Kevin CThe renting process was easy however the storage door closed early and when I went back inside to speak to Angela who rented me the truck and storage Timothy was instantly rude and trying to lock me out while the other lady was letting me in because i was told I had access until 10. He became irate and mentioned he was ready to go home I attempted multiple times to ignore him eventually I advised him he would not continue his behavior with me as I’m a woman and my father could come speak with him if needed. prior to me entering the building he was already arguing with customers. When i purchased he wasn’t there and the environment was professional and friendly however when i came back I received the worst service from him and he wasn’t even serving me at all! He was unaware I had someone on the phone the entire time, Once my father came to the door he didn’t open his mouth so he acted out of ego and I didn’t appreciate it. The disrespect is unacceptable

SHAE LI rented trailer in Massachusetts to move items to North Carolina. When in Virginia, the suspension and axel failed causing the trailer and wheel to shift back and damage the fender. Made temp repairs, and limped the trailer to NC. Upon arrival, UHaul requested (if safe) bring it to the nearest UHAUL. Enter Lester - U-Haul Moving & Storage at Freedom Mall. Outright refused to accept the trailer, said he had no storage space for a disabled trailer, made me park it on the roadway; (Advising me "at my own risk", and then after I left, he logged the trailer returned- charging me for one-way use, when U-Haul advised it would be waived because it was a mechanical failure, not an accident and then charged me for the fender which was damaged when the leaf spring / axel / wheel broke from trailer. In total -over 1400.00 in false charges. Now refuses to refund and corporate office states I will need to arbatrate their false charges and/or bring them to small claims court in Massachusetts. Stay tuned for an update.

PAUL JThere is not enough room when pulling in to drop off your UHaul, especially if you have a 20' or 26' Supermover. Staff was overall very helpful and accomodating. There just needs to be additional room when dropping off equipment.

Franziska LI walked into four employees with-in the eyesight of the front office. Two of them were behind the counter and one was helping a customer. There was one walking around looking at merchandise another who went to the back the last sitting there behind a computer. So after a few minutes of the general manager (later found out) who was working with the customer joking about AOL, yahoo, and Hotmail emails with the lady sitting down she asked if I had a reservation. I responded yes. She looks me up and verifies some info. Then tells me to 'upload a selfie' from a txt. Now I rent quite often all over and just 2 days prior. I was confused and said you want me to do what? then I got an angry face when she had to repeat. I said ok grabbed my phone and then remembered my camera was broken on my phone. I asked her if she could just do it like all the other Uhaul places. This is when she gets madder and looks at her GM and 'says you hear this' he says ' What's going on I simply asked can you take my license and scan it? He then told me I would have to do it or not rent. This is when I let him know my camera was broken. He then says we can use their phone. Now keep in mind I rented on the phone ahead of time the lady verified me and knew my truck already. I paid her over the phone. This location it was like we started all over and with poor customer service. If I was in my town and this happened Would have went elsewhere.

Calvin MI found a bigger unit 4 times the size I was renting I wish I would have did my research before I rented the unit ,I thought public storage and uhaul were the same company I guess because they both are orange in color l got a 10x20 for the same price I was renting a 4x6x10 with public storage, I was getting ripped off from uhaul for the same price I was getting from public storage!
darryl r | Overall ExperienceI have rented many Uhaul trucks over the years (15-20), and though there have disagreements, I have always found my experiences with the representatives and policies to be both resonable and amicable for both me and the company, and that the representatives were trying to make sure I got the best deal possible, but not this time. From systematically forcing me to increase my rental, after it had been set and approved, to putting multiple holds on my account that were larger that the agreed amount and not authorized, till in the end not even attempting to consolidate charges or even look into getting the best deal possible for me, and as such this has been the worst uhaul experience I've ever had.

I had a set price when I made the reservation online and was also informed that the lock would be free and my first month would be free. When I was checking out in the office, they told me that the lock was not free and that my first month was not free. They were trying to charge me for things that I was not supposed to be charge for. I had chosen a second floor storage unit with climate control when the staff member was asking me what floor I wanted to be on? It was a complete waste of my time, and I’ve never had such a poor experience before. What is the point of reserving a room online when the staff doesn’t even seem to look at the reservation? There was a line of about 10 people behind me because the staff member was taking so long. It was completely ridiculous.

I couldn't get half of my things up in it due to safety reasons such as no handle bar or bars to keep you from falling off. I was going to ask to switch units but the staff shut the lights off as I was walking back up to the door. Do not I repeat do not use this location it's a mess and if you have an upstairs unit or one where you need the rolling staircase you won't be able to get half your things up there due to no elevator.

I reserved online and I was able to get my key card and purchase the lock and I was guided to the unit by the staff and we tested checking in and out and they even cleaned off a cart for use (I did not need to at the moment but that was a great gesture). Excited to store my stuff here! :)

And the 24/7 share is very new to me. Got a storage room and it was too small..coming from out of town I had to give some of my things away. This was the most difficult time I've ever had with Uhaul.
