The rental location is convenient and the vehicle was well maintained. Unfortunately, the office is not open for rental on Saturdays, but they do offer mobile rental services which sounds great in theory, but the app is a major fail. We rented twice and had the same issues. It took over and hour and a half to work through the issues which wasted our time and tried our patience. We tried troubleshooting using the live chat which proved to be worthless. In the end, we were able to get someone from customer service handle the glitches with the app (that seem to be on ongoing issue) so that we could rent the vehicle. Our hope is that U-haul addresses the ongoing problems with their app or just doesn’t offer it an option.

Your app leaves a lot to be desired. I was informed that if I go over 100 miles I would get a flat rate charge which is much more than .99 per mile. Nowhere did I see this when I made the reservation. Also I was overcharged for gas even though the vehicle was returned with the same amount of gas, if not more, than when I got the van. I also got a text to do an online check in, because the facility was closed. In the fine print was a $20 charge if this was not done. I feel these are questionable business practices.

I requested a hand truck with my truck rental, which was not loaded when I picked up. The location was closed and locked, so I marked that the equipment was not available when checking the vehicle out online. I mentioned it again when turning the vehicle in, and the employee stated I would not be charged. I received my final bill that included a $7 charge for the hand truck I did not receive. Aside from that, the entire process was smooth and easy, with no other issues.

Front passenger tire was extremely bald and a bit scary to be driving on and the exhaust in the truck was very loud. Transmission also was very sluggish. Pickup location was fine, truck could use some work.

Keep the reservation the customer requested many days before and not wait 15mins before pick up to tell them they need to drive another half hour at another location to pick one one. Then make sure to accommodate them with money for tolls and extra gas money. Terrible experience I had

I called Uhaul in advance. The customer service associate was more concerned about how long we were going to take to get there more than providing the service that we needed. However, it was late in the day so I could understand his haste. I inquired about price in which they presented a different rate. They never informed my cousin and i of the deposit. Moreover, they were not welcoming at all. This is not good for business. Upon arrival, I was informed of the actual amount for the deposit, so we needed to go back and get more money. When we came back, a woman had to reprocess our reservation. She was also sullen and flat. Needless to say we get the truck and we get back by 735. We were in a rush and my cousin left his keys in the van. I called and left a message to inform them. We were there at 825am in which the same sullen woman met my cousin at the door and told him he couldn't ever rent from Uhaul again. I did not give my information nor my card for the reservation and yet I receive a receipt more than a week later with the wrong address and the wrong name. Lastly, I'd like to add when I googled this establishment I received a completely different number and had to be given the correct number from a very kind man. I wish I could remember his name because he was the only one who had exceptional customer service skills and a warm Southern accent. I usually don't give places bad reviews. I do my best to support the businesses around my area however this is unacceptable. Whoever owns this establishment needs to be made aware of this and improve their processes as well as educate their staff. Good day!

The moving help that I ordered on the U-haul website was for two workers for 3 hours. They never showed up. The mover was called "Better Call Sal". The charge of $365.95 was posted to my credit card almost instantly when I reserved the truck. The BCS guy kept saying during the week that he never received my text messages with information. It cleared showed on my cell phone screen that the messages were sent. I tried to get confirmation on Friday afternoon and then Saturday morning but I never got a text response. a couple of us had to load heavy furniture and mattresses into the u-haul truck ourselves and then into the next house. If I don't hear back from u-haul in the next 24 hours, I will call my credit card company to stop the payment.

Need better customer service. Didn't sign a contract to start rental. Didn't have the additional equipment I asked for reservation was in over 2 weeks in advance. Had I known I would have went to another location. When dropping off rental was told drop keys on desk we will get to it and will receive email in 20 mins. There's four keys sitting there and two people not doing anything could have at least checked it while I was there. I was so frustrated at that point never again. I have been renting from Uhaul at least once a week for the last 6 weeks from one location and the service is 10 times better than this location. Never again will I rent from here.

Truck was on its last legs. We were supposed to go to a town a bit further away to drop off furniture but did not attempt to drive 20 minutes further because the truck sounded terrible. We never went over 40mph because of the engine. Very expensive for the quality.

Give suggestion to bring ez pass or change to help remind customers who might be using the parkway. Return truck process suggested to drop key off before adding in pictures ?? We locked the door and dropped the key in the drop box as instructed before being asked for pictures of the inside/dash.

Made a reservation to pick up at Eatontown first. When I went through the process the system would not fine me a lock box code. Then I called and was told to get key from attendant who told me I had to use lock box. cSR creates new reservations at Cindy La location where everything worked smoothly.

I had to use the app for pickup and return. It did not work properly in either case. During pickup, when I went to put in pictures of the slight damage on the truck, I didn't know beforehand that they had to be taken already. When I went to take the picutres and came back to the app, it had already closed. On return, I tried to take the photo of the odometer about 10 times. The app never accepted the photo so I could not finish the checkout process. When I took a picture of the odometer normally, the reading was clearly visible.so I don't know why when the app asked for the picture it wouldn't accept it. While I can see how the app can be useful, it needs work to be a reliable replacement for a person.

On the journey we had the rear tire blow out and were on the side of Rt 95 N in a precarious spot to avoid traffic. The tire was shredded. and the Uhaul roadside assistance support failed us by putting our call on hold for over 45 minutes. Finally had to resort to calling the regional rental office to demand they contact roadside assistance to address our situation. A contracted vendor, Pete's Tire Barn, came out to replace the tire 45 minutes later.

9’ van - front and rear tires dangerously under inflated for a hundred mile highway trip each way. Franchisee’s employee not really caring about it when I pointed that out..told me to go to a gas station..yeah like I didn’t know that. Door sticker says rear tires get 80 lbs and they were at 25 lbs. front tires should be at 55 but driver side front was 20 lbs and visibly under inflated. I’m not happy and they didn’t seem to care about that
