There was no one at both locations. It was self service. There needs to be a person at the drop off locations. They over charged and I can't speak to anyone What a ripoff. The initial quote was $105 and I ended paying $230!!! I will never use U-Haul again . Hidden fees

We were having trouble with the app completing the necessary information and the employee initially did not offer assistance. After a few minutes he did and we were able to complete the rental agreement. We returned the van @ 1:00 which was the site closing time and same employee threw the van key into the office, locked the door and said we would get an e-mail receipt which we did.

Made it less than 3 miles away and the vehicle had a Flat . This Owner has zero personal people skills seems very standoffish ( x’s 2 dealing with him ) I have to put the hitch on myself here not at Uhaul . I’ve had hand surgery and have little use of my rt. hand .

Only issue I had with my experience was dealing with uhaul itself. Changed my pickup location 3 times and each time to a further location. Had already made the plans so was stuck driving almost an hour further than originally planned to pick up. Then when it came to drop off the location was changed without me knowing until I was already at the location. Then I was charged a fuel and mileage surcharge because I was over driving to the new drop off location.

The location is ok. I ordered pads and they didn't have any. If you are not going to have the items I'm requesting please tell me in advance, not when I show up. It put me in a bind because I was moving a large piece of furniture that needed a lot of protection. The people at this location are not very friendly either. Truck was clean and worked fine.

I ordered a hand truck. It was not included with the van. I called uhaul and was told to go to another location to get one. I was pressed for time and was told I could not get an extension but was told I would get a $50 guarantee credit. I NEVER GOT THAT CREDIT

Nothing. The young lady. called me before I arrived to verify if I had a 2inch ball, because that's what I needed and she didn't want be to get there without the correct ball needed to tow. I really appreciate that. Once I got there she was friendly, professional, clear, concise and helpful. She and coworker great and worked well as a team. They hooked me up to the Trailer confirm everything was attached to the trailer correctly and verified the all lights were working correctly. I have already recommeded this U-haul location to 2 families at the Concord apartments.

Truck smelled of cigarette smoke. Was parked too close to others. Had difficulty getting it out of the parking spot. No one was in the office, despite the website saying the office was open on a Sunday. U-Haul web link was very slow! Junk everywhere! Not a good representation for the U-Haul brand. Would NOT recommend this facility for other renters.

I was forced to drop off at a different location than scheduled. No one bothered to notify me the original drop off location was no longer accepting drop offs even though the main office for uhaul was fully aware. I received no compensation for being required to spend more tine and gas at a different location. Poorly organized on uhaul's part

I got charged for a furniture dolly that I didn't request or actually have on the truck at the time of rental (only $3). Because the staff member who handles check in of rentals was not there when I returned the truck, the final charges weren't processed until the next day when I had already left town. It was only at that time that i discovered the charge. Too much of a hassle to try to get refunded on that.

Trailer was covered in mud , staff were friendly enough. They apologized for the condition of the trailer and told me that they had charged the previous renter a cleaning fee. After reviewing my invoice i find that i too was charged a cleaning fee. Do they keep it dirty so they can charge every renter a fee? I demand a refund. Sincerely Damian Durnin.

The first employee I spoke with when I arrived at Trou Automotive was very abrupt and rude. The 2nd man there took my information, but didn’t give me any type of paperwork, electronic record or contract agreement. I told him I estimated I’d return at 5:45 PM; he gave me no instructions about that. When I realized it was going to be later, I tried to call about 4:45 PM, and learned online they closed at 4 PM. When I arrived at their side parking lot, where I had gotten the van, it was completely blocked off my traffic cones. I had to get into it by slowly driving over the curb on the road side. I then realized I had forgotten to fill the gas tank, so left and did so. When I returned, I tried to park in the area in front of the their building. There was only one parking spot left, and I carefully backed the van up and back a couple of times to get into it and, in doing so, blocked in another car. I left my keys in the dropbox and walked across the street to the parking lot of some other business, where the UHaul man had instructed me to leave my car.. The next day, the man who had been rude to me initially, called me and left 2 messages. I had planned to call him because I was not able to calculate the mileage I had driven—the odometer changed from 21,394 MI, when I got the car, to B 18 K something when I tried to return it. When I called (my first opportunity to do so from my work as a physician), the man said he didn’t care about and “had taken care of the odometer” and loudly and rudely said I had “hit/run into another car and parked on top of a car” when returning the car. I calmly told him I have been very careful and not hit anything and reviewed the points I made above; he said he’d email the bill adjusted “for me doing so” to my email. I then saw a $150 cleaning charge had been added, when the car was at least as clean, after I swept it out and returned it, as when I got it. I called U-Haul to report the man and reviewed all the above with a helpful representative, Tanya Thornhill—apparently the U-Haul man at Trou Automotive lied about me pumping another car and used that, according to a note Ms Thornhill said he’d written, to justify charging me $150 for a cleaning fee, so he could make that as a profit. If I had bumped another car or anything else (which I didn’t), which he lied to me, and apparently in writing, about having occurred, I had purchased damage insurance, which should have been used to fix any damage That he claimed occurred. The Trou man didn’t want to file, or have U-Haul file, an insurance claim, of course, because he then wouldn’t have made $150 profit and could have been found guilty of insurance fraud, if that was investigated. I think U-Haul should immediately terminate the contract with Trou Automotive; otherwise, I believe this type of thing will happen again, whenever the opportunity arises, and damage U-Haul’s reputation, if not more.
