U-Haul Expands Storage Footprint in Baton Rouge with New Store

BATON ROUGE, La. (March 25, 2016) — U-Haul is serving up a variety of new storage options on the northeast side of Baton Rouge with the acquisition of a former A Storage for U facility at 8415 Greenwell Springs Road.

U-Haul Moving & Storage at Greenwell Springs Road features 10 buildings with 60,000 square feet of storage space. Customers have access to 346 outdoor drive-up storage units and 136 indoor units, including 50 climate-controlled units. The U-Haul store also offers truck and trailer rentals, towing equipment, moving supplies, boxes and more.

“With the U-Haul leadership, name brand and dedication to the success and growth of our Team Members and facilities, I have no doubt this location will rocket to success,” U-Haul Company of Southern Louisiana president Patrick Allen said. “Before U-Haul took over this property, we had only 55 U-Haul-owned storage units in Baton Rouge. This acquisition now truly puts us in the storage business here.”

Stationed just eight miles from Louisiana State University’s campus, U-Haul now presents LSU students with a convenient location to safely store their belongings between semesters when they return home or change residences.

Numerous upgrades are being completed at the facility.
