Took us over an hour. I was never sent the code. Another lady came she had trouble returning hers. I called and spoke to a manager and she told me to figure it out and hung up on me. I have never had worse customer service than thisCharlina G.
Better customer service. The operator at the hondo/Uvalde location was not just a terrible customer service rep but a terrible human being, pure nasty evil. Pay people a good wage so you can have quality applicants. Do not pass those costs onto consumers or you will not have profits at all as everyone will just choose to not use you. God I can't wait for something to outcompete this ancient industry. The middle manager of the central Texas region did resolve the issue and I hope the hondo/Uvalde rep got what they had coming to them.eric C.
Self drop-off at this location was a little inconvenient since I could not get the gps to find the location but reps from uhaul were very helpful by phone.Craig I.

I would not recommend because I actually tried to rent a truck and they were not helpful. I also feel like I was taken advantage of because what I ended up having to pay for this truck. We had the truck for all of 25 hours and I paid over $200 and refilled the gas tank! I think that is unacceptable. Rant over!Charlyn B.

Unattended site. was told to complete drop off online but app continued to fail to upload the required photos. Used wife's phone (same model and age iPhone SE) and logged in and it finally allowed me to check out all in all 30 min.Henry W.
Vehicles are not being checked closely based on what o saw. The box door on the rear wouldn't lock. The left door wire was extremely tight and the right one was loose which prevented the door to close evenly to allow easy locking .LAURO V.

My rental request was entered wrong. I requested 48 hours, and was given a price. I got a phone call the following morning asking where the rental was, because the attendant only entered it for one day. I informed them that was incorrect, and they were extremely rude. I then had to pay an additional fee on top of what I was already quoted. I asked for the record to show that I was unhappy and given the wrong information, and again, was spoken to very rudely. I would rather drive to the next closet U-haul rental company an hour away then ever use this company again.leah B.
Truck was out of gas dirty inside and out and the gas cap was missing. The tow dolly we were rented wasn't there so we had to get one from another location causing us to miss an important family event. This was a terrible experience!David M.

Even though I tried to returning it right after lunchtime (1:45pm), there was no one there. I called the number listed on the door for the Mgr but got only a voicemail and no one ever returned my call. I called the nearby Reno Rental in Uvalde, TX and the lady said the guy in Hondo was at lunch. She said she would call him. Nothing. I finally had to disconnect and roll the trailer under a tree. Poor customer service (actually, NO customer service.).BARRY LYNN P.
The person at the store gave me the wrong 26 foot truck, not the one they put on my contract, and I returned my truck to the one way location which I paid for and was charged a $22 fee for returning the truck at the wrong location. Besides it taking over 90 minutes to return the truck it was a disappointing experience overall using uhaul.Brandon A.

It would be nice if someone was there during working hours. We called from 9am till 4pm every hour on the hour to reserve a unit. NO one ever answered the phone. I just showed up at 4:15 and still no one. Had to call another store to reserve/rent the trailer. There were other customers on site also complaining there is NEVER anyone there and they always have to call the Uvalde store for service. No one to show you use of what you are renting, trailers not locked could just take it if not an honest person. Absolutely the poorest customer service ever. Uvalde store, they are great and were very helpful!SHELLY C.

For the 3rd time now; a flat tire on the trailer. I'm not sure why this is such a consistent issue. I suppose we can say that this is something that has 100% performance- a flat tire with every rental. Our trailer had a complete blow out 30 minutes into our trip. No more than 30 miles. It was a terrible situation as we found ourselves on the side of the highway in rush hour traffic. Thank God for the quick service of the local tire company. This is an issue. We were not speeding, We did not exceed the weight limit (4400lbs for us). I am not sure why this problem continues to happen to me, but I anticipate I am not alone. We are in a time when speed limits are increased exponentially from the recommended 55MPH on the trailer. We were traveling 30 MPH slower than traffic on the highway. Unacceptable in my opinion. We have always had great service from u-haul. Please fix the trailer tire issue.DAVID W.

The owner Lauren is the most courteous and professional individual that I have had the pleasure of dealing with in a long time. Unfortunately I was frustrated and upset when we spoke but it allowed me to witness her outstanding customer service and ability to maintain her professionalism in that kind of scenario. Agent at the location was very nice. Location is not very nice but then I understand this is Hondo I did the express check in. I called 3 hours prior to arrival and spoke to the agent in charge and confirmed that I would be there at 12:00 noon Arrived at 12:00 noon and the trailer that I was to use was not available since the agent took off a tire for another customer that had a flat earlier in the day. He did receive in another trailer for me to use however it took over an hour to get all the paperwork processed for trading out the trailers. With over 15 trailers in their yard I wonder why he took a trailer off of the original trailer that I was to use? Very disappointed in the way this was handled.Fred B.

The staff were extremely helpful AND professional at the dual purpose facility. About 1/2 mile from their location my vehicles transmission locked up. The manager arranged for a moving van instead of my planned enclosed trailer. I dropped off after hours then returned the next business day to have my vehicle towed from their Uhaul facility. There was an error between the original contract and ending receipt that took hours to resolve with multiple phone calls and emails. I would recommend this facility due to the onsite staff. I was charged for 70 miles that I did not drive, the truck had dents and scratches on it that were not previously noted. When I tried to upload the the dents and scratches before using the truck the uhaul app wouldn't upload photos for me to provide proof that I wasn't the one who damaged the vehicle. They are trying to use technology to make things easier when it just over complicates things and constantly causes issues.RYAN O.
