If a vehicle is unavailable at the destination selected, the reservation should make this very clear at the start instead of telling customers after they have already made the reservation. The app should also verify user information ahead of time instead of forcing users to input contacts for verification when they are standing on the lot trying to pick up the vehicle. Setting up my profile in the app was very frustrating and the fact that I only found out the day before the rental that I needed to get to a destination that is 4+ miles away from the location I made the reservation at made the experience pretty bad.

First, U-Haul had called us a few days before to let us know that they did not have a truck available for us at the location we had selected for a reservation and that they also did not have the size available (10 foot) so they were going to give us a 15 foot instead at a different location that was further away requiring more travel time for our move. I would strongly suggest trying to honor peoples' reservations. Second, and most importantly, the truck we were given did not work properly (nor was it clean). The ramp was damaged such that we couldn't get it fully out without several forceful attempts and then once we got it out, it wouldn't go back all the way in so we could not actually close and secure the truck with a lock nor could we drive it around safely without the back door flying open or fear that the ramp would become loose. We called the hotline and also submitted the issue online. We waited for about an hour on hold on the phone and only got a call back because of the online submission. After several hours we were told they were not able to have someone come out to fix the truck since no one was available. We then were told that we could attempt to secure the back of the door as well as the ramp ourselves. We did this with twine (which is all we had) and drove about 20 mph with one of us in a car following closely behind. Luckily, we were able to get our things to our location as well as were given almost a full refund for this trouble; however, I strongly urge Uhaul to check that ALL equipment is functioning properly. We never expected that we would be given a truck where the ramp would be damaged resulting in several additional hours of troubleshooting as well as not even being able to leave the truck since we couldn't actually lock the back. The ramp functioning was not something that was on the checklist prior to our leaving the lot. This experience was very stressful, unsafe and I will most definitely not ever be using Uhaul again and will discourage others from doing so.

All the employees were helpful and listened. The manager Mike really stepped up when I found myself in a bind and couldn't get to the rental car location. He made sure I got there safe and right away. I am so happy with the service at this location.

I waited in line for over an hour to get my rental truck. There was no AC in the building and it was the hottest day of the summer. The website prompts for a “mobile pickup” but that does not exist and you still have to wait in line. It was the worst experience I've ever had picking up a U-Haul.

The uhaul facility was great and had employees that did the job well, even with a line out the door. I would commend the team because I used to work for uhaul about 10 years ago as an AGM. I was going to write a positive review, but it's UNACCEPTABLE to find out that I was charged $20 for “after hours” fee. WHAT IS THAT? I've used uhaul for many years… and worked for them. I've NEVER heard about this before. It WAS a perk to use uhaul because you can night drop equipment. TELL ME WHY I should PAY MORE MONEY to return the equipment? shake my head. I'll think twice about using uhaul again. You may have honestly just lost a long term customer over $20. Tell those corporate “people” that their new ideas are horrible!

I start my review saying I booked picking up my truck 8am, I got there 8:15am and I only left with the truck after 9:15am. They gave me the worst truck they have, with the check engine signal on, the truck making an absurd sound, low mileage with a gallon of gas, I spent a lot of money on gas with this truck, time to return the truck, there's absolutely no sign saying that we have to check out the truck online, and I returned the truck clean and I pressed the wrong button saying that the truck wasn't clean so uhaul charged me the cleaning fee when the truck was actually clean. I felt lied to on my truck reservation because I ordered 17ft truck and the next day, somebody called me, told me that they only had 10ft trucks and told me that the uhaul in all locations in my area had no big trucks this weekend. But friend of mine, rented a big truck, like a 26ft truck on the same day with no reservation request. He just showed up at the Woodinville uhaul location and got a big truck. In my opinion, somebody is lying to the customers. I paid more for a bad service truck.

We had a reservation days in advance. When we arrived, they did not have a truck for us. They did get us the same size truck by using one marked for "one way" only which we were pleased with. However, it took almost 30 minutes to figure the situation out. Manager shared that he would figure some sort of discount out when we returned the truck since we would not be getting our full amount of time. Unfortunately, this did not happen when we returned the truck. Also, I am wondering where U-Haul stands on employees having their vapes in their hands and on the counter when serving customers? Thanks you!

Schedule and wait time are awful. They had me drive to woodnville (20 miles away. Original pick up was seattle) to pick up a truck because the one I reserved was not there. Then went to woodinville and they said that truck wasn't there. Rescheduled for the original location the next day at 7am but for a smaller truck so we had to make 2 trips on our move. To top that off They charged me $20 for gas even though i filled it up halfway again. I run a buisness this is unacceptable.

There was not a vehicle available for me and many other people and we had all reserved a van or truck. This left us and others scrambling to find another option, when many of us had tight schedules. The people were nice about it, but I will not be using uhaul again, especially if I'm in a tight timeline.

A UHaul representative called and told me I'd have to pick up my equipment at another, somewhat distant location (in Everett). When I got to that location, they said, 'I don't know why they had you come up here, the equipment you want is down at your original pickup location.' I wasted about an hour and a half of what was supposed to be my 12-hour rental period. At the end of the day, we got the job done, but I didn't appreciate all the time lost, extra phone calls, changed plans, and extra driving.

I filled out all the paperwork ahead but I spent 50 minutes waiting in line. At one point my son went to see where the employees went as no one was helping those in line. A group was standing under a tree on their phones. If they are running behind they should approach the people in line, not avoid, and let us know they are behind, apologize, and say they are working as fast as they can.

The location was great. In fact, every employee of uhaul whom I dealt with directly was awesome. However, uhaul corporate is a shit-show and I have some choice opinions about them after my recent experience. It was nothing short of a nightmare for 48 hours. My core piece of feedback: Don't mislead people into thinking they're making a reservation and then change things up 48 hours before they're expecting to pick up their equipment and carry out their planned move. That's what happened to me, I made a reservation weeks beforehand and then 48 hours before our nicely planned move uhaul turned my world upside down by informing me that I didn't actually have a reservation...instead it was a sort of place-holder and within 48 hours of when I thought I was going to pick up my rental equipment, the rules changed and all of our carefully laid plans to move with minimal stress imploded. Now moving with minimal stress was important for us because my wife was 26 weeks pregnant at the time... But that all got turned upside down and I feel that the underlying uncertainty and flexibility of my "reservation" was poorly communicated from uhaul. We made the move happen though. Thanks, uhaul, for lending us your truck. You've got awesome people working for you and should definitely pay them more because I was NOT the only pissed off customer and some of the other customers were not being nice (understandably so), but the employees didn't deserve to take flak for uhaul corporate's fuck-ups. So uhaul, pay your entry-level and store management employees more because they're carrying the load and likely getting the smallest piece of the pie. And get your shit together.

The rental truck over heated and broke down, we had to wait 1 hour 45 minutes until the engine cooled off and a nice lady let me borrow a plastic container to put water in the radiator which was over a gallon.

not a fan of the online vehicle inspection process. It was slow to load, hard to see photos, and the link expired too quickly. Just stick with the in person walk around.

I would recommend the location, unfortunately it wasn't close to my apartment so it was a bit of a drive. I stopped by the one closest to my apartment and had purchased a few items such as a hitch and a lock. They also sold me something else that when we went to this location in Aurora, they were like uh you definitely don't need that. So now it's just a pain to return.

The crew and management here were really great, but I had issues in other ways. I paid over $4000 to get my u-boxes shipped to the right location so that I could, at my leisure, pick one up at a time and get load. My boxes were sent to the wrong side of the bay. They could not get my boxes to the correct side of the bay until August 20. I was given the option to go pick up a truck, an hour and a half, in the wrong direction, ferry across($63), unload my boxes into the truck( the whole reason I got the boxes is so I didn't have to deal with a truck and the loading of, had to throw some things away because it didn't all fit, ferry back(hour wait to get on and another $63) get home and unload everything instead of being ably to unload at my leisure. Again, The crew at shoreline was great and helpful and I know the logistic issue is not their fault. I lost a lot of money, time and energy from all of the extra we had to do. Please send some kind of resolution to this. And help assure it won't happen again.

Truck bed had gravel rocks and sand.and i was hauling furniture. Clean the truck bed. One of the tires had low pressure and i had to put air in the tire because i didn't notice until after i left the lot. Check your equipment.

The young lady there was great but otherwise the hour wait (for a reserved online truck) was too much. Everyone else working around her seemed to go at a snail's pace and didn't seem to have any urgency. I realize labor is tough to come by and hopefully when that changes, this will change.

Was waiting in this drop off zone because there was a sign that said wait for an associate to come help and after waiting for several minutes and nobody coming we went inside to return it. He took our key and said he would email the final receipt to us and they charged us for an extra day because we were like 5 minutes late from waiting outside for someone who never came. So stupid and just looking for ways to take more money from customers.

I was told there were no complimentary blankets, so I bought 2 extra bags, when I only needed one. I was double charged. I returned it with more fuel than when I received it. If I didn't check my bank statement, Uhaul would have charged me close to $500 dollars for less than 24hrs/50 miles of use! . Check my records. I had to literally take a half of day off of to try and fix this. I'm still waiting for the TOTAL. Please help me

Trucks need cruise control. Drive from Seattle to Orlando and no cruise control kills your leg after hours of driving. A backup camera system is kind.of a no brainet, yet it didn't have one.

I reserved a 20ft for a small 4 bedroom house we were moving out of and the day before they called and told me that all they had was a 17ft truck and the morning when i get they my reservation was changed to a 15ft truck! Needless to say i was NOT able to complete my move in 1 trip and with gas as expensive as it is required me to spend so much more. Infuriating experience.

I booked my truck on line. When I got there the web site wouldn't let me pick my van up. So I waited in line, with only 1 customer ahead of me, for 40 minutes. When I got to the front the guy had to go and help someone with a problem. When I sighed and said 'oh no' He turned to me and said "you don't have to wait you know" He then gave me a van that I later found out was assigned to someone else. After I returned the van I got a phone call 2 hours later asking when I was going to return the van! Then I was billed over $500. When I returned to sort it out, the same guy said to me "why you getting upset with me?" I said because you have charged me over 500 bucks for a van. He then said, "I don't have to take this this shit" and he went and got his manager. This guy needs to find a new line of work. Customer service is not his thing. The manager then told me I was being charged $3000 because the van I was driving was assigned to someone else who damaged the van that I was assigned. The manager did sort it all out and was very good, but over all a total shit show. I rent roughly twice a month, but never at this location again!

I understand how things can get overwhelming, especially on your busiest days. However, on this day, there was a long time with no one at the desk for an extended period of time. I waited for over an hour, with only 4-5 people ahead of me, before I was helped. I had even received an automated phone call from U-haul (nothing to do w/ this particular location) informing me they will need to cancel my reservation if I don't 'show up' in the next hour. Even though I was at the location. It would be helpful to have communication between the staff and the people waiting. Express that y'all are busy and everyone is doing their best to get things moving on all ends. This would relieve tension on both sides.
