great experience in renting from Uhaul at this location.
William FMy original reservation was supposed to be a Sunday drop-off. It got changed to a Monday @ 8:30 a.m. drop-off without me knowing. I was at the drop-off location @ 8:30 Monday morning per my updated reservation. The drop-off location did not open until 10:00. I was unable to be back at 10:00 so I left the truck and put the keys in their mail slot. I called back at 10:00. The gentleman I talked to was very cool about me leaving it. Not sure if I was charged for not having it checked in or not. I did not receive an itemized receipt. I can't really star rate the drop-off location since I never went inside. U haul online is the one who dropped the ball on this and had me running senselessly around in a 26' truck.

Lisa SU-Haul is a distraction to their business model. The truck box was disgusting, cigarette butts, dirt, filth, I had two sweep the interior two times before I could start loading.

BURTON KNo truck at that location. No help or suggestion on how to use car dolly. Changed dropoff location to Astoria from Gearhart, dont know why, had to call Uhaul and get it straightened out.

Joe LDrop off location was really convenient and the man who checked me in was really pleasant. Less than 5 minutes to wrap it up - fantastic. Now let's cover what happened in between pickup and drop off. First, let me say the truck was really nice & clean, and I was able to complete a 9-hour drive without fatigue. Next, there's exceptions, and this is where U-Haul needs to step things up. We stopped at a rest stop at 6:30AM and I accidentally locked the key in the truck (yeah, stupid me). Getting to roadside service was horrible. When I called the 800 number I went on hold and waited, and waited... guess what - they weren't open until 7:00, so you're on hold and there's no message saying what their hours are. Think of the poor person with a mechanical issue at 3:00AM and there's no way to connect with anyone. What they do encourage in the hold loop is to use the u-haul/help page on their website, which poses another problem. The website demands a specific street address to open a request. We were at a rest stop that had no address, and people have breakdowns on the freeway where there's no address. Can you see my frustration here? The systems and communication for these situations are so poorly designed that I'm convinced their creators must have died from shame. What I ended up doing to get a solution going was to find an address in a town 5 miles away on my mapping app and enter that into the request form, at the risk of having someone respond to that address instead of where I was. Another example of poor design is in getting help with your move. The website will provide recommendations of movers you can contact to help you load your truck and also unload at your destination. Nice feature, but it wants both load and unload locations and won't function for you if all you need is help unloading. It's great some of the time, sucks the rest of the time. In sum, U-Haul has a great fleet that I can recommend without hesitation. However, as an organization they are very poor at handling exceptions with reservations and roadside service, so beware and have a fallback plan in your back pocket.

Lucas WReturned the truck on the date per the contract but it was closed (Monday after Easter) Joel was there and able to check it in. Since it was closed he could not assist me with modifying the payment but said to come back the following day. Went back and was told since the truck was checked it he was not able to do it. Made calls back UHAUL and too much to write. See notes in the account.
