So... When I got there they said I didn't have a truck there for me, not her fault, it's the Uhaul system that messed up. I ended up getting the truck, but the paperwork was once again completely messed up. I had talked to customer service a few days prior about getting the truck for 2 days because that option doesn't seem to be available on the website??? So she changed my price to 2 days but never put it in the paperwork for 2 days. So now I had to argue with her about a $250 rental for a 15' truck for 24 hours? I sat on hold with your customer service line for 30 minutes and hung up because she got through on her end in 2 minutes. Totally not acceptable. The lady at Acorn was wonderful, but I will never rent from uhaul again because your customer service is absolute crap. Also in the quote the insurance should have been included, so it was a real surprise when my quote went from $208 to $250.James B.

I got charged for an extra WHOLE day for returning the vehicle 15 minutes late. This is completely outrageous and it should be prorated. My house that I closed on today was still staged in which I could not move my stuff in. 1. I was told by a lady on 11/21/20 that a dolly was already in the truck, it wasn't when I picked up the truck. Had to pay extra if needed. 2. When I picked up the truck this other lady was kinds of short and not very friendly. Seemed like she didn't want me there. Maybe because of COVID? 3. We found a used mask or string bikini bottom underneath the middle seat. 4. I won't be back.Bob P.

If U-Haul is going to do business with vendors who do not accept cash payment, it would be valuable to the renter to know that well in advance. Acorn would not accept cash, the young lady at the counter was quite unsympathetic to this issue, and your website did not make this clear.Steve K.

Your online truck return quite frankly sucks. I had to spend 15 minutes of my time doing your employees job. Used to be i dropped off a key and left, apparently that was to easy for your customers so you dumped the responsibility on us. Based on this alone i will not rent from Uhaul again.Adam W.

The manager of the store at Acorn mini storage for renting the U-Haul was precise. It was quick and painless. And was pleasant to work with her on renting the unit.David B.
I will explain why U-Haul has lost my future business by a sequence of events based on my experience. I had a guaranteed reservation to pickup my U-Haul truck at 7pm on 10/6/19 at 1225 Hwy 169 N, Plymouth, MN 55441. Once arrived, the TruckShare app wasn't providing me a code to retrieve my key in the lockbox. I called customer service. My call duration was 41:50. Of which, I was on hold for about 39 of the 41 minutes. I was transferred 3 times, and that was only one of the several calls. This was only to find out that U-Haul admittedly forgot to stage my truck for me. Not only did they forget, but they also scheduled me to pickup my truck at a location which does not offer out-of-state travel, which somehow slipped their mind when sending me my pickup/dropoff confirmation email. I then had to drive 30 minutes to Champlin to pickup a truck that allowed for out-of-state travel. How much fuel was in the tank? A quarter tank. Cab was filthy with dog hair. Tire pressure was low. Once I filled the tires, I hit the road. During transit, noticed the front right tire was leaking air out the nozzle and was down to 24psi. I called customer service and spoke with Kevin. Kevin wasn't even able to track down my reservation when I gave him my phone #, confirmation #, email #, phone #. U-Haul's failure to coordinate logistics resulted in a $50 voucher to me which does not serve justice for my time and frustration spent with you. That's only 5% of my invoice total. For these reasons, I can confidently say I will be resorting to your competitors in the future unless you make this right by crediting far more than $50 to me.Andrew S.

I rented the truck for 24 hours but when I picked it up I was told my time frame showed 21 hours, which put me in serious bind.It gave me only 1 hour to unload and return according to the schedule I set up for myself and others for that day of the move. I mentioned I received an 2 emails, one stating I had it for 24 hours and the other stating it had been changed to 21 hours. When I mentioned this I was asked to please have it back by 21.5 hour mark, as it had been reserved for someone else. Your company charged me a full day because I was 40 minutes late due to road construction along Hwy 169 in Champlin. At Acorn Storage, the people know first hand about the construction. Still no mercy was given me and I was charged a full day's rental fee. I cannot recommend a rental unit that would do this. I was less than an hour late, due to traffic that was not my fault.
