Anthony Jones Named ADVP of District 20
LENOIR CITY, Tenn. (Oct. 8, 2018) — Anthony Jones has been promoted to area district vice president of District 20, which includes eight U-Haul marketing companies across Kentucky, Ohio and Tennessee.
U-Haul CEO Joe Shoen and Executive Vice President Frank D’Abarno made the announcement. Jones accepted his new role on Oct. 1.
As ADVP, Jones will oversee MCOs 769, 770, 771, 772, 773, 774, 869 and 928.
“I am eager to take on this new role and work with all the hard-hitting Team Members in District 20,” Jones said. “My hope is to continue the great success of District 20 and establish the camaraderie we had during my time as MCP of 764.”
Jones began his career in 2010 as a customer service representative at U-Haul Moving & Storage at 7 Mile & Livernois (754064) in Detroit. He went on to become general manager of that store and U-Haul Moving & Storage of New Center (754024), the former Nabisco building that set the standard for U-Haul adaptive reuse.
Jones was appointed MCP of 764, U-Haul Company of Central Indiana, in 2015.
“Anthony possesses considerable field experience and a proven track record,” D’Abarno said. “Under his leadership, the team in MCO 764 has moved into the top five in system profit rankings. MCO 764 also added two ground-up locations, three adaptive reuse conversions, and purchased over 100,000 square feet of existing storage to supplement our existing stores.”
