UHaul needs to make sure people doing longer rentals were their driving hundreds of miles have trucks with cruise control. The truck itself sucked, crank windows, No Cruise Control, Hold Style headlights you can hardly see anything unless your high beams are on all the time. Not rental places fault. The office manager refused for months to fix the leaking in my unit. I lost 3000.00 $ in heirlooms and Christmas decorations due to extreme mold, dampness, and mice. The mice chewed everything they could get into. I repacked what was salvageable, into lock tite containers, but items that were storable, but not packable, like my wooden antiques became moldy and ruined. I have pictures of this distruction, and had the owner come in and view the damage and water all over the floor. He promised to fix the leaks, and never did a thing about the leaks. He only had a worker use a leaf blower to blow leafs out of the gutters. He charged me 120$ a month rent, while others with the same size unit pay 60$ to 80$ a month for the same size units. When I found out from the other unit renters of the price difference I complained. I have a voice recording of the managers response where I'm told" Hey, that was the original aggreement"....well..why was I targeted at a higher price than others? Especially for a wet, mouse infected unit. The evidence has been recorded and date tagged as this problem persisted. I am now considering a small claims court action through my family lawyer to be compensated for irreplaceable items due to the negligence of the storage unit manager. I and my family members continually tried to work this out with Robert Jones, but he insisted on payments and no compensation for my lost heirlooms. A worker of his burned what was ruined that I had placed in back of my unit, and he is a witness to this fact. I would like a representative of your company to actually go to that address and check out the road front units and their delapadated rain spouts that leak above every unit door, especially during heavy rain and melting snow. Perhaps your company can come to an agreement with me b4 a legal step for compensation for my irreplaceable family heirlooms is persude? I have lost, family photos, family generational Christmas and holiday decor which was passed down through generations, antique furniture, countless artwork, due to mold. I will never recommend this facility to anyone, it is bad business to deal with this facility and a manager who will not do his part to keep it in good condition for safe, clean, dry storage ...which is what customers expect for their items. I originally rented my unit in the dry part of the year, hence no evidence of leaks was present at that time. So all this being said, you need to investigate those premises now, not after you let him know I have told you the truth about that road front unit building. The leaks was dripping on myself and my helper as we were moving my stuff out, soaking our hats and heads from melting snow water right above the door from the unsealed rain gutters. Again, I have pictures of all my accusations and voice recordings of the manager refusing to do the right thing. This report has been screened shot for evidence of my report. It would be great when you reserve a truck and when the question is asked , can you tell me what the TOTAL amount will be , to tell the customer the TOTAL amount including I g all of U Hauls hidden fees. I was quoted 299.00 . Then the u haul agent said she would drop the price to 285.00. With 256 miles free. For a 10 ft truck. Pick up on Saturday drop off on Monday. One way reservation. She did explain the gas would need to be filled back to same as pick up amount. Was charged 361.00 + 12.00 +30.00 When I didn't want any of these extras !!!!!! I'm very upset I had to pay this amount and come to find out this wasn't even my truck. It was for a RyanRein of Mason Ohio a 20 foot truck to top off. To be dropped off at Sharonville Ohio I picked mine up at Washington Pa drop off Bellefontaine Ohio. I deserve a part refund for this rental. I was over charged . The assistant was nice and helpful but the facilities were fairly sketchy. The vehicle was clean but the key was bent and hard to get out. Also the gas gauge wasn't Set properly. The assistant was helpful in getting that fixed. I was not happy that there were extra fees associated with the rental that were listed on the website or when we called in. set properly. This location is in the middle of nowhere run out of an old quonset hut. I was referred here by uhaul scheduling after I was told that there were no 6x12 trailers in the Morgantown area. When I called to confirm their hours, I told them that I needed a hitch ball plate. He said they had them. When I got there, he sold me a used plate with the ball on it for $22. It took a half an hour to put on the safety chains, which he ended up using 2 c hooks from Harbor Freight that he charged me $2 each for to connect the chains. I also wanted the safe haul insurance that they opted me out of. I had left the place before I noticed the contract saying I was opted out, but couldn't go back as they had already closed. I called uhaul 800 number and was informed that they could not modify the contract to add the insurance. The agent told me that she sent an email to the location, but they never called me back. They were nice folks, but definitely not the most adept at accomplishing what needed to be done.Karl M.

Supposed to be able to drop off trailer anywhere in Florida. The first place said they don't accept trailers, had a few words there. She called a second place, they won't accept trailer because they are full plus they were going to charge double because we weren't going to take it home with us. Never will I deal with Uhaul again. My pickup location was changed without prior notification. The van I selected was not available so I had to take what was available. A ten foot box truck without a ramp. The only things I can that are positive the owner called and told me about the change just before I left my house for the pickup point I originally selected. The truck he gave me was clean and in great shape. It all worked out but required a lot more work on my part with no ramp. Overall I was disappointed with U-Haul.Edward T.

Nothing was working with my reservation. The computer system wasn't working. The gentleman was completely confused, and had no idea how to fix anything. He was super nice and trying to be helpful, but I left not knowing how much I was paying and I went from a one way rental to having to return the vehicle. I reserved the trailer in Waynesburg PA. I was notified 2 days prior to pickup that I had to go to Washington PA 30 miles away to get the trailer. This was unacceptable, but I had no choice since Uhaul waited until the last minute to inform me they had no trailers in Waynesburg. I would have chosen another company.
