More of a knock on the uhaul app. I rented on Sat when the location wasn't open. The check in app is horrible. Pic of license is skewed and doesn't match the framing window. Not sure how the app could mess up the camera but it does. Locks are hard to use. Not renting from uhaul again when location is not open

Have regional management reach out to the rental properties so there’s no mix ups. Rental place had no clue of my rental. I went there just to double check on it, and thankfully I did. Two other people would have not been able to rent if I didn’t show up.

The key box locks were unprotected. It had snowed overnight and the tumblers on the locks were frozen. Since they were not opened on Saturday, I had to use the app to pick up the truck. The video I watched said there would be a "button" that said "Pick up my truck." And there wasn't. There was a "button" that said "Find my moving pads." After attempting to call Customer Service, and being on hold for about 10 minutes, I clicked on the moving pad button and it was the truck rental, too. Customers should be informed of that. Also, my original pick up location (and my original truck size) were not available and I had to drive further. I was told that extra miles would be added to my rental agreement, but that never happened.

You can stay with not running to customers cars for payments. At least invite us in to handle payment. This location needs more training handling Uhaul.

Don’t charge more than double the quoted rate. I would have rented from somewhere else if I would’ve known you charged so many hidden fees. I rented from here a few months ago and there wasn’t hidden charges. What changed? I’m very mad about this.

I live in Orland Park, IL and made the reservation for a facility I used previously within 5 minutes of my home. The evening prior I was informed I would have to go to another location 20 min from my home. Apparently, the prior renter dropped off the truck at another location. Since it was an unmanned/remote operation, I had to set up the app which was not a problem. Upon arrival, I had multiple problems and had to contact your customer service. They were very helpful. I lost an hour trying to get the lock box info so I could leave with the truck. Another couple that arrived before me had the same issues. The return was no problem at all. I would rent from you again; however, I would be reluctant to rent from a remote location.

To start with...We ordered a furniture dolly and paid the $10 for it..when we arrived it was not in the truck..I started the truck and the gas was below empty. The office was closed on the busiest moving day of the week..Saturday..that's ridiculous! So we had to go buy a gas can and gas and return to the truck to put enough gas in it to take to a gas station. We also waited on hold for 30 minutes to speak to someone about it so instead of driving off of the lot at 830 we did not leave the lot with the truck until 10am. I also had to find someone I knew that had a dolly since there was none on the truck and the office was closed. Moving is a stressful event to begin with but this is the worst customer service I have ever received. I will not be using UHaul again and would definitely not recommend to anyone

Before releasing the truck, please ensure that all doors are locked. My truck doors were not locked and the dolly I requested was not in the truck causing me to have to go and buy a dolly.

Canceled my dolly equipment without my knowledge because the location didn’t have it. So moving day we didn’t have any dolly’s so I had to go buy one. Making it more expensive. Terrible experience the day was super frustrating. Spent more miles and gas to go get dollys. Which made my cost of rent go up. Seems like a scam.

Windows were so dirty it was extremely difficult to see while driving especially at night. Inside cab was not clean and steering wheel felt grimy. Inside shop was not well maintained and was unorganized. Moving service that was booked through UHaul website flooded laundry room due to not turning off water connection before disconnect of water hoses. Sprayed water directly onto washer panel and fried the washing machine circuit board, then called police to say that I was at fault because I requested information from them regarding their insurance coverage. DO NOT USE CHICAGO PACK AND GO. These movers were both "HIGH" and smelled strong from weed... Smoke on your own time, NOT when someone is paying you to move furniture!

Just did not like the gas fee they tried charging us after we just put gas in the truck.. (we ended up getting that refunded), other than that, everything was great!!

I thought the U-Haul process was fine. I was simply renting a box truck so I could move things from my storage facility to my home. The entire round trip was 7 miles. They then used it to take items out of another facility in Indiana. That went smooth. The only issue I had was, the owner of the company was basically trying to scare me into buying insurance claiming that if I had an accident, U-Haul would take the money directly out of my account and then I would have to go after the other insurance company to claim my money. I wasn’t being sold the binder I was being “scared” into buying the insurance they offered. I even joked and said “is that how you sell it you use fear to sell that product?” Being in sales for 30 years you have to build value to the product in order to be able to make a good quality sale for everyone involved. if you have to use fear to do it it’s more manipulation than it is salesmanship. I would not use that as a reason to not work with them again they are good people there And they have nice trucks.

I put more gas in the truck than what I got the truck with and they still hit me with a 11$ gas fee. Kind of bogus if you ask me. The truck was missing a tail light in the back. Seems like the company don't care what happens or what the truck looks like. 2/10

Should post sign if no one is present, please use mobile application to sign in. Truck had less than a quarter tank of gas when I started it. I filled it all the way at the end though even though I didn’t go very far. Truck was not at my desired pick up and I couldn’t drop it at my desired location. Had to go out of my way to return it and waste time and gas money. Overall negative experience
