Equipment, truck, was filthy, mirrors where loose and it took forever do to the incompetent help at this location. Spent more time of going through the motions of acting like they were busy as opposed to actually doing something to help customers. Every question asked we were told to call U Haul to get it taken care of! Watched them put call after call on hold while there were 3 people behind the counter with only 1 actually doing anything. This was our only choice, but next time I would go out of town to deal with a different location! I have had bad experiences trying to fill propane tanks at this location but I thought that was because they were busy helping rental customer,,,,,,,, Boy was I wrong!!

When I had a problem (back door of truck stuck open because latch that locks was caught on lip of roof) the customer service person on the phone was completely unhelpful. She tried, but had no useful suggestion. Went back to the location and they fixed it immediately and explained how to avoid it. Was really pissed after customer service, but quite pleased after help form the location.

The drop-off took less than three minutes. An employee came out as I drove up, asked if everything had worked as planned, checked for the additional equipment in the trailer, unhitched the trailer, and I drove away. It couldn't have been easier!

I called to ask where the key drop of was located I was told that their was no key drop off and I had to have it at drop off at 6pm or I would be charged for another day I explain my contract stayed it was due at 615pm any way this was corrected at the Lubbock drop off station the phone reps suck when you call 800 number for u haul I would not recommend u haul to a friend this was worst experience I ever had with moving company they made mistakes from the reservation of the truck to the return of truck nothing but bull shit from call center

This visit went good and smooth. I have noticed the team is very busy from time to time but they do give good effort . On other visits it has token some time to get attention to refill propane , possibly due to customer volume, work load, maybe the propane refill area is not as frequented? But as for the courtesy of the staff, great guys!

I reserved a 2 - wheel car dolly several days in advance. Before the pick up date, I recieved an email recommending I complete the pre-registration information so the process would be quicker and easier when I arrived. I completed the information and submitted before my appointment. On the day of pick up, I met with the U-Haul representative and still had to provide all of the information I had provided prior to my appointment. After this, the rep said he had to see if they had a car dolly available and left me standing at the counter for what seemed to be about 10-15 minutes before returning. He said he found a car dolly and we completed the transaction. I pulled around to the puck up area, where another rep had me back up to the car dolly and after connecting to the dolly, none of the lights would work. The rep said there was not any other 2-wheel dollies available so he would ask the manager if he could switch to my order to a flatbed car hauler for the same price. The rep disappeared for about 10 minutes. The rep said they had another 2-wheel car dolly, but it was red tagged and had try and make that work. After working with the wiring and continually replacing different things, he was able to get the lights to work, for the time being. After and hour forty minutes and now running an hour past schedule, we departed Texas for California. During our two day trip, I had to continually fidget with the wiring to get the lights to stay working. Thankfully, I was never pulled over for "no trailer lights or no blinker lights." I understand a company is in business to make money and a flatbed trailer is about double three price of a 2-wheel dolly, but in this case, the manager could have made an exception and taken care of the customer. Not only were we late making my appointment in California, but the inconvenience of having to wait an hour forty at the U-Haul center to pick up the dolly was rediculous and having to fidget with the connections to ensure the lights were on was equally rediculous. I calculated at least a 3 hour buffer window after calculated stops for fuel and we were still late. Not only was I furious, but completely dis-satisfied with everything from this Lubbock U-Haul center. I have always used U-Haul for my moving needs, but this experience has me so unhappy, I will consider using other companies in the futer. If you plan on renting anything from U-Haul and reserve it in advance, you may want to call in a few days in advance to make sure they have it or will have it available when you come in to pick it up. It should not have be the customer's responsibility to do this, but it may help them to stay on top of your order.
