Average score given because well it was just average. On a weekend , business closed, so just a parking lot and the dreaded 24/7 app to check back in with. The app is horrible. Every time I tried to take the required photos the app crashed. This occurred so many times I finally quit and just locked the truck and put keys in deposit box. Once an account and a reservation is made, with whatever information U-haul requires then the point of a mobile app is to make the process smooth and efficient. Currently the mobile 24/7 app is not up to par.

The movers who assisted us in loading were terrible! They only used 1 of the blankets we rented. Consequently virtually every piece of furniture was scratched, dented, or broken.

Trash overall. Sent me in a truck that broke down then tried charging me wrongful drop off location fee on 2 separate contracts after fighting with CS and management trying to figure out who to blame so they can pay me back what they took. Then weeks later came back and tried it again on my trailer. Worst place to rent and wouldn't recommend to anyone. I know my review might be one person but this entire event and experience is horrible and just utter garbage. Shows what big companies think are more important. Giving out crap until it breaks down then tries to run your bill up and stall you out as long as possible

I dropped off the truck and let them know it had mechanical issues and they should not rent it to anyone else. I am fairly sure I spent an extra few hundred dollars in fuel on this move.

This is nothing this location can control. However, when I add 2 dozen furniture pads to my order, I expect them to be there. After discussing this issue with some uhaul personnel I was told the pads and any other additional items are not guaranteed. That is pretty bad. When I rent and need pads, they are not optional for me. I had to call around and find some pads on my own. Very disappointing.

This U-Haul place really helped me out so friendly so professional so down to earth when I got through moving and using their vehicle my car battery was dead well the people in there helped me out the man that owned a Jeep he gave me a boost not only once but twice thank you so much sir I will never forget you all's kindness thank you so much 💯💯💯💯

The truck was extremely bouncy going down the road and the ABS warning light would come on at times when hitting bumps. Sometimes it stayed on not allowing cruise control while other times it would just reset.

It’s difficult to get anyone on the phone and the lady at this location wasn’t very helpful. I ended up not needing the trailer tho I had picked it up. U-Haul 1800 told me to speak with the pickup location. Kinda got the run around because both the independent location and U-Haul told me the refund was up to the other. There were 3 other car haulers not being used so I’m sure I didn’t cause financial damages by not needing the one I had for two hours. I rent often and realize I have no leverage so whatever.

The sign said open till 12pm but no one was there at 10:30 am. I had to make multiple calls to uhaul before this was completed. They were helpful, but didn’t do what they said they were doing & required me to have to call again. Difficult time.

The location was decent. The experience I had was overall terrible. I had reserved a truck at a location closer thst was listed as open on Sunday when I needed the truck. I did not want to deal with renting a truck without anyone there in person. My reservation was moved to a different location not open on Sunday forcing me to use the internet for everything. I did show up later than my noon pick up by about 45 minutes. Trying to check in using the web service was giving issues, so after probably 20 minutes of getting no where I called a number. Was informed that since it was an hour after my pickup I couldn't use the web service. Note that I actually arrived within an hour but couldn't get anywhere online for a while. The person on the phone allowed me to start the process. Still having problems, it was continually saying my location was off when it was not. So in a parking lot in Alabama in August when it's about 95 degrees out, I am simultaneously calling 800 numbers and trying to download the uhaul app. Phone service says 15 to 20 minutes before I'll be answered. And bad signal means it takes probably 10 minutes to download the app. After downloading the app I hung up, it started to move the process but was very slow and clunky. App is slow to use, and when typing covers up the area you are typing on by the keyboard so you can't see any typos, meaning I'm getting pissed since I'm in the sun sweating can't see my screen, and even when I can I'm unable to see what I'm typing anyway. And, after getting my key from the lockbox, I see the dolly and blankets I paid for aren't in the truck I have the key for. So I see that another truck has the dolly and blankets. I was sent to a location that is closed on Sunday so of course there is no one there. So I try to call one of the toll free numbers posted on the sign and one on the website, and hearing the automated response say I have a 20 minute wait to get someone I decided to try the chat with support function. Typed out my situation and got an automated reply that I'd get a response in one minute. Waited. Waited 2 or 3 minutes. After that I start asking in the chat if anyone is even monitoring the chat, no answer. Kept on with it, since at this point I've been sitting in the sun dealing with this for close to two hours. Finally close chat, call the number and select the option to get a call back. Am told it's 15 minutes to get a call back, so I take the dolly and blankets and go. After about 90 minutes when I'm heavy into loading the truck I get a call back. For some reason after getting the callback I'm actually put on hold to wait for the customer service rep for probably 2 to 3 minutes. Talk to rep, explain that I took a dolly and blankets that weren't in my truck and he said he'd send a note to the location to make sure they knew about it. Also asked to make sure I wouldn't be charged extra and he told me that I would not. Fast forward to when I return the truck while the location is open. I don't give this guy a hard time since none of this is his fault. However I do mention all of the issues to him and he thought the dolly and blankets had been stolen....so he never got the message that I made a special effort to make sure he got. He was nice enough to have counted the blankets and noted I hadn't gotten the quantity I paid for and reduced my bill a few dollars to compensate. Long rant. Moral. If you want to go virtual that's fine. You want to increase efficiency, that's awesome. But at least understand what your customer has to go through and pay for. I have used uhaul in the past for all my moves, but this entire situation leads me to make sure I research every single option available that is NOT uhaul the next time I need a truck rental. I will gladly share this ridiculously preventable experience with everyone I even think might need a truck, simply to save them the hassle of dealing with what this company has become. Understand this too - I've left probably one bad review in my life before now. And I sit here typing on my phone for probably 20 minutes on this Moby Dick length diatribe when I have way better things to do. Can't imagine how someone thought that cutting out all people from the process and replacing it with a horrible internet process is smart. Good luck with that.

The only thing that I was most disappointed was that the appliance dolly that I rented was missing one on the metal loops to strap down the appliances. And I made extra for that dolly. Also I was charged an after hour drop off when the location closes at 12 on Saturdays

Location was fine and staff friendly but they need to check condition was what prior driver said. We were told truck had 1/4 tank. Warning light immediately came on saying only 2 miles to empty. Luckily gas station was a mile away.

The equipment was very dirty. Something has been spilled in the cab as the floor and dashboard was sticky, the seats were black with dirt. I cleaned the cab for over a hour. Something had been broken and left in the cargo area.
