U-Haul Releases Plan for Newest Company Store in San Antonio
SAN ANTONIO (Aug. 16, 2017) — U-Haul acquired a five-acre property at 10681 W. Loop 1604 N. on July 25 and is in the process of finalizing details for a state-of-the-art facility to be constructed there.
U-Haul of Helotes currently offers U-Haul Truck Share 24/7?, trailers, moving supplies and towing equipment out of a temporary showroom. When construction is completed, customers will also have access to self-storage, U-Box portable moving and storage containers, professional hitch installation and much more.
The property will feature a four-story, 78,080-square-foot self-storage facility and 3,935-square-foot U-Box warehouse. Plans call for approximately 1,300 indoor climate-controlled self-storage rooms and 85 covered RV, boat and vehicle storage spaces.
“This property acquisition will give the west side of San Antonio a premium DIY moving and self-storage option,” said John Martinez, U-Haul Company of San Antonio West president. “Customers from Helotes used to have to drive across the city to find our services. It’s exciting to be able to accommodate these customers in their community.”

When this location is fully operational, Martinez expects to employ at least 25 Team Members. U-Haul will look to hire locally to promote job growth in the Greater San Antonio area.
