Our Vision
At U-Haul, we are committed to sustainability through environmental protection, social responsibility and economic efficiency. We embrace our responsibility to act as a good corporate citizen by continually improving the sustainable performance of our products, services and activities. We work to meet the needs of the people today without diminishing the ability of future generations to meet their own needs.
Our Goals
We believe the primary responsibility of U-Haul is to develop products and services to help people move and store their household and commercial goods in an economically, environmentally and socially responsible manner. To accomplish this, we aim to:
Improve the environmental, social, and economic performance of our products, services and activities.
Provide solutions for pollution prevention, energy conservation and waste reductions.
Promote sustainable local communities through operational responsibility, social investment, and philanthropic programs.
Integrate environmentally-friendly technologies and innovations into product and service lifecycle management.

A U-Haul box is so sturdy that it can be reused again and again. Made of up to 90 percent post-consumer content, this also makes U-Haul boxes the best choice for the cost-conscious and recycle-conscious consumer.
Reuse Programs
U-Haul is committed to reuse via several programs such as adaptive reuse of buildings, our Take A Box, Leave A Box program, storage Re-Use centers, sustainable modular storage and our Patriot Truck Leasing program, to repurpose existing materials.
