The login process via mobile was a bit strenuous. I was sent a text to upload drivers licence, which I did a few days prior to pickup, and was asked again on the date of pickup to do it again. I was also asked to verify my person through a secondary piece of id (such as passport or another person) but was on site already with passport at home. Also, my vehicle did not come with the furniture dolly or furniture pads I requested (I uploaded an image at time of pickup). Overall my experience was fine and this is not a formal complaint - just more of a mention.William B.
Making sure the Uhual is clean and inspected before people pick up. I was just given the keys and sent on my way without a walk around of the truck. Cab of uhual had garbage all in it when I picked it up. Uhaul was at 1/8 tank of fuel when I had picked it up in the morning and when I returned the truck with the same amount of fuel as I received it at, I was told that I had to fill the truck up with another $90. Not sure what this review will do but some kind of compensation would be greatly appreciated. Thank youCameron H.

The truck reeked of cigarette smoke! It was a cold day. I wasn't able to roll the windows down so just had to put up with it. So glad I only needed it for a short period of time.Jacqueline D.

The inside of the van smelled like cat urine. The touch surfaces of the van interior were not clean. The photos of the van with repeat to previous damage was not accurate at check-inMICHAEL M.

Please see my previous comments. Do not book pickup times when the location is unable to accomodate them. Advise locations to contact customers in advance (not 4 hours before they close) if there are problems with their site. Make sure that locations are provided appropriate lock boxes to accomodate after hours pickup. U-Haul customer line time estimates are completely wrong. I was on the phone waiting for 45+ minutes while it said I would be speaking to someone in 9 minutes. Please provide accurate times to clients.Bushra A.

There was garbage left in the driver's area by the previous user - candy wrappers, coffee cup etc including a used mask in the passenger side door. Particularly during covid, this was unexpected and gross. The original cargo van we booked wasn't available, so we were upgraded at no charge. But that reservation change process took a half hour and was not able to be done contactless. Overall, not the best experience, though not the worst either.KERRIL W.

They way overcharged me for gas when I didn't fill a few liters they charged me 30 L!CATHERINEL M.
They lied and upsold me on the truck.. Said no 10' cube vans available, only the 15's and up.. They had 3 10' cubes on site all day.. Truck cab hadn't been swept out, crap left in the dash and cup holders.. Cab smelt funky. Truck didn't have a dolly cart in the back. Had to park on the road upon return.. The parking is terrible. We reserved a 15' foot truck almost two months in advance of our move out date. We were notified 4 days prior that our truck had been down graded to a 10' truck due to unavailability/overbooking. No other locations had 15' trucks to reserve that close to the date. The fact that you aren't guaranteed the vehicle you book baffles me. By law, we needed to be moved out of our rental apartment by July 1st. We had no choice but to have to make two trips between Toronto to London in one day in order to get our stuff out of the apartment to our new place as a result of the truck being too small (not what we ordered). I risked my life and others lives having to make those two trips on the road - fighting exhaustion while driving. I will do everything in my power to encourage people not to use Uhaul and I will never use this service again. But it doesn't matter, UHaul could care less, their front line employees take the brunt of all these disgruntled customers, and they continue to maintain market share in Canada. This was the worst experience I've had with a company in my life.Scott A.

I had booked a dolly and it was not in the truck when we arrived. The representative said another customer had booked it. What makes their booking more important than mine? Your booking system should match your inventory. We had to drive to another uhaul location and wait around to get a dolly. The truck was also not in good condition, we had about 6 hours of driving and hot air from the motor was blowing with such crippling intensity from the passenger side that we literally became ill.Amir Mohammad A.
I had an accident and went to collision reporting centre and they asked for the ownership and the insurance document. when I was looking for the owner book and the insurance, they don't have any inside the glove box. Because of that I couldn't get a coalition report number. Vehicle was disgustingly dirty inside. Given Covid measures I was extremely disappointed. The personnel at the location were very friendly but the condition of the equipment being rented was unbelievably frustrating.Christopher V.
Simplify the mobile check in/pick up so that the individual settings of the mobile device do not have to be changed. The vehicles are driving really terribly and don't have even the minimum convenience features such as air conditioning or - more importantly - safety features like connectivity to a cellphone. The truck was dirty. Lots of dried mud in the passenger unit from a previous customer that had not been cleaned. The storage part of the truck also had not been cleaned. No loading dollies or packing blankets were provided, both of which would have been useful.S L.

This was a bad experience. Super sketchy pick up location, 4 of 6 furniture pads were soaked, the bumper was dented and the representative just said don't worry about it.IANROBERT D.

Not given any paperwork, truck was on empty, had to buy gas asap, then charged $50 for gas when truck was returned! Said repeatedly that I was not prepared to drive an hour farther north to return truck, and was not certain of being able to get a ride back to London, yet drop off was still set as Owen Sound! The shop keeper is lies, I made reservations online I did not select safe move , when he started to enter my license he selected safe move and without giving me receipt he ask me we have stop printing receipts. Therefore I couldn't find out what he has made changes to my booking . I believe this type of cheating dont suites your type of company. I hope some action must be taken this location . I was suprised to see that this location only had 3 stars given that it is merely a convenience store. However after struggling with the UHaul app, we decided to go inside and see if they could help. They were fantastic. Very friendly, quick with solutions and had on our way both at pick-up and drop-off. I would definitely recommend this location for anyone who needs the trucks that they can supply. their one drawback might be space, but even here they seem to have enough for even the medium sized trucks.James J.
Please do not give less than a full tank of gas because it's impossible to figure it out to bring it to the odd levels. It's almost a scam. Another one is retrofit all your vehicles with back up Cameras it's not expensive and it will enhance safety multifoldRakesh B.

Terrible customer service. Bad communication. Lazy employees. Will never use this location again for U-haul. The employee working at pick up was better than the employee working at drop off. The drop off employee was not friendly at all and very rude to us. Both employees seemed distracted and disinterested in the U-haul side of the business. I would probably avoid U-haul altogether after this experience. Running a U-haul business out of a convenient store is probably not a good idea.Daniel M.
