U-Haul releases The 2007 Top 50 U.S. Destination Cities Report

U-Haul Names AtlantaAs Top 2007 Destination

PHOENIX (April 3, 2008) — U-Haul, America’s number one choice for do-it-yourselfmovers, today released results of the 2007 U-Haul National MigrationTrend Report, titled “The 2007 Top 50 U.S. Destination Cities Report.” Accordingto moving data reflective of nationwide statistics for calendar year 2007, Atlantatakes the No. 1 spot, while Chicago takes second place, moving up from the No.4 rank last year. Orlando, Fla. ranked No. 3, while Philadelphia came in at No. 4.Los Angeles followed in fifth place, down from the No. 1 spot on last year’sranking. Baltimore, Detroit, Houston, Denver and Jacksonville, Fla. rounded outthe top 10.

The ranking reflects destinations for movers traveling more than 50 miles, andconsiders every city in the country, regardless of size. However, the data is notstated as a percentage of population and is not reflective of overall growth.The 2007 Top 50 U.S. Destination Cities Report was compiled from over 1.61million U-Haul truck transactions occurring between Jan.1 and Dec. 31, 2007.
