PHOENIX, December 19, 2013 - Angie DeWinter, a 28 year U-Haul team member has been named Vice President of U-Haul Human Resources at U-Haul International, Inc., replacing Butch Greer who will be retiring.

“Angie has excelled in all the jobs she has had at U-Haul International, Inc. and is highly respected by all team members,” Greer praised. “She is a great choice for this important role and will do an outstanding job in this position for many years to come.”

DeWinter began her career at U-Haul in 1985 as an accounting clerk and proved herself to be a role model and leader right from the start.  In 1986, she held the position as Payroll Supervisor, then in January 1989 became lead information auditor. DeWinter was then promoted to the position of supervisor of U-Haul Employment Benefits in December 1992…and in June 1999 she assumed the role of manager of U-Haul Medical Benefits, a position she held until 2007 when she was named director of U-Haul Human Resources Operations.

“Angie has a vast amount of experience in Human Resources and is extremely results oriented,” declared John “J.T.” Taylor, president, U-Haul International, Inc. “I know Angie to have a strong work ethic, a breadth of knowledge in the functions and operations of our Human Resources Department and compassion for team members throughout the U.S. and Canada. I am confident that she will diligently foster a team environment and lead the Human Resources Team with enthusiasm and energy.”

“A significant portion of my U-Haul career was overseeing benefit operations where I found myself helping team members with their personal needs, which was very rewarding,” expressed DeWinter.  “There are times when we just need to listen and other times provide guidance or options when asked for advice. I have always tackled each day with a service-oriented philosophy. I am excited about stepping into the role of vice president, exploring ways we can build on the strong foundation in place today and applying this philosophy to more effectively serve U-Haul team members.”
