There were a huge difference between the gaz level indicated in the bill before leaving and the gaz level in the van. I was charged for 7L and also charged 2 more km. I had to spent an our to resolve all this. I'm suspecting that Uhall is using of those discret strategies to increase its benefits, because not all people verify and take notes of difference before departure after turning back. I'm very very disappointed of this experience. It could be a very interesting subject of journalistic investigation.
Amine B.The particular rental unit I had has a giant fan / air exchanger type machine blocking the space up above about 6 ft. The wall showed the signs that there was water damage in the past. For me there was no issue but if I wanted to rent longer with more belongings to store, I wouldn't be comfortable with that unit. Otherwise I cannot complain about the employees or services.

Michael M.I uploaded my driver's license to the UHaul site, as instructed, before going to pick up the car. However, there was no mention on the site that, as an international person without Canadian citizenship, I needed to also bring *additional* forms of government ID, such as a passport. This is quite frustrating because it was only at the counter, when I was checking in, that I was told this was necessary. UHaul should include a notification or reminder on its website so that, when international people, are uploading their driver's license, they are informed about other/additional requirements. This is an easy fix and would have saved me – and the UHaul representative working at the counter – a lot of stress and frustration.

ioannis K.Billing error. I contacted customer service twice about it but issue remains unresolved. It's illegal in Québec to charge sales tax on a service that was neither rendered nor invoiced! I've rented about 10 times at this location in the last 2 years. Half of the times there's a billing issue: mileage on contract higher than on odometer, gas level lower at checkin than declared, insurance charged when it was declined, contractual rate not respected. You'd better check your contract and invoice carefully at this location as "errors" are always to the benefits of that U-Haul franchise and are all too frequent. There's a pattern of overcharging clients. If U-Haul wants to charge more, they should increase their rates and tell customers instead of being sneaky on the billing hoping the client won't find out. When the client finds out they should correct the error promptly without telling customer "tough luck, my manager isn't around so I can't make any adjustment". Crooks!

Martine B.The trailer's door and floor were old. The door was very loud when opening it. There is a lot of cracking noise a soon as someone steps in the trailer. Even though the road to Alberta was paved, there was a lot of dust on my boxes when I opened the trailer's door to unload my things.

I was promised a 50$ credit to my account which has not to be applied since the 20 foot truck was not available and changed on me the day before. 2. I had a 40 min wait for the truck when I arrived. The service point was understaffed for the majority of the time. The location also smelt very bad. 3. No extension was offered when returning the now smaller vehicle that I had less time with 4. I had to hire movers this weekend to continue to job due to the smaller job. I am looking for my 50$ credit to go to a full refund for the inconvenience. Thank you 647-642-3548

Steeve S.Il faut un téléphone intelligent et un accès internet pour la prise en main (soumission de photos sur l'état du véhicule) et le retour (photos à soumettre) de la location, mais le système marche très bien et offre une facilité et une souplesse dont certaines autres compagnies devraient s'inspirer. Du coup, le service est excellent!
Yvonnick L.We had issues with the mobile self pick-up, the agent hung up on my mom who simply said "Can you speak slowly, I don't speak much English..." We then had to go inside the store and wait behind a lot of people and were very late to move and it caused us a ton of problems We were told the truck was going to be at 3637 Cremazie Ouest but it ended up being at 306 Cremazie Est. The truck in the pictures had no bumps on the side, while the truck we had did. We had a lot of issues trying to upload the pictures.

That change was completely unacceptable. Luckily the local office was reasonable and found us a truck we could take.
Gregory A.I made a reservation for a 20' truck for a one-way trip. I had chosen this location because it was the closest one that offered the possibility of one-ways. The day before the rental I was informed that one-way was not possible and I would have to drive back to the location I picked-up the truck. To compensate for this, I was offered a lower price and more kilometer than in my initial reservation. The day I went to get my truck, I was informed that the price I was told was no possible, and that I would have to pay by hour + any kilometer I was driving. The day ended up costing me 3 times the price I was told the day before. The employees at this location offered me a very bad service, and didn't take time to offer me a good solution other than "wait for the manager". When you're on a tight schedule on a moving day, this kind of answer from employees is very inconsiderate.

Sans nous prévenir, ils nous ont changé le lieu où il fallait récupérer le camion et le nouveau était à 1h15 de distance. La compagnie n’a rien fait pour nous dédommager dans les 2 cas. C’était la pire expérience de déménagement.

When trying to reach the location, i kept getting transferred to the central. The people I spoke to (3 people at 3 different times) could not reach the Cremazie location either. No one at the location was logged onto the chat even though it was during hours of operation. It took me over 2.5 hours of calling and waiting to finally be able to upload my ID which was already on file (the system wouldn’t recognize it) and process payment. I received no help from anyone. Then when I got to the location, a padlock was in the locker I had rented. I had to wait in line in order to get someone to give me access to my new unit. (I was transferring from a large unit to a smaller unit. I’ve been a customer at this location for 13 months.) Not to mention I was provided with the managers email address in order to request help and he never responded to my email. Overall, below average service. It’s disappointing.

When I came to the facility on the moving day I was told that the unit I booked is not available and I can only get a smaller one (5' x 5 or 5' x 8'). I chose a 5' x 8' one, finalized the deal and went to check the unit to find out that it has a massive concrete pillar right in the centre (it's part of the building that just happened to be inside the unit that I was given). The staff were friendly, helpful and professional, but I would not recommend anyone using U-Haul storage services because of poor reliability. Everything could have been handled in advance by a simple phone call.

Déception pour un premier contact.

Granted its busy during peak times of the month there is still a level of customer service required when people are spending a lot of money with your company, even if they aren't. In a time when money is tight for most people and they are spending less, I would imagine that customer retention is high on the priority list for most if not all companies. I will not be renting trucks with U-haul any longer nor storing anything in their facilities.There are many companies that would be happy to have the business. By the way this is my fourth rental this year, one of them being for a cross provincial move. I have been left with a bad taste from my experiences at this point and will be sharing my experiences with friends, family and public. This review will also be copy and pasted to various U-haul outlets in particular the storage facility, and also google.

Donc ce n'est pas représentatif. Les mesures données du locker devrait être réellement l'espace disponible à l'intérieur et ce n'était pas le cas.
