U-Haul Offers 30 Days Free Self-Storage to Mississippians After Floods
JACKSON, Miss. (Sept. 28. 2015) — U-Haul Company of Mississippi is offering 30 days of free self-storage and U-Box container usage to residents affected by the severe storms and flooding to hit Jackson County, Harrison County and surrounding Gulf Coast communities over the weekend.
“We had seven inches of rain on the coast this weekend,” said Dick Porter, marketing company president for U-Haul Company of Mississippi. “This is a tough time for many Mississippians, and we want to assist in any way possible. We hope that dry, safe and secure storage at no cost to the customer will help those who need support in Jackson and Harrison County.”
Families needing more information about the 30 days free self-storage assistance should contact the participating U-Haul facilities:

U-Haul stores have much-needed supplies available to help with storm recovery, such as boxes, tarps, propane and propane tanks. U-Haul urges customers to stop in to ensure that their propane tanks are topped off, since propane is good to have on hand in the event of long-term power outages.
With U-Box portable moving and self-storage containers, you can conveniently pick up our custom-designed trailer and take your U-Box container with you. U-Haul also can store your U-Box container in our secure warehouses or even pick up and deliver it to a location of your choice.
In addition to the 30 days free self-storage assistance being offered, people who need boxes can take advantage of the U-Haul Take a Box, Leave a Box Program. The program enables customers to return their reusable boxes and allows others to take them as needed – FREE. U-Haul encourages anyone who has any type of reusable box to drop it off at the nearest U-Haul location and allow another family to reuse the box.
