Meet John Hairston, Marketing Company President of U-Haul Company of Northern Georgia

MARIETTA, Ga. (Mar. 25, 2014) – John Hairston has been named president of U-Haul Company of Northern Georgia. As president, it will be Hairston’s duty to oversee all operations, including truck, trailer and storage rentals. Using his U-Haul knowledge plus his experience and determination, Hairston has big plans to boost his company’s success.

“I’m excited to be able to work alongside a dedicated staff,” Hairston expressed. “We have the know-how and determination to get the job done. I plan to build on our strengths through continued professional development and team member engagement.”

Hairston began his U-Haul career in June 2008. He has held roles as general manager (GM) trainee and GM for both U-Haul Company of Northern Georgia and U-Haul Company of Western Georgia. In May 2010, Hairston was promoted to area field manager (AFM) for U-Haul Company of Western Georgia, the position he held until his recent promotion.

As MCP, Hairston has goals to increase storage occupancy by providing customers with the best products and services in the industry while implementing higher goal-setting with centers and dealerships. The programs U-Haul has in place have kept the company successful for many years and Hairston believes that his team will continue that tradition.

Expanding the U-Haul business is on the horizon for Hairston. He is ready to accept the challenge of locating new areas for growth opportunities, including growing the U-Haul dealer network.
