The rental pickup location was great, it's the invoicing afterward I'm not happy with. The advertised rate was $0.89/km. I ended up getting charged $1.59/mile which resulted in an extra $8.04 or an additional 9.04 kilometers.

Elijah HDealing with Frank was great. Answered any question I had. Even stayed open for a little bit to help me out. Wish I went there first. Equipment was easy accessible and ready to go. Unlike the first location. What $#!+ show that was. As for improvement. Frank you got this you don't need no improvement. As for U-Haul. Stop updating your goddamn systems. I was a U-Haul and storage manager also AFM 5 years total. Two biggest complaints. Always trying to make the system better. And never did. And for god sake. Stop stealing from your employees. Stop lining your own pockets. And pay these dealers what they're worth. They do nothing but make money for you guys. So some dam respect to them. They do all the work and you guys the profits. And I know damn well it has nothing to do with vehicle maintenance and blah blah blah. Don't even pay storage towards your vehicle sitting there. But yet if they wanted to put something on your property you damn well charge them wouldn't ya.. yeah I got a bad taste of my mouth for U-Haul. Bunch of crooks... Frank you keep up the good work. I'll recommend you to anybody any day. Cheers
Neil GHe was very rude, swore a lot and was quite unorganized. Things were done on his laptop, so had to read what I could of my contract over his shoulder!! I had an outstanding balance of about $97. I tried calling your 1-800#, they wouldn’t accept the “promissory” note from this agent. I gave him $100 cash so he could put it through. I have received an email from U/Haul saying I still owed the $97, plus I had now incurred a late fee of $30!!! Also the email sent by your accounting dept.? Had the date set for Jan 01, 0000! So as far as I’m concerned? I had paid in full when I returned the rental. I feel that agent should pay the late fee if $30, ad well as put through the $100 I have to him in good faith. ( I have a witness who saw this exchange. ) If you could please rectify this situation, and perhaps give this fellow some better guidelines to follow according to your companies policy? Thank you for your time. At this point I will not be giving a very good report, nor will I recommend UHaul to anyone I know. Thank you, Kathi Fance

Elisa Gvery poor customer service. Rude attitude. When we picked it up we were told the gas was full and to top it up to full before we returned it. it took $47 in gas, we only drove it 14 km the owner at the store wouldn't even get up to adjust the amount on the invoice at the time, we had the gas receipt and he wouldn't even take it he said he would do it after very poor communication. We are owed that amount less cost for 14 km on gas. we tried calling the number just now and it says this person is not taking calls at this time. can you do something to help here as we need a credit back to my visa. call me at 778-674-6274

Yang FI'm new to Nanaimo and at first went the wrong direction. I arrived at 10:20am to the right location, the worker began by giving me grief for being 20min. late. He was incredibly patronizing to me throughout the entire experience. Talking down to me and asking me far too many personal questions. Even felt the need to question why I was smiling in my drivers license photos? And why I wasn't using a friends truck to move? He was accusing me that I wouldn't return the truck and would take off with it. I believe because my cousin and I were young females he was comfortable treating us in such a manner. I guarantee if we had had a male figure with us it would have been very different. He never did an inspection before or after my renting. Later I see I'm billed for damages the first page reads paint chips and later a small dent. The only furniture I hauled was a small TV stand, the rest was boxes and a shop I did at Superstore. I made 2 trips and didn't touch anything with the truck. He is dinging me with past damages on what he hopes is a naive girl. Of course I am disputing the ridiculous claim. I have rented plenty of vehicles over the years and have never had such a absurd experience. Will never return to this location again.
PAIGE TI came in to book a U-Haul less than a week in advance. The size I wanted was not available initially, but Frank quickly tracked one down and got the reservation confirmed the same day. You can tell he's a busy man, but he took time to make the experience as smooth as possible.

shirley mUHaul rental was expensive, compares to other car rental. Extra charges, such as insurance whether you want it or not.. Mileage rate was too high. Overall, i wouldn't rent UHaul in future or recommend others to rent..

Manoj KCan't make any improvement suggestions! Very efficient check-out and check-in (self done on UHaul app) experience. Customer oriented manager very helpful about where to park car while rental was out. He also clearly explained at check-out how to check-in and where to put the key in the event he wasn't there. Good central Nanaimo location.
Kent BMake sure that the wiper blades are in good order. I drove from Nanaimo BC to Sherwood Park Alberta and the second day of driving was very rainy. Whereupon I discovered the wiper blades were frankly very poor. Otherwise I was perfectly satisfied.

Haley THow about something a little newer? Beat up piece of junk with no AC and no Kph markings on the speedometer. Also a hole in the muffler made the truck very loud and caused me a lot of embarrassment. Didn't feel safe to drive. Not impressed with how poorly you maintain your trucks.
