U-Haul Offers Blue Cut Fire Victims 30 Days Free Self-Storage, U-Box in San Bernardino County
SAN BERNARDINO, Calif. (Aug. 17, 2016) — U-Haul Company of San Bernardino is offering 30 days of free self-storage, U-Box container usage, and RV storage to residents of San Bernardino County and surrounding areas who have been evacuated from their homes or need to move belongings away from the Blue Cut fire.
U-Haul is offering free self-storage at two U-Haul-owned and -operated storage facilities while there is availability.
“We want to offer our support to the people who are being affected by this disaster,” said Thomas Mitchell, U-Haul Company of San Bernardino president. “At this point, the fire is uncontained and there is smoke everywhere. It’s like a scene from a movie. There have been more than 82,000 people evacuated and over 34,000 acres burned. Multiple homes and structures have burned, so we would like to offer help to the families in our community.”
