U-Haul Expands Moving and Self-Storage Operations to Peterborough, Ontario

PETERBOROUGH, Ontario (Oct. 14, 2014) – Situated on the bank of the Otonabee River, U-Haul Moving and Storage of Peterborough is now open for business. With its close proximity to Trent University and Fleming College, U-Haul Moving and Storage of Peterborough will provide added convenience to students moving to and from the area.

Located at 900 Water Street, this formerly vacant facility features 45,908 square feet of building space on 3.41 acres of land. U-Haul Moving and Storage of Peterborough offers a full line of truck and trailer rentals, as well as moving supplies and U-Box moving and self-storage containers. Early plans for this center include the addition of self-storage.

“This facility is in a great location and will provide moving and self-storage products to the city of Peterborough,” said Antony Grocott, marketing company president of U-Haul Company of Eastern Ontario. “This city has a lot of potential and we look forward to building a lasting relationship with residents and students coming to the area.”

The opening of U-Haul Moving and Storage of Peterborough was driven by U-Haul Company’s Corporate Sustainability initiatives: U-Haul supports infill development to help local communities lower their carbon footprint. Our adaptive reuse of existing buildings eliminates the amount of energy and resources required for new-construction materials and helps local cities diminish their unwanted inventory of unused buildings.
