Living in San Antonio

The City of San Antonio is the 7th largest city in the United States with a population of about 1.4 million people. The city is home to several military bases or facilities along with six fortune 500 corporations. Whether you’ve just got off the I-35, I-10 and moved to SA or you’ve just finished unloading the moving truck  you may be curious about your new home: San Antonio. Here are some tips for living in San Antonio:

Transportation

San Antonio has been ranked as one of the top Bike Friendly cities with Bcycle’s bike borrowing stations throughout the city. You may also choose mass transit by bus and rubber tired streetcar. Amtrak has a station in San Antonio for those out of town travel plans.

Entertainment

There is no shortage of things to for you to do in SA. Home to SeaWorld San Antonio, Six Flags Fiesta Texas, River Walk, and of course The Alamo.

Sports

One thing is for sure. Spur’s fan are die hard and you might want to pick up the silver and black as your favorite colors in this NBA town. There are other sports teams such as the WNBA Stars, American Hockey League Rampage, North American Soccer League Scorpions, and the Arena Football League Talons to cheer on as well! Go Spurs Go!

Food

Tacos and Tex-Mex, that is all you need to know about food in San Antonio. Seriously though – San Antonio does have a robust assortment of offerings from German bakeries, wineries, French bistros and Italian trattorias! Take a stroll on the River Walk for an assortment of restaurants.

San Antonio has a diverse culture and offers so much for someone to do and see. So, enjoy the tacos!
