bernette zolicofferFirst I ordered a truck a month ago and your site suggests using App…that would be great if you can get cell reception at the gravel parking lot in southern Illinois! FYI - a moth ago I was told my truck would be at the Carbondale Preferred Uhaul location….FYI - Preferred usually means it’s preferred by the customer (me). But according to the woman that would never be answering phones at my company and threatening to hang up on me if I continued to complain. Also, I had ordered 12 packing blankets and on dolly, neither were in the truck….I am hoping this will be credited to my CC as well as 50 miles the lovely customer care person who basically threatened my rental said she would credit my account. Also you have a $50 refund if your vehicle is not ready. I had also ordered a dolly and moving blankets all that were never included….did I mention I’m disabled? Not cool….not cool at all! It’s absolutely ridiculous to ask customers to pick up there truck in a place you have now designated for me, I didn’t have any choice! But just how is a customer suppose to pick up a truck if they can’t connect to your mobile app. The app just would shut down. You have technical and supervision issues In our company. And why did the app (in Champaign) make me select a $25 cleaning fee when the truck was probably cleaned than when we received it! So very disappointed in the service and customer service. Steven MakoulThe rental was dirty and full of sand. Rep tried to clean some out but not all. Tried to do rental check online to verify condition and amount of gas at start but app was not cooperating.

Ursula ChristianWe dropped of the U-Haul on a Saturday so the location was closed. We had trouble with the on line process to turn in the U-Haul. We called and left a message on their answering machine, to let them know who we were and when we dropped it off. Other than that, everything was fine.

Lisa M MullettThe mobile pick-up process is understandably excessive, but a lot of the information it asked for was not noted ahead of time. I entered in my DL information before pick-up, but I had to re-enter and add in passport number and other information while I was picking up. I should be able to do all that ahead of time so as not to waste time when there.

WALTER WILSONGps does not take you to the correct location. Took several minutes to find the correct place because there was nothing saying that uhaul was there. It took seeing a trailer that was kind of tucked away, to figure it out.

Brian DimmittI did an after hours drop-off at this location. My only concerns were that U-Haul lists this business as MM&W, however this is Interstate Batteries. The address on the building is not clearing marked. However, there were U-Haul trucks/trailers in the lot and when I typed in Interstate Battieries in a Google search, the street address confirmed I was at the correct location.

Doug MillerWe arrived at this location and it was closed. Ben we attempted to use the telephone check in and the reservation evidently had been cancelled. We had to drive an hour and a half to get the car hauler, didn’t get to pick up the 20’ truck until 6 plus hours later and didn’t get the 24 moving blankets that we paid for, although that got refunded later. We purchased some blankets from a second hand store to accommodate our needs. It worked out. A phone call to let us know they closed at noon would have been very helpful and professional.
Charles LaussPayment was messed up, pickup was way out of our way! I have never been so upset and stressed at once! This was a horrible experience. I mean horrible. All that money we paid. Get told to go to a f Different location for pickup. 50 mins away from the original pickup. 50 mins back then 35 mins at pickup then double charged that was corrected on the spot. We went past original pick up place and they had the same truck. Not a good experience at all. But. The truck was return in better condition then when we got it. I am so angry and upset still. We spent alot of money on 2 trucks. To have this happen. All we get was extra miles for what we went through. Not even good business practices there!.

dale yorkThe location was hard to find because it does not have a large "U-Haul" sign. Although I had ordered furniture pads with the truck, the dealer had no pads. I received a credit for the pads. Without pads, my furniture suffered minor scratches during the trip. The "Service Tire Monitory System" light came on after I had loaded. I filed a report with roadside assistance. Fortunately, my local tire specialist diagnosed the problem as an inoperative passenger side tire sensor.

Henry GordonThe drop off location is listed on contract as MM&W but the place is an interstate battery. That made it a bit confusing to find at first but it ended up being okay. Very easy drop off we did after normal hours and had no issues. Clean and easy to maneuver in drop off area
Sabrina HullI turned on my equipment in on 4 April William Kirchhofer‘s in advertently did not put in that I turned in my tow dolly for my car, I was charged $360 on 18 April where he falsified information saying I was there and turned in the tow dolly. I also put a call through and the general manager Christopher Munoz was contacted on Saturday the 18th and I was there when he told his people over the phone he would contact me when he got home. He has not done that yet. I’m out $360 after moving in to my apartment. I will never use U-Haul again and I will tell my friends not to use uhaul either

Brian SingerIf equipment isn't returned on time, make arrangements to acquire a different vehicle or change rental location. I had to wait almost 2.5 hours for my rental past when I reserved the truck. It was also dirty (previous user smoked in it and left bits of leftover cigarette in truck) and the driver side seat belt was broken. I have no doubt if I were in a crash it would not have worked properly. In the face of all of these issues, I was told by the person dealing with the Uhaul rental that "don't complain to me, that will do nothing". Basically indicating that he didn't really care that I encountered an issue. No apologies or anything was offered in light of wasting my time and leaving me with a vehicle that was not properly maintained. The person dealing with the rental (checking the order, etc. on the computer) also seemed inept and wasted a lot of time getting my order details straight, which had already been entered previously online.
