feeling about using U-haul again. Trailer was rusty but well maintained with proper sized chains and properly inflated tires, etc.

I had to wait 5-8 minutes in line when I was picking up and returning my trailer. Moving days can be stressful so minimizing this waiting period would relieve some stress. Perhaps other employees could jump on a register when there are customers waiting. Otherwise it was very simple process and everything worked out well.

the surge brake on the trailer was out of adjustment and was jerking my car really bad during stops. I checked it and the springs were collapsed and over tightened. bad towing experience.

I tried to get a confirmation email 3 times and no one ever sent one. Since getting a confirmation email was too difficult to do, I called to make sure that the person who is picking up the trailer (in my absence) didn’t have to pay since it was reserved and supposed to go on my credit card on file. I was assured by Uhaul that it was in fact all set and Uhaul said, “the only thing they need to say/do is say your name and they can grab the trailer”.
Then when my partner went to grab the trailer, Uhaul charged him and made him give his credit card! He didn’t want to because I said it was taken care of… but he did anyways because they said it wasn’t.
After I found out my partner was charged, I called to say my complaint and the only thing the lady on the phone said was “sometimes phone calls roll over to our call center and our call center doesn’t know what they are doing”.
Shouldn’t the call center know what they are doing? How is that my fault that I was rolled over the call center if their lines were busy? The lady at the West Allis location reversed the charges to my partners card and charged mine instead. She also FINALLY set me the receipt showing the debit and the credit. I got off the phone and I just feel annoyed. I felt like after this whole mess, she could have compensated by not charging for the trailer at all. But that wasn’t an option apparently. I guess it’s my fault that I called when their lines were busy and got (unknowingly) transferred to YOUR call center where supposedly they don’t know the proper procedures….? That was my first time renting from Uhaul and I am very unsatisfied. If the charges are fully reversed, I will forget the whole mess. But If I have to pay for this, I will write online my opinions of Uhaul so this situation doesn’t happen to others.

Last time I rented I was offered the discount for bringing the same size trailer to the Milwaukee area and was offered to drop it off in Burlington. I pickedup a trailer in MN again and brought it back to the Milwaukee area and this time I had to drop it at West Allis or I would be charged additional. I didn't appreciate driving an extra 25 miles this time when I didn't have to last time. I was told if I didn't drop it at West Allis I'd be charged the higher amount.

The only issue I had was renting extra furniture pads and not using them. I was charged for their use anyway.
