I tried using the Uhaul app because it was after hours. The app could not take the pictures, so I could not proceed with the return on the app. It was about 8:30pm on 11/12/2021 I tried with a second phone (also Android) and it didn't work. Probably the app had issues on that day and time.Marco C.

Truck was not checked and cleaned before I picked it up. There was cement all over the moving compartment floor which I had to sweep and then clean with an leaf blower. Also, the truck fuel tank was nearly empty.Agustin M.
Reservation was made for a move from San Antonio to Corpus Christi. I don't understand why the vehicle had less than a quarter of fuel. When a person is making a trip of this distance small details matter. It is very surprising to me that service is not higher in the priority list. Additionally, when I returned the vehicle the service attendee was taking for ever to give me a final price. This should be on an Excel spreadsheet or some other form to compute the final tally quickly. Customers do not want to wait because your company seems unprepared. Overall I will not be returning as a repeat customer.JEFF M.

The employees took to long and demanded a $100 deposit over the rental rate quote. When I made the reservation, I was not told a deposit would be required over the rental rate. I had movers waiting for me and they charged extra. I was out $150 I didn't count on extra expenses. This was all due to the pickup station problems.Teresa A.

First, there was little to no room to drive or park the rental. When I Thecame back to return the truck, there was a random vehicle parked in the spot I needed to park. Then, the uhaul app is REALLY buggy. Improvement to the software is definitely necessary. I spent 20 mins trying to get the app to accept my photo of the odometer and there wasn't anyone available to assist me when I needed it. I tried using a different phone to see if it work. I tried signing in and out of the app. Didn't work. I managed to find the phone number to uhaul customer service after having to listen to what seemed like a five minute recording, I was hung up on/the call dropped the first attempt to speak with a representative. I would highly recommend to just use a rental during office hours because that was the worst experience.Charlene H.

The issue is . I tried to return the truck early , within 5 hrs of rental . When I tried to return it I was not able to find a place to park . I don't know how many trucks they have but only had room for 4 and one cargo van . I came back three time, wasted gas and mileage . I called uhal to find an alternative but I had to return it in the morning . I had no one to pick me up the next day and had to pay Lyft . I'm am 63 yrs of ageRose V.

the location for pickup was not an issue. The issue is with the larger organization and their lack of customer service. I had to travel additional distances to gather the dolly's I had ordered and it cost me time. I also had the pickup location changer at the last minute.Jack P.

Caught the U-Haul was not clean when I picked it up. But because I have been call renting U-Haulâ€˜s from this location for years and it is now being done differently call mama without any interaction, cause I did not tell the girl that I spoke to that it was dirty in the back. Core that the cab was a little dirty as well. Actually, I could handle all of this it was no big deal. But when I was returning the truck I explained this to the girl and she said she would let it slide this time but I needed to tell her when I rented it. She was just extremely short and rude and hung up the phone on me when I told her that she had never told me to check the truck initially. She just made an easy process kind of heavy because of her being rude and short. But I will continue renting from you all as always and I appreciate her and all of you working during a tough time in the world.LAURA A.

i had to wait outside while speaking on the phone to rent the van. The first time I rented from this location they did NOT have the van i requested online. I was not contacted. I had to drive to a different location (Parkdale) which added mileage to the rental. However, that location was professional and had good service.. Parkdale let me inside and we wore masks. I rented online again from Nakoma bc of the location. ($50 guarantee). I couldn't hear the lady on the phone (nakoma u-haul is by an airport) and i felt bad (and rude) telling her to speak up. (she had a soft voice). But then a guy went inside while I still waited outside, also this guy was blocking the cargo van, and i had to ask the lady for him to move his SUV. It was about 90 degrees outside. So I am on the phone for over 10 minutes and then she opens the door to hand me the keys. I think the whole thing could of went a lot nicer and quicker if she would of just met me outside with a mask on.MARIA A.
The address brought us to a tiny parking lot which was completely full. We had to park next door, and then when we went in the door no-one was at the desk. Someone came out right away & told us we were not supposed to come in, just call. The door was COVERED with signs, so we hadn't seen the one instructing us to do so. The truck was in the back & we had to drive around the block to get to it. When calling beforehand to rent and to alter our pick-up time, we had to wait over 30 minutes on the phone.Gerald N.

The ease of using the U-haul app was amazing. It has been hot lately and the traffic on 281/1604 due to construction is horrible during the day; therefore, we were wanting to move at night for cooler temperatures and to not be stuck in traffic during the day. We were able to pick up a truck at 10pm and drop off using the app and we LOVED it! We avoided hot weather and traffic. Will definitely use again for the future.Jessica L.

Being a senior citizen direct customer service is a must. No was present at this location which made pick up of the vehicle a big challenge. I understand we are in a pandemic however, you must consider us older people who are not computer savvy.Susan J.

It seems that every time I get a Uhaul the additional equipment I request/pay for such as dollies, furniture pads are NEVER in the truck. This time I picked up after hours (281/Nakoma location) and again ... no dollies - made for a difficult move. HOWEVER, all-in-all my experience with Uhaul has been very positive. They workers are always gracious. I've never had a problem with a truck. I will go back to the San Pedro location in the future.Teri A.
If someone is at all uncomfortable driving a big truck.....they are packed in so tight at this location that it's difficult to get out.Robert B.
I called uhaul customer service to note that the dolly that I rented was not with the truck. All I asked was for the charge to be taken off my bill and they said it would be taken care of. Then when I got my bill my charge was still on there and I disputed it. Now I still get charged for a dolly that was not loaded and haven't received any word from anyone about it. U-haul just seems to be happy taking money it doesn't deserve. I will not be using uhaul ever again.Stephen M.

NO complaints about the people at Rental Location; U-Haul MUST institute a written and easy to READ policy to either a) DISinfect all rental vehicles BEFORE a pickup OR b) alert the renters to come PREPARED with a bottle of hand sanitizer/ disinfectant etc.. for picking up a non-DISinfected vehicleRamesh J.

Honestly I paid $67 To move 1 bed. I really didn't think I'd get charged more than 35 it's insane how deceiving the prices are. The truck wasn't the same as advertised (a ford not a gmc) it was parked in a different location. It Was parked so horribly. Miss Sara was amazing and really concerned about giving a great customer service. Thumbs up to this location management for hiring young people that at such early age shows a higher degree of professionalism. My only recommendation is to mark the parking space better, you can barely see the lines , i had to park a 20' truck in a really small space since the person next to my space(#2) parked too close to my space,Will rent again from this place and will look for Sara too, good job!!!!Ruben S.

The first truck at this location that i was assigned had no key in the lockbox so i had to call Nd get a 3rd truck! Be present to meet customers. I scheduled my appointment and checked in the day before via internet. Appointment time 9:00 am. Arrived and no one there to help at all. Waited 45 minutes then canceled U-Haul service and rebooked at same location via mobile pickup. When returned was charged for gas even though I stopped before drop off to put tank back where it was when I picked it up. These people should loose their U-Haul franchise.michael B.

Ensure gas levels are truly full, used the truck for quick storage run. Prior to returning the rental I topped off the gas to full as required. Paid $10, (5 gallons) return mileage minus starting mileage resulted in a total of 11 miles....simple math indicates the truck burns half a gallon of gas per mile. Obviously the tank was not truly â€œfull â€œ when I checked out.Brian P.
