Kar-Go Decal Printing Facility Closes in Warminster

WARMINSTER, Pa. (Feb. 17, 2017) — U-Haul has ceased operations at its Kar-Go Decal graphics and printing facility located at 96 Louise Drive.

U-Haul continues to own the property but plans for the building are still being considered, plant president George Palovcak confirmed. The last day of Kar-Go Decal operations was Feb. 10.

The property was acquired in 1979 and for nearly four decades served as the graphics and printing arm of U-Haul International, Inc., which is headquartered in Arizona. The facility printed the famous SuperGraphics that adorn the sides of U-Haul trucks and trailers, as well as the imaging, signage and banners displayed at U-Haul stores across the U.S. and Canada.

Restricted space was one factor in the decision to close Kar-Go Decal as U-Haul pursued other means to better meet its needs. U-Haul sometimes closes stores and other entities for reasons such as physical limitations; long-term strategic plans; shifts in demographics; trends in migration; expansion of its neighborhood dealer network; and the proximity to new or existing U-Haul stores and plants.
