What uHaul doing is called bate and switch and I can assure you the Better Business Burro is going to be getting a report about it in the coming days if the situation is not resolved in a responsible manner. Doug at ext 862174 can fill whomever is reading this on the issues at hand but I will add to the record that the website that allows you to check the vehicle in after returning it is severely crippled. Drop off was confusing because there was no designated area to leave truck, just regular street parking. Which was difficult to find at 8:30p. As taking photo to verify location, I noticed street sweeping sign, circled the block again but there was no parking near the address. confused about where to leave truck. I was on the phone waiting for customer service for an hour+ â€”I think for this specific location this type of situation needs to be addressed. It's a stressful situation. There was no key for the lock that was left on the seat. That was stressful to deal with while moving, I didn't feel like my things were secure or safe while going back and forth. My ordered moving pads and dolly was not provided but I was charged (requested refund)garen D.

Everything was great with one exception. The return was atrocious. Not in the sense that the physical process was difficult but in the sense that there is NOWHERE to park the vehicle. I mean nowhere. I drove for over an hour trying to find parking for an oversized cargo van in a crowded residential neighborhood in Bushwick, Brooklyn. I had to REFILL the gas tank because I was driving in a circle wishing someone would evacuate their spot. It was absolutely horrible.GABRIEL W.

The assigned vehicle was not present at the first location. I was sent to a second location 20 minutes away and again my assigned vehicle could not be found by me or the staff. The website should also update the location of the office on their website. Thankfully the staff was very helpful, I finally got a vehicle, and the vehicle worked very well. No problems with the van - it was clean and did its job. I only wish I didn't have to run around looking for a van for 40 minutes first. Thankfully it was good weather.Alex R.

Agent behind the desk was EXTREMELY rude and dismissive. Took other clients who arrived after me in the middle of checking me in and kicked me out without addressing the fact that the link he sent me was wrong and that I just needed to read the instructions. I had read the instructionsâ€”the link was broken and therefor I could not properly inspect the vehicle. I was over 30 minutes late to my appointment because he refused to acknowledge a legitimate issue and in turn cost me extra money. Unacceptable.Sarah B.

Look, the folks at the station were great, but the overall experience was unpleasant because of Uhaul's system to â€œcheck inâ€ to a rental at the location. I reserved a truck online, which was confirmed via email by Uhaul. But upon arrival at the truck location I discovered that my online confirmation meant literally nothing, and I had to go through the same process on my phone all over again. Plus, with the added and previously undisclosed indignity of having to come up with a random person who Uhaul people could call or a copy of my lease or something. NONE of the aforementioned requirements were listed when I foolishly decided to preregister online for a rental. Seriously, you're shooting yourself in the foot here. If a Uhaul agent's approval is required for a truck rental, why not sort that out beforehand? As opposed to putting your customers through a phony registration process.Stewart B.
The employees who I interacted with obviously hated their job. One of the employees I spoke with wasn't just clueless (he appeared to have no idea how the intercom worked) but also mean, focussing his frustration on me after becoming flustered with the fact I couldn't hear him through the glass (before he decided to use the microphone / intercom system). I stupidly tried asking him the best way to submit my vehicle inspection photos given that the website was broken. His response was to repeatedly say "take photos with your phone" as though that wasn't already something I had done as a part of the process for submission. I'm not confident he knew what I was asking him, but I assume what he meant to say was that having photos on my camera roll would be sufficient. That being said, I'd rather not have to be contacted to dispute any claims in the future about the significant amount of graffiti on the vehicle at the time of my renting it. But whatever, message received: this crew hates expending any effort whatsoever, let alone when it involves communicating with another person, so I'll be skipping this U-haul dealership from now on. Your process of actually renting the truck and getting moving is TERRIBLE. The site is janky, your phone wait to reach a customer rep to help is 20+ minutes. An app would probable do better. And you need easier navigation of the site/app. this is the SECOND time with uhaul where I go to a location, can't rent out the van/truck, and have to cancel my reservation and then I have to drive to another location just for another reservation when there are multiple trucks just sitting at that initial location, including the one I had just cancelled. This location was great for vehicle rental, however I tried to place 3 orders before getting to 1127 fuel corp and ALL of them did not have the equipment when I arrived. Kudos to this place for making pick up and drop off easy and having the correct equipment. Would have rated this excellent but the photos of the trucks do not match the rental when you are checking in via mobile. If a customer did not notice and log the dents and scratches themselves, they could get stuck paying for damage to the vehicle that they did not do.Camille C.

The reservation was transferred from a closer location to this location, and the rental time was changed. How is it even called a â€œreservationâ€ if the time and place are subject to change? It's more of a â€œletter of intentâ€ or â€œgood guess.â€ Also, the mobile app is garbage. I gave all information and timed out after 10 mins, had to scan the location barcode 8-10 times, got â€œproblem is on our sideâ€ messages logging in before that. A person was at the UHaul window, but I had to do the entire process from my phone and every step was a little confusing and I had to ask him so many questions, it would have been easier for him to do it himself.
