U-Haul Company of New Mexico Expands Operations in Rio Rancho

RIO RANCHO, N.M. – (Sept. 30, 2014) Formerly Debonis Storage and RV, U-Haul Moving and Storage of West Rio Rancho has opened its doors for business. This facility is located at 1101 Veranda Drive and consists of five one-story self-storage buildings on 5.74 acres of land.

Although there is still work to be done to bring this facility up to U-Haul Company standards, a lot of improvements have already been made to better serve the community. This location will have increased security, along with clean and easy access to storage units. Preliminary plans call for a two-story self-storage building containing a retail showroom and hitch bays to be constructed on the northern portion of the property.

Sabrina Montoya, general manager of U-Haul Moving and Storage of West Rio Rancho, is excited about meeting local residents and visitors to the area, and providing them with the convenience U-Haul offers to do-it-yourself movers. Her team is looking forward to relieving the stress of customers who are moving and make it easier on them to get all their moving and storing needs satisfied in one place.

“This is a growing community and I am honored to be able to say that our U-Haul Team will be experiencing this growth with our customers,” Montoya explained. “I like to think of our location as a one-stop shop. We have boxes, packing material and other moving supplies, along with truck and trailer rentals, self-storage and RV parking. The acquisition of Debonis Storage and RV was driven by U-Haul Company’s Corporate Sustainability initiatives: U-Haul supports infill development to help local communities lower their carbon footprint.
