I returned the gas exactly as when received and I was told by the clerk that it wasn't. At the time my phone had died so I was not able to prove my case. I was assured that the truck I was renting would be available at another location and it wasn't. The truck I ended up with was in a bad condition. The key lock was hanging out the door (I could not lock or unlock the door from the passenger side). The gas cap was broken and the light was on continousley for 1200 miles which made it impossible to see any other warning lights or the odometer. The AC would shot off periodicly during the trip and the brakes were quite soft.Margie K.

I called U-Haul directly to find out what location I could pick up my keys before hours so that I could start moving at 7am. They told me this location. Then I get a call from U-Haul 2 days before moving day saying this location doesn't have the option to pick up keys before hours. They told me they were changing my scheduled time from 9a-5p instead of 7a-3p. I was fine with that. Then I go to pick up my keys at 9am on moving day, and Francis told me I have to have the truck back by 3p. I explained to her that I was told I could have the truck back by 5p. Then she started being rude to me and threatened me saying if I couldn't have the truck back by 3pm then she wouldn't allow me to have the truck. The proper response from someone with good customer service would have been â€œSir I'm sorry for the mistake and misinformation my company has provided, I apologize for the inconvenience, let me see what I can do for youâ€ but instead she tries to get all defensive with me shaking her head side to side with an attitude. To top it off, I was told that if I don't fill the gas tank up back to 3/4 where it was when I rented the truck, that I would be charged all this extra money. So when I was filling the truck up, with the key turned slightly so that I could see where the needle was on the gas tank, the needle never moved, and I ended up filling the truck up to full instead of back to 3/4. The needle never moved to full until I drove the truck for 5 more miles. And after being threatened with extra fees for gas if I didn't fill it back to 3/4, I was told there would be no compensation for me accidentally filling the truck up, due to the gas needle on the dashboard not displaying the correct amount of gas. Horrible experience! Francis needs to be terminated or taught a good lesson on customer service. She needs to be taught accountability instead of being rude. And the needle on the truck I drove is not functioning properly so customers should be made aware of that. And lastly I should be compensated for giving your company free gas.Chris F.

Verify that you're sending out a working truck. We were given a truck which broke down 3 times during our move, stranding us outside in the 100+ degree heat and rendering the truck absolutely useless for 6 hours of the 14 hours we had to move. Store left us on hold for multiple hours and hung up on us repeatedly when we tried to contact them for assistance. Said there was nothing that they could do unless the truck was "totaled and unfixable." I would give 0 stars if I could, and I'm certainly never using Uhaul ever again - I'll go to Budget or Enterprise next time.James L.

One of the worst experiences, everything seems like they are trying to help you but they are just wasting your time. I reserved a truck and trailer, took an hour to have them ready and trailer was supposedly down and was sent to a different to location to pick up the trailer in which they wasted another hour of my time for me to the trailer and from there i was made to drop off each item at separate locations even though it was my mistake and was never told that until i had wasted the extra hour to pick up the trailer which made me have to pay for 2 days of rental on each rental. One of the worst eperiences ever. Its cheap but not worth it when you consider your time and extra money you have to pay simply for waiting to have your pick up ready. If you have extra money to go with anyone else i would recommend that.Jonathan A.

I attempted to use uhaul.com. The site has major issues and badly needs to be update and properly maintained. Couldnt do self check in or make adjustments. Site would not pull up my reservation. TLDR; Do not recommend this location, save yourself and go somewhere else. I would not choose this facility again. I reserved my unit online, which was a very smooth process, but it was in person moving in where I learned what a mistake I had made. First, they tried to get out of the one month free rent (which I was due, given my one-way truck reservation through UHaul), and had to end up calling the manager (who was not on-site) to make sure that it was okay for them to give it to me. After confirming all of that, buying the lock for the storage unit, and going through the final booking for my unit, I was shown my unit and then informed that the access hours ARE NOT WHAT IS LISTED ONLINE. My access hours would actually be the location's office hours (7am-7pm Monday-Saturday and 9am-5pm Sunday, instead of the listed 5am-10pm). They changed their access hours sometime "in the last year or two due to multiple break-ins of their units". My representative repeatedly told me "I wouldn't put anything of value in your unit if I was you". After learning about that, I was informed that their access system was having difficulties, so I would not be able to use my key code to get into the storage building to access my storage unit. Instead, I would have to get the manager or another representative to open the storage building door for me each time I wanted in. When I asked when that issue would be fixed, my representative said he was unable to give me any sort of timeline (days? weeks? months?), only that they were working on it and it would "hopefully be fixed soon". My representative's code worked, and while we were talking about this, several other people were able to use their codes to access the building. Maybe it was because I have a new code? He was sure my code wouldn't work, but was unsure why, and it felt super shady. I tried my access code later, and sure enough it did not work. To top everything else off, the interior temperature of the building was sitting just above 90 degrees. There is a sign on the wall that shows a thermometer and says "For your comfort this storage area is kept between 65 and 85 degrees". It was cooler than the 102 degrees outside, but given I'm paying extra for a climate controlled unit, it would be really nice if they actually kept it within their stated acceptable temperature range. To sum up, I would absolutely not recommend this location to anyone. I was talked down to the whole time, and the whole interaction felt really shady. Also I would have chosen a different location had I known about the multiple break-ins of storage units! If I had known what I know now, I would not have gone here. UHaul Marketing attracts customers like me and others to use their services for transporting goods or moving items from home to home. I have nothing bad to say about the quality of their trucks or cargo vans but it's always cost me over $75 to use one of their trucks/vans for 2-3 hrs (<25 miles) I think it should be cheaper for quick, short, in town trips in my opinion, otherwise that is the only criticism I have of UHaul.Muntadar K.
The staff member who helped me check in the car carrier in order to be able to unload the truck was friendly and helpful. She referred me to her manager for the storage unit, but he initially wanted me to pay for a new 5*5 reservation rather than checking me in to the 5*10 one I reserved as part of the one way rental. When I told him one of the car carrier tie down straps was torn shorter than the other but the staff at the original U-Haul attached and tightened the short one for me, he rudely grilled me saying he was going to check and double check for any marks that he can attribute to me as an unreported accident and that the safemove insurance would not be valid if he could find a scratch. No, I didn't have any accidents in it, but we definitely left the side-view mirrors cleaner and better aligned than how they started out. Both the storage unit manager and my new apartment manager said that the U-Haul storage facility is in a bad neighborhood in terms of break ins.Daniel C. | First Impressions

Forgive the late fee if customer is late about 30 minutes. We were told the U-Haul system doesn't allow for overrides. So 30 minutes late, we pay a whole extra day of rental without access to the equipment because we are returning it and it's already rented to someone else. I called b speak to Mr Henry Guerra When I woman answered I told her my issue about me being charged over my mileage. She then put me on hold but before said she was getting someone to better assist me. Another girl got on the phone and was professional at first but then began to cut me off the. Telling me it was my fault o should have taken a picture of my mileage. Things got more rude then she put me on hold I hung up she kept calling me back finally when I answered I asked to speak to her supervisor she was arguing with me about that. She then got a man on the phone claiming to be a supervisor but wouldn’t give me his name so he hung up on me. Terrible experience! When I got to the Uhaul facility where I made my reservation, they told me my unit was no longer available. WHAT IS THE POINT OF A RESERVATION SYSTEM IF THE ONLINE RESERVATION IS NOT HONORED! I am lucky they were able to help me find another unit nearby although I am now paying more than I had initially intended to for a unit of the same size. Great staff, terrible reservation system. I am never recommending a uhaul storage unit to anyone and will never use uhaul storage or anything uhaul again. Moving is already a stressful experience, and finding out that the unit you reserved is no longer available when all your furniture is a truck in the parking lot is even more stressful . Improper mask usage. All workers either not wearing, or below nose. Constantly grabbing at center of mask with bare hands and touching everything from paperwork to cards being exchanged. Felt so uncomfortable, as I am moving due to losing family to COVID and and trying to be cautious when this made that impossible. Also given a unit that already had a lock on it and that caused even more issues. I would not recommend this location to anyone based on these actions and the manner workers presented themselves in. The tornado experience was horrible and sad. We had 3 unit’s effected, but the staff was great about helping with the clean out/ damage.
