TO MANAGEMENT, I rented for the second time from you folks and my second time I feel your two young guys weren't forthright in my return with them. What does that mean? Upon the return of your pickup truck, a few hours later, I forgot, my fault, to replenish the used fuel. The first young guy said, oh we will have to charge you $30, because we charge like $9 a gallon. I said I would go down the street a mile and fuel it myself. Now granted, I never looked at the fuel gauge when I accepted the vehicle from the young lady hours earlier. I averaged almost 18 miles to the gallon in my 52 miles, so I put $20 or 3.5 gallons. It did not budge the fuel gauge to my surprise. Upon the return, the 2nd young man said I will have to charge you for 2 gallons more of fuel. I showed him my fuel receipt and he said, I am sorry, but U-haul policies are their policies. Not being happy with the fact that my math says I covered the trip, I just left. I believe, in principle, U-haul has to inform their two young guys to better understand company policy. Their stories conflicted and maybe I would have chosen a different conclusion. I am not sure why they had to get so petty for a few hours of usage of your truck which was back on line for another rental, It isn't so much the $15 as it is the principle of it. We have rented from this location many times in the past. The location is under construction and the office is in a small trailer . I picked up the U-Haul and it had less than 3/8 tank of gas. The windshield was so dirty I could barely see through it and the floor and drink Consol were very dirty as well. I took pictures and I am waiting to hear back from customer service.Karen W.
I wanted to pick a truck up the night before I needed it so that I could start early and â€œget a jump on the heatâ€. I was told that i could use the 24/7 feature and pick it up at 5:30 am. So I tried. I drove for over an hour to get to the facility. When I tried to pick up the truck I was told that there was an error with my reservation. So I went to â€œlive chatâ€. Thirty-nine minutes later I still had not talked with anyone. I received a text that informed me that my chat had expired and my reservation was canceled. I had to make another reservationâ€¦for 9:00am. I finally picked up my dirty truck with broken a/c and squealing brakes at 9:20am. We were finally able to start the move almost 4 hours after we had planned. Never again.Deborah S.

I have rented her several times. First, self appointment took 45 minutes to verify. When I went to secure the vehicle, uhaul wanted another form of ID (in addition to my picture and drivers license). Why wasnt this requested when I made the appointment? Second, vehicle was unlocked in a well know homeless area, had trash, and smelled like pot.Ken C.

Fix your app to clearly show that when you reserve something that you need to be there within and hour of the time chosen. There is nothing on the confirmation or do I recall anything that clearly states this when going through process of reviewing. When you give a card to hold there is an expectation you will get what you reserved; especially since the confirmation talks about cancelling. This is bad service and I was forced to pay for a larger trailer because didn't arrive within an hour and they let someone else take. Very badEdgar S.

my prepaid reservation had been canceled. The pick up location did not spend too much effort trying to fix the mistake . I had to call uhaul in the parking lot . The representative said there was a one way trailer available at the pick up location ( though the representative at the pickup location told me there was nothing available for me) I would have rather driven to another location for a trailer but, I was under a time restraint.Thomas P.

the system was partially down when we were down to pick up the truck. The contract wasnt printed out, just emailed. I was not alerted to bring the truck back with the same amount of gas as when i picked up. the gas tank was already less than a quarter tank. i did replenish what i used, but when i returned the truck, the person working told me i was going to be charged for a refuel fee and another fee on top of that. thankfully he let me take the truck to fill up, but if i was alerted in the beginning about the fuel, i would have done that previously before returning. Just felt like better walking through the contract with the important pieces versus just emailing it to and making sure i got it and sending me on my way, would have been better.Katrina R.

We had a hiccup picking up our rental. The first truck we were assigned, had a low tire light on. They assigned a second that was buried behind other trucks, had the locks cut, & keys weren't in it. Third times a charm! It had taken almost an hour by the time we left. We had uploaded all our information online at the time of reservation to help have a smooth pick up. However, the truck was perfect for our needs, the price was good, & the rest went smoothly. I'm local to the area & have used this location several times over the years. I've never had any major issues. Things have gone fairly well each time. I hope they are able to keep the same level of service as they expand. I'm pleased to see this location getting a new facility.William F.

I understand daily operations can be difficult when construction is happening, but the intake / outtake process at this facility needs some attention. They were assigning out trucks that had other trucks parked in front of them / blocking them in. Employees in the office were super friendly and helpful, but the overall process can be much smoother.Gavin O.

Complete nightmare. Rude staff that didn't spend any time with me explaining anything or answering any of my questions, all but kicked me out of the office, unwilling to help me so I had to go wandering around the lot looking for help, the lot was a mess because of construction which made it hard to get back at the end of the day and the lady checking me out tried to double charge me, snapped at me and was so incredibly rude I couldn't believe it. Overall terrible service. That's on top of them reserving and charging me for a box and then telling me the Friday before that oops, we â€œmay notâ€ have a box for you (that I had already paid for) which left me scrambling.
