The Location was great. Drop off and pick up was great. The truck however gets 1 star. A moving truck. With no cruise control. The floorboards get ridiculously hot on long drives. 1000 miles with no cruise control in a heavy truck is awful.

The Mundy St. Wilkes-Barre PA U-Haul store is quite possibly the best in the state. I have dealt with other U-Hauls in Pennsylvania over the years, both personally and professionally, i.e., with helping clients that I worked with move. Mr. Corey (sic) at that store is probably the best customer service person that I have ever dealt with in any businness or service. Thanks for all you do!!

The people working in this location are rude and act as though we should be honored if they allow you to rent from them. I cleared out my storage unit that I had for almost 10 years due to their rudeness. I filed a formal complaint and didn't hear anything back. Also, bought moving supplies from Lowe's today so as not to give them anymore of my business.

After waiting in the Allentown office for 1 1/2 hours and being told that they would not have a trailer to honor my rental confirmation, this was one of the worst experiences that I ever had. I reserved I trailer back in April for an out of state wedding that I was asked to DJ and needed an enclosed trailer. They tried to substitute an open trailer, or truck, and wouldnt waive the milage. After arguing that there was thousands of dollars invested in equipment at stake they finally found a enclosed trailer over an hour away that I had to pick up. Thank you to the Wilkes-Barre location for comming through on a trailer but I don't know if I will ever rent from this place again. The scheduling dept. and certain locations can not guarantee that you will have a truck or trailer at the requested location, evan after reserving 4 months in advance and going through all the confirmations and people that can't return equipment on time should be charged a penalty for being late.

First problem was that I asked for 4 dozen furniture pads and only 1 was available. And it really isn't uhaul's association, but I'm glad I was a long distance mover, because 6 hours would have doubled and half of the items would be outside or on the first floor. I believe that one of the guys worked as a mover for a week and the other guy never moved anything but a beer can in the last 20 years. Then to top it off they ask for a tip, saying that they believe that they did a good job. This rental was for my parents, they thought that this would be the most economical way to go since they didn't have very much to move. I would have paid for the company that I worked for and paid a couple hundred more.

Friendly, helpful and very convenient... rented a truck and storage unit in approx. 30-40 minutes, and thats after being shown the example units and upgrading our original order. Truck return after hours was very easy also... took 3 pictures and dropped keys in lockbox.

The pick up was hectic, because there we're no trucks near my starting city, and when you called the day before, you told me to go 40 miles away, and when I got there, there was no truck, and I was told to go another 20 miles away. It was a lot of wasted time.

The tires were very bad/cracking/balding mentioned to worker. Responded with sorry the person that changes tires isn't here today.. didn't do a walk around and check things I as customer took photos. Very nice crew just didn't seem interested in working but nice.. trailer made trip but not without stress a tire would blow out.. nice to rent but make sure you check things.. returned trailer again worker didn't check it.. but said all good. Just need more up to date checks and make sure is usable

We highly commend “Looney” Lisa. She was thorough and took time to help in any way she could. She gave us confidence in the equipment as she had done checks on it that am (we previously had a tire mishap with another Uhaul trailer). We arrived a few minutes before closing time and the young staff was unwilling to help us with return of equipment. So we had to do it online. That process worked ok but we were disappointed that they were not willing to stay or help us.

Ashley I believe her name was, she acted a bit stuck up, when I asked questions she tried to talk in circles like I was an idiot thinking she was slick. She had told me her words exactly if I return the truck with a certain amount of gas I will receive a refund of $75. When I had put $30 in the tank and went to get my refund she then lied and said I'll just be receiving a $5 refund. She then proceeded to say if I didn't fill it up I then would be charged $75 which she didn't say when I first went to pay for everything. It also stated in the paperwork I received and the screenshot I took from you that I would only have to pay $30 if I didn't fill up the tank to where you guys wanted. Either way she was deceitful, a but rude and your company and paperwork needs to get in order. As well as your training. I'm five months pregnant and I wasn't in the mood to go back and forth with her at that moment. I instead was going to contact HR regarding this bs. She also charged me for an amount of mileage unknown to me when she had asked me I told her I wasn't sure then looked it up to tell her. She had already put it in without waiting. This whole process was ridiculous and a waste of my money when I could've went to somewhere that wasn't uhaul and gotten more respect, better service, the products I actually wanted for a much MUCH cheaper price! I will be emailing this to an hr email and j do expect an email back.

I returned the truck with more gas than I left with. I just wanted to make sure everything was fine. Upon returning the truck, the employees said that I broke the tag for the hand truck which I didn't. I want to know their process of tagging and maintaining the equipment. The hand truck is not securely strapped in the truck. It is only secured by the security tag that I supposedly broke. I will be spreading this information. I got charged for something that I didn't use. I had just enough money for the box van that's why I didn't use the hand truck, now my account is overdrawn And when I brought it to the attention of the employee they shrugged their shoulders.

Was not informed, after making on-line reservation, that truck may not be available for pick up at the location we specified. It was not, had to drive 3 hours round trip to pick up,. Had no choice, needed that size truck, that day, They had us right where they wanted us, stuck and not able to cancel. Extremely frustrating.

I had no problem with the location or the people working there... The problem i had was with a 4 x7 trailer i rented .. I looked at the trailer and said to the person working that it didn't look like it was 4 feet wide she said it was she proceeded to show me the stickers on it that say 4x7 feet ..So I drove to where I had to go to load up what I was hauling it wouldn't fit ..U borrowed a tape measure and the deck was only 39.5 inches wide ... I had to pay the person to deliver what I want to pick up with a trailer that turned out to be useless

This truck wasn't as nice as others I've had the drivers door didn't shut seats didn't adjust and neither did the mirrors also it was hard to find in the lot - you should have a more obvious tagging / numbering system with numbered spots to pick up the trucks not find the truck number in a sea of uhauls

I reserved 4 hours and was given seven,but only needed 2 hrs. The only thing I didn't like was I had my son as the driver,he was running about 5 minutes late getting there,so I started the contract,the employee didn't want his drivers license or anything, glad we were accident free,they really need to make sure they get the drivers License,especially if it's someone other than the person renting the truck,and I made them very well aware of the fact that I was not driving it.we had to show his License in the past when he was the driver.

There was a wet spot in our storage unit, no lock was left behind like we were told so we then had to go get our own, and I’m very surprised there is no elevator or something to help move heavy things to the second floor.

Was told there were no units available so I drove several miles to another location. They went online and reserved a unit from the original location. Had to register twice because I lost the screen when I went to check a phone number. Was given a code but didn't explain how to use 2 different keypads. Eventually was given a swipe card to use. Was not told to ask for one. Eventually it all worked but more difficult than it needed to be.

Overall I would say 4.5 stars, Nothing is perfect so I don't do 5 stars and the businesses that get 4.9 stars from me, Not only do they have to be perfect their prices have to be shockingly low as well. I don't think your prices are extremely high but they certainly aren't extremely low either. All in all it is a very clean and well maintained facility and I feel confident that my belongings are safe in your care.

Uhaul is a deceitful company they play games with the customers I rented a truck and storage room but there never was any storage unit available so I am stuck with a truck full of contents from an apartment with no place to store them and no place to park the vehicle also I have to leave the other items in the home and forfeit them because we couldn’t unload the truck at storage and retrieve the rest of the furnishings we are loosing resources they sent me to two different storage places each had no storage unit but they gave me reservations For each of the storage facilities

rience with u-haul was fine. One suggestion: while working on cleaning out our unit, the lights went off every ten minutes or so because they work on motion detection. That left us in the dark until someone walked to the end of the aisle to make the light come back on. Perhaps these lights could stay on a bit longer?

Had my personal belongings in there for like 7 months an didn’t take insurance but was also not informed that the storage unit I rented would leak lots of water so when I decided to move out my belongings I came back to a broken glass table picture frames soaked boxes with my family’s personal belongings an a bed which paid almost 2000 dollars for chewed up by mice an mice crap on an in some of my belongings took pictures an thought about getting a lawyer for damage loss due to not being informed it had mice unit an mice crap plus my family stuff destroyed an my bed will never do business with them or u guys again an yes I’m gonna look into a lawsuit unless u guys reimburse me for all months paid in an pain an suffering for my losses an not informing me of the storage unit condition besides the fact I didn’t take storage unit insurance I know my rights an what u guys did or rented to me was wrong

My only complaint is thanks to Covid-19 lockdowns this year, it took a lot longer to sell my home than expected, but throughout the whole process you guys were great and I was able to got back into storage to retrieve the books and crafting supplies that helped keep us sane when we couldn't go anywhere.

I had a reservation for a unit, the staff was very friendly her name was Ashley, however you didn't have a unit for me. All of the units in the building had locks on the first floor but we're not taken out of inventory so I had to scramble and find another location for storage. I never got to move in. I don't know that I would ever use U-haul again. I had a horrible experience getting my truck in South Carolina where you have a remote location that can't pick up GPS running a 24/7 pickup. I then had to drive 49 minutes to the next location to pick up a truck 20 miles outside of my way period then the owner hit the truck off of the gutter coming out to deliver the truck to me. I really think there needs to be more reliability during this time when you're not going to have people at a location on a Friday to hand you keys. I will never use your 24/7, or your online reservation service again. I was extremely disappointed being that I've used U-Haul several times for moving in my past. My entire schedule got messed up because of inconsistency within the U-Haul system. This is a no reflection of Ashley she was very personable and very professional. She even offered to call your Kingston location but by that point I had just about had it and was trying to keep my composure. It was in my best interest to go outside of U-Haul for my storage unit.To say I was disappointed in your company, is an understatement.☹️

The only negative comment that I have is after the WIlkes-Barre Twp facility was damaged by a tornado, being a former police officer in that town, I know there was damage. Trying to get information on my unit was very difficult. Nobody from uhaul reached out to me. It took several days and multiple phone calls to determine all my contents were in fact safe.

The staff here goes above and beyond! I cannot recommend them enough. Ashley and Christian were incredible, I had my car out at their storage facility for a year I wasynt sure if my car would start after sitting so long so they went out and tried it for me before I got there preventing me from having to go back to get a new battery or jumper cables after finding out on my own. Saving extra Uber costs and time. Thank you guys for everything.

units that are supposed to be “ground level” actually have about a 6 inch lip. ground in front of units has not been paved so it is difficult to roll heavier items into unit. office was no help and did not even have ramps to accommodate.
