The internet connection to the U-Haul website could have been easier to connect with at that location. The lady at the counter tried to finalize the contract twice and finally basically hand wrote contract to enter later. She was super helpful.

Benoit LCargo trailer was full of snow as the door had been left opened and the inside was also full of hay as it wasn't cleaned from the last rental. Had to wait for the manager to get to the store location when we picked up the u haul as the employee wasn't trained for this service (uhaul rental) and also had to wait for manager when we returned the equipment.

Shawn KThe tow dolly had been dropped off likely by a one way rental. It was seriously damaged. One tail light missing altogether, the opposite side fender and mount destroyed. It still worked as a dolly for us towing locally with the towed vehicle lights flashing. This is not a U-Haul issue, but a client who failed to report the damages incurred. The company gets blamed for so much, but so often the equipment is damaged by the users and concealed or not reported.

Andre TThe price was a little high for only four hours of use. Also, for such a small load I was carrying ( 250 pounds or so ), the truck I used was pretty hard on gas especially in a mostly highway drive and barely any idling.
Kevin LThe woman tried to tell me that I couldn't do the drop-off online so that she can make some money with doing it herself. I filled up with gas to exactly where the gas tank was at, and Uhaul still tried to overcharge me since the gas marker was NOT the same as what they marked on the contract. Good thing I took a photo of the gas marker in the truck before I first drove it. Honest businesses don't do that to customers.

Pier-Luc DI registered for mobile pick up which is not actually available at this location. I almost missed my delivery in Alexandria. The associate who was there at 730am was unknowledgeable. When the manager came in at 8, the experience was nicer. She was kind and helpful. However it doesn't change that my request was not properly done.

Amol VThe disappointing part of all of this is the cost of the mileage being applied - The suspension of the truck is not comfortable, very bouncy ride - the fuel consumption of the truck is not good, you should have diesel trucks, but I guess you wouldn't make money, unless you charge way more per miles or kms - Also you truly believe the best approach when renting trucks is that you have the representatives at the U Haul locations fill the trucks with gas and have customers fill the trucks back full in order that all parties know exactly how much gas was used with no surprises - have all trucks cleaned out of garbage, cigaret butts etc.... - have trucks tested before picked up by customers to avoid complications (engine noise, power steering etc... fluid checked etc.... customers should never be responsible to mechanical verifications and problems on the road because of lack of proper maintenance -
GILLES CHad trouble with dispatch, not the location. They cancelled my reservation twice and I was scrambling, hoping to get a truck for my move. This was very stressful. Once I had the truck, things went well.

Murray WI made my reservation at the beginning of March for a location in Ottawa. The day before the pick-up I was informed that I would be picking up the truck in Gatineau. This was somewhat inconvenient, but doable. I decided to call the location to confirm the pick-up and was transferred to an agent. I was then informed that the reservation in Gatineau was a "Black" reservation, which was explained to me that no truck would be available. Fortunately the agent found a truck for me in Hawkesbury - a 240 km round trip to pick up and get to the location of the move out. Thank goodness I called. If I had not I would have been left high and dry. I had heard that U-haul was notorious for taking reservations and dicking around their clients. Not impressed and will likely look else where when looking to rent a truck going forward.

Annie COur appointment was at 8 o'clock in the morning and the lady arrived 20 minutes late. There were no snow brush in the truck, there was a big snow storm that day. There were no windshield fluid

Evan SLocation did NOT have proper cables to connect lights. A jumper cable was required. They had several trailers on site but no cables. I left with no trailer lights. Dangerous !!! Staff friendly and transaction was quick.
David AAbsolutely no regard for people's reservations, our truck was not available on the move day, and had to drive over an hour to pick up other accommodations. A simple call stating the truck I was supposed to have wouldn't be available due to needed repairs, would give me the time to plan out my day. 2 days prior when I called to make sure the truck would be there, they said it was all good. Absolutely disgusted with the service I recieved.
robert gI had a promotion because U -haul dosen't have 26" and the person at Hawksbury can't put the 40$ off on the rent like the person tell us by phone last tuersday during confirmation call... and she change the date for saturday 8h00am then sunday 8h pm ... So we had a VERY VERY BAD EXPERIENCE we are very hungry... it's my 2th time I rent U-haul and 2/2 I have vedy BIG bad experience

Arthur OThis was not the original pick up location. In fact, I only learned that the pick up location changed less than 24 hours before pick up. No email or text had been sent to notify me, I only found out because I logged into my account to double check everything. The new pick up location was at least only a 30 minute drive but it was a good thing we were able to get there easily.
sabrina olights not working. no one could close my invoice. i had to wait almost an hour before someone showed up. Finally the manager game me a credit.

Lloyd MThe Truck had garbage inside when I received it. I paid for the equipment and the truck online prior. When I arrived I was told I had to pay for the equipment again the U-haul representative told me there were (added taxes) even though I showed a receipt I paid for the equipment already. Over all poor service I had to pay extra mileage even though I told them I would be driving the truck to Ottawa and back. Would not recommend this place to anyone I know

Barbara LMy original reserved vehicle was not properly inspected, not road worthy, no assistance from site operator, very difficult to reach u-Haul by phone, screwed up my perfect itinerary, traveled extra miles to go pick up a different vehicle at a different location. Phone number provided for that location was not valid, almost didn't get the second vehicle. That vehicle was not clean and dash board called for an oil change. Location couldn't print the paperwork. Hawkesbury site operators were very pleasant and willing to help I must say. Not my best experience. The worst part is the inability to reach anyone by phone for hours.
richard bThe app doesn't work. I had booked under 24/7 feature with mobile pickup. Worse experience ever. I never selected insurance but the charges appeared on my invoice. Never renting from u haul again.

Impossible de rejoindre par téléphone pour confirmer si des équipements étaient de retour. Déplacement obligé. Deux équipements disponibles mais le commis n'avait pas accès au système informatique et ne pouvait pas honorer la réservation
Roselyn LEndroit extrêmement sale, mal entretenu et non invitant, et ce, tant à l'extérieur qu' à l'intérieur. Ceci nuit à la réputation du UHaul , les camions et les remorques sont mal disposés, au milieu de gros déchets qui ressemble à un dépotoir. Par contre aucun soucis avec la transaction mais l'endroit et le personnel n'inspire pas confiance.
