The pick up of the vehicle did not go smoothly. The store was crowded and we had a hard time talking to the proprietor. The truck was parked in a crowded lot and as difficult to drive it out. Also the check engine light was on in the truck.AMANDAELIZABETH H.

I had a huge problem picking up my truck was not at the location for pick up. I purposely wanted pick up in West Milford because that's where I live, but had to drive an additional 12 miles out of state for pick up no that you charged me for that shouldn't have been this was totally unfair. Also don't understand why I was charged so much. 19.95 a day and the mileage that I used Doesn't add up in my book. I put gas back in the car so you can be charge me for the same amount of gas in it gas in it. I'm Not happy this time I will never use your service again. Totally overchargedDALICE C.

The van was parked behind a Sunoco station which took me a little bit off guard but the staff was friendly professional and got me on the road quickly. While I hope not to need a truck anytime soon, if I do, this is the place I will go.Fred A M.
My experience picking up my rental was fine. - When dropping off the rental I became very concerned because the employee handling the return was not wearing a face mask as mandated by New York State law. This location was a gas station / convenience store that serves deli foods. The fact that this employee was also serving food without wearing a mask is something I plan on addressing with the local health department. The actual U-Haul truck I rented was very good.Raymond H.

Manager wasn't there. Staff has no comprehension of how to follow up with u-haul requests or how to manage customer concerns or questions. Had a confirmation online and still had to call manager to reapply through the entire process over the phone. Not professional and wasted a good amount of time. I would not recommend to get a u-haul at this location.Ian L.

I would like them to supply me with more information on how they bill me. The clerk had no idea when I asked him how much it would cost. By looking at my bill on line I see there is a flat rate plus mileage. This was not explained to me. They were friendly and courteous but didn't explain the billing of the Uhaul truck. I am okay with the charge. It was a mystery to clerk when I brought it back. He told me to check my email. I would use them again, now that I understand how they bill. Diana Donahuedonahue D.

The promised 15' truck was not available and I had to rent a 10' truck, which required us to do 2 trips instead of a One-way Rental. My crew if friends was only able to do the one way, which required 10 hours of additional time for myself and my girlfriend alone moving. Aside from the additional miles and gas, she is laid up in bed for 2 daysrobert M.

Only 1 person there can do UHaul transactions, and he wasn't there when I arrived as scheduled. Truck was stored a half mile walk from this location. Truck was reserved at Mahwah location. Was told by phone the day before pick up that I would have to travel an extra 30 minutes both ways to the Greenwood Lake location. You should not let reservations be placed for trucks do not exist in the pick up location. This experience will keep me from using UHaul again.Christopher R.

After filling out my paperwork which took forever, thank god I did the express check-in before hand, I was told by the unpleasant worker that the trailer was located down the street (3 blocks away). The lot was not supervised, no assistance/direction at all. When I picked up the trailer it was full of debris from a contractor such as broken tile, electrical wire nails, screws, sheetrock, etc. Plaster was even stuck to the gate. I had clean out the trailer prior to using it and ended up with a nail in my tire which had to be repaired in my travels adding to the cost of this small move. The best part of this rental was getting a call two days later from the U-Haul district manager asking if I returned the trailer. Poorly ran location!James B.
Manager was not there after 5pm and other staff were not able to "close out" the rental, so it remained open until the next morning. Not a problem in my case because I had until the next day, but it would have been an issue if the truck was due that evening. Wasn't clear where to park, it was a small has station with limited spots. Very convenient location though, there's no other dropoff around for several miles.DMITRIY G.

The attendon's were very helpful my experience getting to them with the u-haul call person was less then stellar and I will NEVER do that again or recommend anyone to do so we were stuck in a tornado warning with no where to go with the horns sounding all around us because the call center never called when she said she would so the pick up please closed for the safety of there staff and clients witch I did not have that information because I was under the impression the call center called but because she looked and it said open till 5 pm she didn't let them no I was running one hr behind ! When we got to greenwood lake pick up they were amazing and very helpful witch made me great full we were someplace strange to us having people nice and helpful was refreshing thank you!Patti C.

While I had no issue with the pick-up facility itself - I reserved a truck one month in advance and the day before pickup received a confirmation email advising that my pickup location was at this location which was an hour away from the location on my initial reservation. I called immediately and was told the truck I reserved was not available at the location I selected on my initial reservation. What was the point of making a reservation to reserve a truck at a specific location when it was not honored by U-Haul. Would I reserve again from U-Haul - no - would look for another rental option.Robert S.

Super disappointed and the reason I will not be using Uhaul again. Ordered the truck to be picked up at a location10min from my home. The day before, I get an email saying instead, it needs to be picked up over 45min away. Meaning my round trip time would go from 20min to over an hour and a half...changing my plans and our schedule for the entire moving day. Called and there was nothing you guys could do about it. Extremely disappointing and will not be using your company again.Samuel F.
