Recommend utilizing your smart phone for pickup and drop off. Easy process and is independent of the locations business hours. Very convenient. This location is great as its only 5min from Hwy11.

The owner of the store was very helpful after the total poor customer service we got from the u-haul dealer at 10 Western Ave in Orillia. I would not recommend that place at all. We had our truck and pickup time totally changed and we were never informed of the change. When we arrived at the pickup location the store was closed, the whole area was kind of sketchy as well. I called the business number after waiting 30 minutes for him to arrive only to find a VM box full. He did finally call me back and he said he would call me right back but never did. I was so upset with the poor service I filed a verbal complaint with U-haul. (still waiting for a follow up call from them) I would recommend you call the owner at the Mississaga location he was very helpful in helping us out, he went out of his way to let us know the truck we were waiting for came back early and was ready to be picked up the same day. I would recommend them 100% Thanks for help.

Originally I booked my rental online at another location, in Orillia @ 10 Western Avenue. I had confirmation and when I arrived there was No one there... I missed my appointment and spent over one hour trying to reach someone. After all I was booked for another Location and finally I got a 9 foot Van. I was very Frustrated with the poor customer service at 10 Western Avenue. A total waste of time. Please do something about that Location

Had issues with on line system. No one to talk to at either orillia location. Tried calling multiple times and no answer at any time of day. Transmission made lots of noise from start and didn't just happen and was not looked at prior to rental. If they had checked they would have known instantly

The location appeared to be closed @2p when the person never mentioned this I could the person inside looking at me as I was trying to return the vehicle.It seems like the owner is trying to cash in on the $20 covneinece fee for just dropping the keys. I ended up dropping the key before I was able to take a proper picture of the fuel gauge. I eneded up doing the online return to avoid this fee

Vehicle was filthy. The steering wheel was Sticky” and centre console had stains from spills and dirt on it. The foot well had a dustpan full tank f dirt and sand. When returning the vehicle 5 hours later, I was unable to check in the vehicle because my location wouldn't register. I was charged a “late / convenience fee” as a result. I'm not impressed. The store attendant was helpful and provided an acceptable solution to the overbooking of the van. Did not put in the blankets as requested and paid for. The truck was dirty. None of the electronic buttons on the radio worked (menu, auto select, etc. Aux cord plug in did not work.

Maybe bile pickup app wouldn't download and customer service was no help at all, rep kept saying “just give me a second to see what's wrong” and never gave me an answer or any help. The 90 minute delay was only solved when the store owner showed up and got me sorted out and on my way.

Truck was not ready at scheduled (reserved) time of pickup (no keys). Location was closed at time of pickup, so the start of the rental was delayed by over an hour. No compensation for the delay was offered. Since return of the vehicle by mobile phone, no invoice or receipt has been issued or received.

Please have the uhaul's ready with a full tank of gas or close to. Ours was at a quarter of a tank and it made us have to fill up right away rather than at the end of our move.

Stop renting vehicles with 1/4 full gas tanks. It is ridiculous to have to try and bring it back with 1/4 tank. Just a complete waste of my money leaving extra gas in the tank. Get with the program and have the tank full before renting it like any other vehicle rental on earth! The stupidest thing I have ever seen.

First - the ONLINE ordering is NOT properly set up as I had difficulties with it and took over an hour to navigate WHEN I was there to pick the truck up to get the code to open the lock box for the truck key. I have rented here several times and every tike was with a Uhaul Rep at the facility that did all the paper work including Drivers Licence photos etc. The MAIN issue is with NO uhaul rep working at this facility I had NO paperwork to go over WITH the rep for PRE TRIP inspection, I get into the truck and NOTICE A small Chip in the windshield I also notice the ⛽️ fuel is BELOW HALF !!!! I took a pic of the windshield Mileage and Low Fuel. I am waiting to see Uhaul attempt to charge me for the chipped windshield NOT from me And charge me to Fill the Fuel to Full. I put approximately 100 kms ( 60 miles ) On and replaced the FUEL to where it was when I picked it up. I have a Gas Reciept for $40 Canadian @ $1.66 I would appreciate UHAUL to contact me to ensure I will NOT be charged for a truck that was NOT checked prior to me picking it up.

Truck was very unsafe. Tires were bald and it shook so hard when driving it almost went off the road. This should have never been allowed on the road. I couldn't finish my move with it because it was too dangerous.

The original drop off location in Orillia (Western Rd) had no one available (in person) and no one answered the phone. A local merchant explained that no one is ever available, therefore I searched out the River Convenience U Haul location. Maybe look into the original location to ensure proper drop off locations in a strange city.

Great location but vehicle was not clean when I picked it up. Sticky cup holders, garbage in door pockets (including a used mask), a smelled of cigarette smoke + burn hole on the drivers seat.

My UHaul experience in the past has been extremely poor. I have rented a number of times in the past year and each experience has been very poor. Equipment not available at requested location. Having to drive last minute to another locations 45 minutes away. The worst was charged km charge for going back to my area and returning. A few KM trio turned into significant $ due only to fact request equipment was not in right location. The Orillia rental was due to fact I requested from Orillia and was told on arrival my rental was in Barrie. Staff in Orillia was understanding and helped with a different truck. The experience cost me much more than initially budgeted. I am sure this is just an auto email and will not hear back. But thank you for asking

The trailer was not in working order. The safety chain was broken, the lights didn't work, and it was extremely difficult to get the trailer locked on. The employee did not help me put the trailer on or make sure it was attached safely or correctly and it actually popped off once while I was driving. Not impressed with the quality of the trailer or the service at all. Very disappointing from such a well known name as Uhaul.

Although the staff was friendly and courteous, this is the 2nd time in a year I booked a furniture dolly and had to settle for a utility dolly that made the job difficult. Uhaul doesn't seem to bother with a simple thing like checking inventory, why offer what you don't have?

Change your website options. We rented a truck and furniture dollies and this location did not have any dollies. We had to go buy them. Unacceptable. You shouldn't allow people to reserve items if your locations don't have the items in stock ever. He says they have never had them and you guys don't listen to his complaints. I won't use uhaul again after this debacle.

My reservation was cancelled 24 hours prior to pickup. I made the reservation weeks prior. I was offered a smaller truck and required to drive 1:45 hours one way to pick up a smaller truck. I was told that my compensation for driving 3:30 hours to pick up a smaller truck was extra KM on the truck (embarrassing comment) and a reduced charge (for a smaller truck). Ridiculous. From Start to finish I was treated like I had no choice because I was notified 24 hours prior and NO ONE cared at all. Such a dismissive take it or leave it attitude. Everyone acted like your company has a monopoly on cross border rentals ( which you do) and they don't give a shit about customer service. Worst experience in my life. My job requires me to travel all over the world and relocate employees as well. Terrible treatment.

The worst experience ever! I rent trucks often and honestly after this last experience thinking of taking my business to home depot going forward for this last rental was brutal. If it wasn't for calling your 1800 number and speaking with a fantastic representative that day we would never have gotten a rental. As a result of the error from 5 Rivers it took a very long time to finally get us on the road and the owner pulled up just as we were leaving. I tried to explain to him what had transpired but he arrogantly made it clear none of it is his fault but rather U-Haul and made a point to state that he does not work on Wednesdays so basically not to speak to him. I was just letting him know what had happened for his benefit so it would not happen again but he just didn't care and didn't even say sorry for the inconvenience or any kind words you would expect towards a paying customer ... instead he said he would not say sorry for had nothing to do with him. When we returned the truck his sign said OPEN ... we dropped keys off and he was quick to point out again that he is not open for U-Haul but only open to sell variety goods. Also you should know he had nothing nice to say about UHaul either. Real piece of work and a terrible representative of your brand. Feel free to call me if you wish to know more about this experience and the others we have had with this location for we rented a few times now from this location with the same man since it is convenient. Another note.. on each rental we always suspected he was gouging or finding a way to charge more such as stating Gas was a certain level but it wasn't and thankfully we took photos to prove this. Or tried to add additional items to our bill that we didn't click yet he argues that you did as per his computer screen. I had read others comments about this as well but took the risk and and realized that all other comments are true! He mentioned that he has other locations and I have no idea which ones so I would want to steer clear of dealing with him again and that is why with Home Depot the service is clear, certain and kind. It would have been good to know from the start to call the main u-haul tel number for assistance. The manager at the local Orillia store is busy & there isn't an answering machine at that number. The main office representative provided additional information and advice that proved to be very helpful.

The truck had not been cleaned for at least 2 months. It reeked of smoke and had receipts, clothing and garbage. It was obvious it had not been cleaned due to the amount of dirt on the floor and grunge. Very disappointed especially during Covìd.

Have more trucks, provide an easier access to vehicles. Don't change reservations. When your company advertises things actually offer them. I booked 6 weeks in advance wanted a 20 ft truck was told there were none available. I was told I had to take a 15 ft truck and drive 30 min away to get it when there is a depot literally around the corner from my house. The week of my move I received a call saying that the truck that was reserved for me 6 weeks prior was now unavailable and I would have to drive 60min one way to pick up a truck at a time 2 hours later than I had reserved.

Had to change to this location as initial location was an abandoned building with no assistance. Overall the uhaul experience was awful with customer service and getting/dropping off the vehicle (the truck itself was great).

This is about U Haul generally, not the pickup location. Stop changing the pickup locaton on customers, like every day. I asked for Barrie originally. Then you changed it to Orillia. Cool. Then you tried to change it from Orillia to Collingwood around 4 hours before my scheduled pickup. I'd already reorganized my day to be in the Orillia area. I called in and it turned out, there was a 10 foot truck at Orillia after all. So you were totally willing to completely inconvenience me as long as your corporate office didn't have to spend 1 minute to double check availability? That's aside from the fact there should be a truck there - you guaranteed it.
