U-Haul Adds Self-Storage in Milford with Apple Community Facility
MILFORD, Maine (June 1, 2017) — Local customer demand for more secure and affordable U-Haul self-storage has been met with the recent acquisition of a 10.69-acre property at 191 Bradley Road.
U-Haul Storage of Apple Community currently offers customers a variety of indoor and outdoor self-storage options with convenient U-Haul Remote 24/7® access. U-Haul upgraded the existing storage facility with an automated gate system and will be adding RV, boat and vehicle storage spaces.
“U-Haul Moving & Storage at Stillwater Avenue is three miles from this new facility, and we have been looking to expand our services in the Milford community,” U-Haul Company of Maine president Jon Hynes said. “Our residents were being underserved. We are excited to be growing here to meet their needs.”
U-Haul began operations at the Bradley Road location, formerly Apple Community Storage, on May 1. The 43,181-square-foot facility was built in 2012.

“We are excited to be in Milford and even more excited to be able to reuse facilities instead of starting from scratch,” Hynes said. “This fits into our corporate adaptive reuse plan – one of the many sustainability programs U-Haul is proud to incorporate in its business model.”
The recent acquisition of the Apple Valley Community Self Storage facility was driven by U-Haul Company's Corporate Sustainability initiatives: U-Haul® supports infill developments to help local communities lower their carbon footprint. Our adaptive reuse of existing buildings reduces the amount of energy and resources required for new-construction materials and helps cities reduce their unwanted inventory of unused buildings.
