Jesus LI rented a 26' truck a few weeks ahead of time and then the day before I was to pick it up was told they didn't have one and I had to drive 40 miles from my location to pick one up with no compensation.

Donald SOver charged $207 for mileage I couldn't have possibly put on the truck in a 2 hr times span while I had the truck, actual mileage was 2.miles. I was spoken to in a disrespectful and demeaning manner by both the owner and his employee telling me to take my business elsewhere, they only liked to do business with people born and bred in Wyoming. There is an open dispute Ref # 4528620 into this rental, these people should be stripped of their Uhaul affiliation. My experience from the previous rental at my drop off location was equally horrific when I was again spoken too disrespecfully and felt threatened by the employee

What I did have a problem with is the common practice of uhaul to have more reservations confirmed for a single unit meaning you are more likely to NOT have a unit when you show up to pickup than to have a unit ready to pickup. I now have zero confidence if I were to reserve a trailer in the future, ZERO.

Mitchell KI have no complaints about the people I received my equipment from. However I put in my reservation in about a months advance. The first women who called me from Casper was not accommodating what so ever. I called the original person (Rose) I made the reservation with. Between her and Steve from Upton they were absolutely amazing and very helpful. I picked up my equipment Thursday May 25th as directed per Uhaul, I was supposed to have an extra free day because of the inconvenience. The original reservation was for Friday May 26 thru Sunday May 28th. In order to guarantee the truck they allowed me one extra day Thursday. We then had to pick up a 6x12 trailer in Gillette on Saturday. Between the 15ft truck and trailer I was supposed to be charged $173, that is what I was quoted for one 26ft truck that was unavailable. I have talked to a couple people in Casper WY to correct this issue. I was charged for the extra day of $115, they said they would refund that charge May 29th. Brittany was supposed to be refunding another $101 for the difference of the overpayment of equipment on May 27th. I am still waiting to hear back from her and still waiting to see the refunded amounts. The truck or trailer didn't come with any dollies or blankets but otherwise everything rode from Gillette to Laramie perfectly fine.
Kaley JThe check in process was frustrating. I already provided much of that information prior to picking up the truck on the online check-in I did the previous day. Also, some of the rented equipment was incorrect. I asked and paid for 2 dollies but only received 1.

Jon PI can't rate this site as I had no interaction with anyone at this location. This is the location I was told to drop the tailer off at. I followed the instructions but the U-Haul site was not allowing all pictures to be uploaded. That is not the fault of A1 Recovery & Towing in Laramie, Wy. This falls on U-Haul corporation. I am not pleased with not having anyone look over the equipment that I returned. Since I have to "Rate the Location Overall" in order to submit this survey, I indicated "average", but I really have no idea. If it was for the on-line drop off process for U-Haul corporate, I would rate that as "Poor".

Michael AI dropped off the Uhaul equipment on Friday, but I got an email stating equipment was not returned on the following Tuesday. So, I needed to go back again to the store and found that the employee did not report the returned equipment in the system. It was a panicking moment.
Pramod AThe person who helped me was professional and friendly, and the process of picking up and returning the vehicle was fast and easy. As for the vehicle, it had not been cleaned in a while — the cab interior was grimy with trash in the door pockets and the cab floor was covered with dirt, rocks, mud, and animal hair. The vehicle needed other maintenance, too. The driver's seat was ripped, the steering wheel grip was partially worn off and crumbly, the driver's door would not latch shut reliably, and the driver's side headlight was so dim I thought it was out when I was driving at night. But it got me and my stuff from Point A to Point B. Also, I think $14 per day is too high for the damage waiver, especially when I still have to pay 89 cents per mile on top of the rental fee, and especially when you're not renting me a clean, undamaged vehicle to start with.
Billi Lit sucks that the whole thing relies on my cell phone. there should be set hours and someone always at the desk. when i got there, no one was there. im not from wyoming and had very poor service on my cell phone. it was a miracle that i was able to complete the pickup of the vehicle. not to mention the price -- shockingly high. i was so disgusted by this experience that i chose budget the next week when i completed my cross country move. after having had a few experiences like this, i wont be using uhaul again if i can help it.

madeline kLaramie said if I went over mileage it would cost me an additional .40 cents a mile. Turns out I was charged an additional $1.00 a mile. Quite the difference.
