New U-Haul Facility to Address Self-Storage Demand in Waukee

WAUKEE, Iowa (Sept. 27, 2018) — A state-of-the-art moving and self-storage facility is coming together at 16200 E. Hickman Road thanks to U-Haul® Company’s acquisition of a 69,600-square-foot warehouse that last housed a Coca-Cola® Bottling Company distribution plant.

U-Haul Moving & Storage of Waukee opened its temporary showroom in January and is currently offering truck sharing, moving supplies and U-Box portable moving and storage containers. When the property is fully repurposed, it will offer approximately 900 indoor self-storage units with high-tech security features.

Dickson will maintain a staff of 10 Team Members when the facility is fully operational. U-Haul will look to hire locally to promote job growth within the Waukee community.
