The company it was picked up in was quick and easy. I used the van for a few hours. Was told to just drop the key in the box after which was done. On Saturday received an email from 800uhaul that equipment hasn't been received and need to call. Was not happy with that as the place I picked up from was closing for the day at 3. Uhaul is a disappointment.

tammy MLocation asked me to pick up the vehicle early, but the truck wasn't prepared. Tire pressure light was on so they asked ME to drive it to their shop to check on it. Service person indicated that they had just changed the tires but clearly someone had not refilled tires with correct pressure. He (Scott) said "tire light will go off after a few miles" which it did. I left the next day and the tire light came on after 60 miles and went on/off during the entire trip. This is a known issue at this location but they didn't seem to want to permanently correct the problem. Vehicle is the worst Uhaul I have seen. Driver side window handle is broken, console beheath drinks holder is broken, overhead light is broken and duct taped on, both doors had to be slammed shut to close. Vehicle had air fresheners added in the doors to try and cut the odor (smoke?). When I dropped the vehicle off I was being charged $1.09 a mile (10 ft truck, local) yet the U-haul website clearly states $0.89 a mile. The location's salesperson did correct this but this was after I pointed it out. this was the worst U-haul experience for me and completely different from the experience I had last year at the Aubuchons hardware in Plattsburgh, NY

It took almost 2 hours to pick it up due to the app not working and the company not leaving directions on where the key was causing the help and sitter to now not be able to help for the full time causing a second trip to be made and double my mileage to happen I would not recommend

Francis R3rd for 4th time using this location for a uhaul and always fantastic service. Rachel at the local main office was phenomenal in assisting on the phone when U-Haul canceled my reservation without notice.
Dustin NThe people were great! Everyone that I talked with were helpful and pleasant to deal with. Your automated responses were usually incorrect. For instance my delivery was for on or after 1:30pm. You automated updates said 1:00am to 5:00pm delivery. This forced me to call in and confirm my delivery time taking my time and time of employees. This wasn’t an isolated incident. Software needs to be refined. Again, thank you to the people I worked with. Laryssa on the delivery and Alyssa in the main Albany Office were great! After almost 2-years with our U-Box in storage I was shocked at the fact that everything was absolutely as I left it when I closed the door at our previous home in South Carolina. Clean, dry, no bugs or anything! Thank you to Don Jerry X-Plo E-Z Sto for taking great care of our U-Box/belongings!
Location is out of the way. The yard is large but the potholes had potholes. Not the friendliest staff, in the office or with the vehicles.
Carol PSo i rented a truck from these guys as a connection to lake placid. I needed a smaller truck and they said that large one was all they had. Even though those smaller units were at that location at the end of closing day. I was charged 160 bucks. They had two other trucks on property that were smaller and the size i needed.
Sebastian MCargo van reeked of cigarette smoke. Personal items left in van. Gas tank only 1/4 full.

Sharon FI had to shovel the Uhaul out myself. I did the self check in and the key was inside of the Uhaul instead of in a lock box like the app said. When I opened the rear door there was no appliance dolly like i had reserved. Completely unsatisfied with this experience.
Jonathan OThe equipment was adequate for the intended purpose. Everything worked as it should. The only issue I had was that I had to dig it out of being covered with snow and shovel the inside of the trailer to clear it of snow before starting my transport. The snowfall had occurred 3 days prior. I don’t know if that’s the norm. If I didn’t have a 4WD vehicle I would have been out of luck.That just didn’t seem right to me from a quality of care perspective.Not what I expected.

Bonnie HI had a beyond horrible experience with properly receiving my pod on time, in addition to other ridiculous circumstances. I will be calling corporate soon to communicate my grievances with both locations.
Felicia HIt took us an hour to get into the truck. We had 3 people on the phone with costumer service trying to figure out how to get the key. Then the tire indicator light was on. We took the truck anyway because there was no one to help us and we had already wasted an hour. In addition there is limited cell phone cover which ment uploading photos took over 15 minutes just to do the remote check in. Im sure the business is great but the uhaul remote checking experience was horrible.
Wade Mtow dolly wheel bearing was bad and shook my truck constantly when under weight load towing a camry for 5 HOURS.!!!! ratchet was completely rusted and hard to make work. a horrible overall experience.

Don RThere was some initial confusion, as the Burlington VT store where I reserved the boxes did not have any, so I had to drive two hours to Plattsburgh NY. At Plattsburgh they initially said that I had to return the box the very next day, which was impossible given the distance that I had to travel. However, that was the only glitch in the process. Our boxes arrived in Memphis on time, and with zero breakage that I have found so far- and we shipped a LOT of breakable items. I want to give a special shout out to the driver who dropped off our boxes in Memphis. She was friendly, worked quickly and efficiently, and even came back later the same day to pick up the empty boxes. She had mentioned that she's worked for U-Haul for 4 years now. Speaking as an HR professional, employees like her are hard to find!
DAVID HThe staff was friendly, helpful when on the phone with them, but so many mistakes were made! Terrible communication, follow-up and they just couldn't get it right. It seems like staff on the phone don't make enough notes or set things up correctly and maybe you rely on the automated system too much. We waited for our stuff for over 2 months, we were originally given a delivery location that apparently doesn't exist. Our stuff was delivered without communication to us to a different state, the only way I knew was that my card got charged, things promised were not delivered without me spending hours on the phone, speaking to several staff members, there were never any notes from the last person they spoke with-it was like starting all over again with each phone call. In order to get what was promised they had to pull phone calls which I waited days for and again did not get that call, I had to call back and start all over again. They set up delivers in places that aren't close to us without communicating and continued to charge us the entire time due to errors and delays on u-hauls end. I finally spoke to a regional manager who got everything set up, and I was re-imbursed. I got a phone call confirming delivery finally on 1/3/22 (we put our stuff in the ubox in October). The guy got there couldn't get up our driveway so we were unable to have the box for 2 days as promised. My husband had to unpack the ubox so they could take the box with them. The next day I was charged, which they were supposed to be doing it for free due to all of the errors. I called and they credited that charge but the fact I was charged in the first place is frustrating as there should have been notes so that did not impact us and I didn't have to make yet another call during my work hours. They also charged me again in December which they promised wouldn't happen b/c the delays were not our fault and when speakig to Todd on the phone yesterday we were charged. Todd re-imbursed both charges for Dec. and Jan., however very unorganized, terrible follow-through and communication and lack of accuracy. with u-haul overall. Terrible experience and will never use you again. My daughter lived without her stuff for 2 months-and personally I don't feel you should charge us for anything. I think you should re-imburse us the cost of the ubox period. This situation did not reflect your business in a very good light and I will warn friends if they are thinking of this route.

YOUR staff is atrocious, and I have gone out of my way to write negative reviews for Uhaul as a company. You are awful. Will never use again.

noella jTo start,, the office staff were very nice and accommodating but what ever occurred after we returned the box was not good.. We are so unhappy with our service. We were told and it is written in the contract that we'd have a "gentle ride" for our box. The video shows how it's loaded on a big trailer and shipped down. Ours was not! It was put incorrectly on the same sized tow behind trailer that it was on when we got and loaded it. The side was damaged on the way down and our well packed items inside were damaged. The door was so jammed it was open on one side where some items fell out somewhere along the way. The otherside of the door was so jammed it took a crow bar and hammer to be able to open. The people at the Myrtle Beach UHaul have been amazing and so helpful. They deserve accolades but whomever was responsible for scheduling the trip down was negligent. We have asked for our nearly $1000 . back as we absolutely didn't get what we paid for and we have damage to many items that were well packed, bungied and wrapped. Some items were antique and not easily repaired. We have also, with the help of the Marty at Myrtle Beach UHaul are submitting a claim for the damages. I said the box arrived on time. We had been told and it is in our emails it would be in Myrtle Beach on the 2nd or 3rd of September..available for pickup on the 3rd or 4th (I don't have the email in front of me). Imagine our surprise when we got a call on Sunday the 29th of August that it had arrived overnight Sat and showed damage and they wanted us to come look at what was falling out the bottom back.
